I'd rather have them do PS1 games with high res backgrounds. PS2 games look fine when emulated in higher resolutions.

Well considering each game has sequels coming out and their studios don't seem to be gigantic I would say that signs are positive. There's also the DLC factor.

I think what we're seeing here is just clarification of things like this due to the gigantic outcry about the Xbox One more than it is Sony themselves wanting to talk about this. They though clearly enjoyed shoving the other aspects like game lending in their faces.

I would assume this works just like anything you download on PSN, XBox Live, or Steam, where they just keep a copy on the server that everyone downloads. I don't see why they do it the way you think it works.

Why would games count towards your cloud storage? They're shared between all users.

I don't know why you say no. Both of what you are saying is true. We don't even know if it will support external HDDs for game saves or game data as far as I know.
