  1. Yeah you should have no issue. One thing, though. To get 100% you have to buy all the fabrics and stuff from the shop which is a bit annoying but hey, I wanted to see it say 100%.
  2. Super Crossfire is pretty rad, though playin with a controller took a lot more setup than necessary. Fail on the devs part, I guess.

  3. Epic Yarn is great ... it's just really easy.
  4. I picked up the Indie Royale New Year's bundle simply for Super Crossfire and paid just over the minimum at the time.
  5. Yeccchhhh! Tea is gross! Anyway, I picked this up since I didn't get it for Christmas. Unfortunately it was out of stock so I hope to get it sooner rather than later ...
  6. Reading through the classic Peanuts strips has been interesting so far. I can tell that Charles Schulz was going mostly for humor at the time but it's clear that he set the bar a lot higher than his peers. It'd be nice to see a typical comic page from the 50s to see what so you can compare what people were reading in Blondie or Dennis the Menace when they had this hit them clear in the face:
  7. In that case good luck and the IT guy side of me is compelled to tell you what I'm sure you already know and that is to have up to date backups.
  8. It's been far too long since I did electronics repair. People are asking me questions on flyback transformers and my brain is fried.

No, I did tell him to replace all the capacitors, of course.

Oh, yes. The flux capacitor. That one is tricky. It needs a lot of voltage to get it up and running, like a lightning bolt or uranium.

  9. Sometimes I think I bought a 360 just for shmups and the better version of Bayonetta. It gets turned on once every couple of months. That does remind me that I need to get some Raiden games going sometime.
  10. Still too pricey for me at the moment. I'm going to wait and see how the summer goes and see if they still gouge by then.
  11. Four years ago Iowa gave the most votes to a man who hates his own country and his own people.
  12. Deathsmiles is only $15 at NewEgg www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16874203007 Seriously, how can you pass up a Gothic Lolita Shmup at this price?
  13. Merry Christmas from my wife. She forgot she bought it and gave it to me late:
  14. Yep. Teetotaler here. Why?
  15. Indeed. I hacked my Wii to play imports because Nintendo wasn't releasing games in the US that I wanted to play. I imported instead of pirating. Sadly people don't take that route and it also ends up with a Catch 22. Now with the PS3 being region free I could get disc version of Arcana Heart. Sadly, publishers in the future may think that US consumers don't want more AH.
  16. I don't make resolutions but this year I have some goals 1) Buy a house. We haven't had much luck lately and quite frankly I see no reason to settle for a so-called "starter home." I'm not moving again in three years. I think that house flipping has been shown to be a loser's game for most. 2) Ignore my In-Laws. They have been real shitheads lately and quite frankly I don't understand how people who have so much can be so ungrateful and so unkind to those who don't have as much. 3) Save up and upgrade my PC. I will give my old one a rebuild and give it to my brother. I'm not sure on the budget yet (I'm thinking I can swing $800 as I already have a good monitor, keyboard, mouse etc.) A lot of it depends on how much I have to pay the taxman this year and how much of my old crap I can sell. I already have a copy of Windows 7 to use plus Linux is free, of course. I may just have to roll back Distros as Gnome, KDE and Unity are all unusable to me at this point. 4) Not have any kids yet.
  17. Heh, yeah well part of the issue is that she wants to stream Netflix. Our second TV has a Roku box on it but she prefers the couch. That's why I've been on the PC lately.
  18. Unfortunately I have the time but not control of the TV so my game playing time has been limited. Whomever said marriage was a 50/50 proposition didn't know the half of it. That said, my current games are: Wii; Skyward Sword (only an hour or so into it ) PS3: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night PC: Satazius and the Gundemonium Collection titles. I'm slowly going insane thanks to these.
  19. Whenever I hear of that game (or the musical of the same name) all I can think of is this:
  20. Next Sunday AD? My 2011 list was pretty pitiful but better than my college years I suppose. I do find it interesting that half were older titles that I either never beat or just plain never had (like the Kirby Gameboy games) (Mike Tyson's) Punch-Out Bayonetta Contra 4 Gunstar Super Heroes Jamestown Kirby's Dream Land Kirby's Dream Land 2 Otomedius Excellent Pikmin 2: New Play Control Sexy Parodius Thunder and Lightning Truxton
  21. Came across this in my book last night. I had to stop and reflect on it for a while ... http://tinyurl.com/6up5y8d

Yeah, most new comics are neither funny nor insightful. The only strip that came close to Peanuts in terms of power was Calvin and Hobbes. In fact, many early Peanuts strips feature snowman jokes that would be right at home in a C&H strip. It just really gets me when you see these strips from the "funny" papers with no joke, no laughter and just plain sadness. Schulz really stretched the artform and brought it places it hasn't been since.

Yeah Peanuts was great. Used to have a few of those old paperbacks with some of the strips in them.

  22. The rights to the Capcom arcade AVP need to be sorted out so that it can be ported to PSN/XBL
  23. My family always knew the lyrics but that's because my grandmother was a big fan of Guy Lombardo.
  24. No getting any forum posts pregnant! In all seriousness, Happy New Year. I still have just under 5 hours left.
  25. I think the problem is that for years a PC was nothing more than a beige box. Now many PCs are a black or white box. Apple struck a nice balance in terms of minimalism as style (ripping off Braun designs from the 60s but that's another story.) A friend of mine owns this case which I think is a bit crazy but I give the company an A+ for effort. If we're gonna go classic cool, I'd be more apt to be inspired by a Scott 299C Hi-Fi Stereo receiver. But in the real world, my case sits below the desk so I rarely see it. If I build a HTPC in the future, I want a stylish case that looks at home in the living room.
