Why are the Broodals even a thing? Their entire role could have been fulfilled by Bowser Jr and it wouldn't have felt tacked on like it does now.

After playing Death of the Outsider I decided to do a second playthrough of Dishonored 2, but a couple levels in I realized I wanted to play something I hadn't played before. On a whim I checked Prey on CDkeys and lo and behold it's on there for $18.69, the lowest price I've seen it at.

Yeah, I just tested it with Death of the Outsider, and holy shit it's like night and fucking day. With the in-game framerate limit set to 30 the frametime bounces between about 30 and 35 ms and it feels juddery as hell, but with RTSS's framerate limiter the frametime is a rock solid 33.3 ms. It's console quality 30 fps, which still doesn't feel as good as 60 obviously, but it's playable, which is a huge step up. Sadly it didn't work on the first game I tried it with, Watch Dogs 2, because its anti-cheat software blocks the hooks.

Horizon: Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds It's more HZD, I don't really have a lot more to add. I would recommend it to anyone who liked the base game.

If I ever found a PC game that feels as smooth at 30 as console games do then I'd be all for that (as long as it wasn't like a twitch shooter), but I have yet to find such a game.

The problem they're going to run into is that if they speak out against Trump they risk alienating his base and losing the election that way. Analysis I've seen of Virginia suggests the core "white working class" voters who swung for Trump in 2016 still supported him, it was college educated suburban white people who went over to the dems. If GOP candidates try to go against Trump then they risk either being primaried from the right, or Trump's base just staying home. If they don't speak out against Trump they risk losing those college educated voters. They're damned if they do, damned if they don't, which is just how I like them to be.

I can't play PC games at 30 fps, it's too juddery. Console games at 30 are fine, but for whatever reason they always feel way smoother than PC at that framerate. My best guess is it has something to do with the frame pacing, but it's weird.

Man, the Hitman GOTY missions are not as good as the base game.

Yeah, that's more what they're like. I knew they were reusing locations, but I had hoped otherwise they would be more fleshed out.

Honestly, given what happened with the studio earlier this year, I don't even expect season 2 to be as strong as the first one. I expect some location reuse in the main campaign, at the very least. I hope I'm wrong but I'm willing to cut them some slack here.Â

Right now I'm kinda torn between wanting to support them but feeling like 20 bucks is a bit much for what the GOTY upgrade has to offer.

I don't regret buying it because I got Season 1 for $20 total, and I also want to support them so we can hopefully get a Season 2, but on a strict value/money consideration I don't think it's "worth" it.

Got the Hitman 2016 GOTY upgrade and Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds, because both those games are great and I can't say no to more of them.

I started playing Rebel Galaxy today, and the music really sells that game. The game structure is basically a bunch of fetch quests, but the combat is fun, and the western rock makes you feel like you're playing Firefly.

Just finished Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, and it was really excellent. I know D2 (also excellent) didn't sell so well, but I haven't heard much about DotO, so hopefully it did well enough to maintain the series. Though if this ends up being the end of the series I'd definitely say it's a worthy send-off.

I will also add Thor Ragnarok. It's definitely more comedic than the other Thors, but it works, and in fact throughout the whole movie I'd say the only gag that misses is one of the very first ones, right at the beginning. I also love that with the soundtrack, even the original parts, they completely embrace how absolutely metal everything about Thor is. And I'm not even someone who's super into metal.

Why do they insist on making phones so big? What good is it if it won't fit in your pocket? Even the 5" phones are pushing it.

I almost broke down and bought it yesterday, but decided I'll wait for the year 1 goty edition instead.

The only problem I'm having with that is when I'm possessing a stack of goombas I always think I can jump higher than I can when trying to add to my stack.

What would you say is different about the combat? Is it less counter oriented? I haven't played much Dark Souls so that comparison doesn't mean a lot to me.

They decided to give it a rest after Unity's bad reception, but by that point Syndicate was already well into development (they were on a 2-year dev cycle), so it wasn't until after Syndicate released that they actually skipped a year.

I've noticed in recent years I don't have the desire to go back and play games again anymore. As a result, I find myself holding off on any game that's going to get singleplayer dlc so I can just get the whole thing at once. I can't help but wondering if this attitude is related to the recent apparently decline in the sales of singleplayer games.
