  1. That's one I'm going to go see in theaters just to encourage Hollywood to make more movies that don't star white dudes as the hero.
  2. That's the kind of sky where I'd walk outside and be like "yep, it's tornado weather."
  3. It doesn't look like I posted it in here, but about a month ago I bought a Poweradd 20,000 mAh power bank, and I love it. It charges my phone faster than a wall charger does, and I can pull about at least 5 full charges out of it. I haven't tried really charging my Switch off it, but I did test it briefly and it was even able to charge it while I was playing.
  4. Yes. I mean it's one thing if the deathstar were orbiting that planet, or even in the same system, but in both TFA and ST2009 he makes it seem like it's supposed to be from halfway across the galaxy.
  5. Oh hell yes, that movie was great. I would have changed the ending ever so slightly (more the presentation than the actual events), but overall it was an excellent Star Wars film.
  6. I think I might actually get through that game if they'd just put VC on Switch. Like seriously Nintendo, just develop a few damn emulators and you can put rom after rom on there.
  7. I've really soured on TFA since it came out. It's still a lot better than the prequels, but that's obviously not saying much. It's just a bunch of little shit, like being able to see the deathstar fire in the sky, the same dumbass thing as in Star Trek 2009. The fact that they're bringing JJ Abrams back for IX just makes me go ugh, and turns me off from continuing with them.
  8. I know I'm late, but excellent choice.
  9. I've tried to play that game so many times and I always bounce off at the first dungeon.
  10. Switching phone companies from US Cellular to Republic Wireless, and our old phones weren't compatible, so I got a Pixel ($500 for the 128 GB model).
  11. They've already voted to become a state on multiple occasions, now it's on Congress to authorize it.
  12. This is a completely different kind of embarrassment, but after I finished Sonic Mania I discovered that there was a move, called the drop dash, that lets you immediately execute a spin dash upon landing from a jump. I played the entire game and never knew you could do that.
  13. Comparison video of the PS3 and PS4 versions of Shadow of the Colossus Obviously the graphics are way better from a technical perspective, but I think aesthetically it really loses something with the lack of fog that the original had. I hope they add it back in.
  14. Oh man, I want that so bad...
  15. Does disconnecting your network help? (I get that you shouldn't have to do that.)
  16. That would be consistent with the only label I saw with roman letters, which was "SUV", and it was on an... SUV.
  17. What kind of data is that showing? Is it basically IRL Watch Dogs?
  18. I was pretty excited for this game but now all of a sudden I'm like "Not on Switch? Then who gives a fuck?" about everything.
  19. Finished Human Resource Machine this morning. I really enjoyed the puzzles, but I feel like there weren't enough of them, so I'm having trouble deciding whether it was a good value. There were only 43 or so, and I wish there were more like 100. But then on the other hand I played it for 6.5 hours and it was only $10... Anyway, the game itself was great.
  20. Outlast and Outlast: Whistleblower are free to keep on Humble. https://www.humblebundle.com/store/outlast-deluxe?partner=rockpapershotgun
  21. Comparison of Doom on PS4 vs. Switch, based on the Nintendo Direct trailer. I'm honestly super impressed with how well it compares. It's obviously a downgrade, but not as big a one as I would have expected. The biggest thing is the downgrade from 60 fps to 30, but I've played plenty of 30 fps shooters that felt great so if they do it right it shouldn't be a problem.
  22. Finished Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle yesterday. Really excellent game, and I second Dan's recommendation for anyone who has a Switch. I especially like that hit chances are limited to 0%/50%/100%; it really enhances the planning and strategizing aspect of the game by enabling you to know for sure whether you'll hit or not most of the time, and when you take a 50% shot you know it's a crapshoot so it doesn't feel like you got screwed when you miss. I really hope they do a sequel, and judging by the reception I think that's probably likely.
