I don't know, lots of people play games, not all of them are "hardcore" gamers. If a game doesn't explain itself well enough for a less-seasoned player then while that may not be relevant to me, that doesn't mean it's not relevant to some people and worth discussing.

I got my case in today, and the glass screen protector is great, it makes the screen feel so nice to use. I really do think this will give me the best of both worlds, with the resilience of the plastic screen and the scratch resistance of a glass one. I would heartily recommend this kind of screen protector to everyone.

Just finished Ori and the Blind Forest. Holy shit that game was amazing. There were a few frustrating parts, namely the end of the first two dungeons, but they cannot detract from the amazingness that is the rest of the game. Everything just feels and plays so well, and it's the prettiest game I've ever seen. 5/5

The Switch's screen is just made of plastic, so it won't shatter if you drop it but it can be scratched fairly easily (I've heard tales of the dock scratching it). The screen protectors that come with that case are tempered glass, so they're much harder to scratch, and if they break I can just remove them. Also they came with the case, which was fairly cheap ($15) even not taking into account that it came with the screen protectors.

Finished Pyre last night, and it was amazing. The music especially was really good. I just wish there was a new game plus; I want to keep playing but I don't relish giving up all my upgrades and stuff.

I love the Culture novels so much. I want to go back and read some of the ones I read first again, now that I have a better understanding of what the Culture is and how it's set up. I was reading the Dark Tower series. I made it to the 6th one before I lost interest this time, which is better than the 4th one which is all the farther I made it the first time.

I cancelled my preorder. I actually figured out a way to play the game with a mouse and keyboard in front of my TV using a lapdesk, so I solved that problem, but then I realized that if I get it I'll probably like it but compulsively play it way more than my enjoyment would justify, so I'd rather just not let it into my life. *Edit - As far as performance goes, I was able to run it at a flawless 4k60 with everything maxed except SMAA instead of MSAA (which imo SMAA tends to get better coverage than MSAA anyway) and ambient occlusion on HDAO instead of whatever the max is called. This is on a GTX 1080, i7 6700k, and 16 GB of RAM.

Yes BUT I am ever so slightly skeptical of Odyssey (due mostly to the "real world" areas, they are very off-putting to me), so I'm going to make sure it's good before getting it.

I'm sure various people have seen me say this on Twitter already, but I'm doing my utmost to restrain myself from buying a Switch now due to the good Mario + Rabbids reviews. My self-imposed rule was that I'd get it once there are two exclusives out that I want, and so far M+R only makes one. The next one will most likely be Mario Odyssey.

Well, you guys had reassured me about playing with a controller, but I just played the beta and goddamn, I am so much deadlier with a mouse, I know I would always be dragging the team down playing with a controller, but playing on the computer monitor just is not as immersive as on the TV. I guess I could play with a controller on the TV when I'm playing solo and switch to monitor/mouse when I'm in a fireteam...

Apparently on PC they have regions just like StarCraft, so you can't play with people in the US region and Europe region at the same time. That is lame as balls.

Here's my dilemma with Destiny 2: 1. I want to play it on the TV instead of my computer screen 2. That means I will be playing with a controller (likely Steam controller if I play on PC) 3. I am worried that on PC I will be at too much of a disadvantage, even PvE (I don't really do PvP so I'm not worried there) 4. Getting it on console requires resubscribing to their premium multiplayer service, effectively doubling the cost of the game I don't know what to do

Just finished Rime. It was pretty as hell, but that's about all it really has going for it. It was fine, I don't regret having played it, but it wasn't really anything special.
