I assumed the spine-broken-in-experimental-armor thing was a reference to that dude in Hammer's test suit that we see for a second in the Senate scene in Iron Man 2, where he turns too far and it breaks his spine.

Orwell. It was okay. The ending was weird.

Whatever "these" are, they don't show up in Tapatalk.

Ah yes, I forgot about poached eggs. That is actually probably the closest thing I've had to a soft-boiled egg. Shit, so you're telling me frying my eggs in bacon grease makes them bad for me?! *Edit - Also, GOH's actually partially right, America is a big place with lots of subcultures, so when I talk about the way Americans do things it's probably best to just take that as "Americans who live between the Mississippi and the Rockies". Although in my defense I've never even seen egg cups used in American media, only ever in British media.

Americans are aware of soft-boiled eggs, we just don't eat them. Thus we still call hard-boiled eggs "hard-boiled eggs". The closest thing to a soft-boiled egg that I've eaten/seen eaten IRL is an over-easy/sunny-side-up fried egg. Also, people don't eat egg white omelettes because they think they taste good, they eat them because it's supposed to be healthier or something (I know, it's dumb). I also agree that people who remove the yolk from their hard-boiled eggs are crazy. Final note, we are not still on the "eggs are bad for you" food advice from people who know what they're talking about, but people are dumb and so they still believe food advice from like the 70's before we knew that there was more than one kind of cholesterol.

"Maybe" Ant-Man? Ant-Man is the worst of those movies you listed (other than maybe Thor). Anyway, I came in here to say that imo Spider-Man is easily the best MCU movie since Winter Soldier (Edit: which looking at my rankings I guess that makes it the best debut). New ranking: -S Rank- Avengers Captain America: Winter Soldier Spider-Man: Homecoming -A Rank- Captain America Captain America: Civil War Guardians of the Galaxy Thor: Dark World -B Rank- Avengers: Age of Ultron Doctor Strange Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Iron Man -C Rank- Ant-Man Iron Man 2 Iron Man 3 Thor -D Rank- Incredible Hulk

I'll second Spiderman being great. It's the best MCU film at least since Winter Soldier.

I noticed that too, and thought it was weird.

Finished and then platinumed Horizon: Zero Dawn. Excellent, excellent game. Right now it's looking good for GOTY. The thing I find most impressive is that I played it for 57 hours and never felt like it had me doing busywork, or that quests were added just to pad out the game, or anything. I can't remember a single fetch quest (though I do have a vague feeling that once or twice characters asked me for stuff I already had in my inventory...). And as far as the lore goes, not only is the world itself very cool, but the explanation for how and why it got to be the way it is is very cool, and a neat twist on what you would expect. I also really like how they handled Aloy as a female main character, in that she is just the main character and female and there's not really anything made of it. There are a couple of passing references to institutional sexism in some of the tribes, but it's not a main focus at all, and it's never really directed at Aloy herself. She just is, and it's great. Overall, I am sad that the game is over, and quite looking forward to the expansion this fall. Very minor spoiler unrelated to the main story:

imo the combat encounter design is actively bad, and the only reason the games reache "mediocre" status is because the rest of the stuff is so great. Again, this is without playing 4, which for all I know solved all my problems with the series and is a glorious masterpiece of game design. But I doubt it.

I will make comment once I finish.

Shadow of Mordor is $4 on Steam right now for the GOTY, and they're adding an update that will let you import your strongest nemeses and allies into Shadow of War.

Shadow of Mordor is $4 on Steam. I'm tempted even though I know I'd probably never play it again. *Edit - Apparently they're also adding an update called Nemesis Forge to let you import your worst Nemeses and strongest allies into Shadow of War. So that settles it, buying this again now.

I think I'm approaching the end.

Banned for wanting to play your favorite game in the series? [emoji44]
-
Okay, now I want to play FF9. Is there a remastered version?
-
Breath of the Wild, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Persona 5, basically for the reasons already stated. Zelda's world was just such a joy to inhabit; Horizon is a joy to play, has an interesting world to explore, and last but not least Robot Fucking Dinosaurs; Persona 5 is still a Japanese high school life sim, and just plays so nicely.

Do you mean Americans didn't understand the British car terminology, or were actually less knowledgeable about cars?

How do mods work with TTS? I checked and the Firefly game has a mod but I don't think it has dlc, so like is it the honor system, you're just only supposed to use the mod if you own the game? Also, after Star Trek Bridge Crew this is the thing I most want a VR headset for.
-
Do I have to buy TTS in order to play games with you guys?

The two skill trees in Syndicate are slightly different, but it mainly boils down to fighting style IIRC. As far as what I'm playing, I'm still working my way through Horizon: Zero Dawn. It is excellent and I'm looking forward to the expansion.
