  1. Yeah, that date in itself is a delay.
  2. The open world stuff like the courier missions and collectibles are super ignore-able if you want, they have no story content whatsoever, just give XP.
  3. Well I say that but then this: https://twitter.com/MDKII/status/739947630059458560
  4. I mean, fundamentally the parkour is the same (and to me it actually feels slightly better once you unlock the dive roll and coil, which can be really fast), and it just feels so good. I didn't experience the level design getting old, but I only had 6 hours with it. The combat feels good when you actually get into flow, but once you're out it's hard to get back in. The open world stuff (like the towers and collectibles) is a minor annoyance but overall doesn't really detract from the sheer joy of the free running. tl;dr: If you liked the first one you'll probably like this one, but if you didn't it probably won't convert you.
  5. Yeah, the app automatically shrunk it.
  6. "It's not for girls" was the slogan when I got them.
  7. When I was in college we had an entire store dedicated to British import food. The name escapes me right now. I did love Yorkies though.
  8. Did I see Captain Phasma in that first shot that shows the bad guys?
  9. If you think that's a mess you need to come see the rat's nest behind/below my computer...
  10. Surface Pro 4! I'm kidding, that's almost certainly beyond your price range, though they are sexy as hell. But yeah, what dean said, any midrange laptop from a good manufacturer should do you well. I've always had good experiences with Dell, although it's been a number of years since I've bought one. I've also heard good things about Lenovo. You might try looking at Amazon and Newegg just to see if there are certain brands that are consistently rated well.
  11. And now my time with the trial is up, and I can't play any more until Tuesday. Yeah, ideally I'd like to be able to get at least 1TB for <~ $150, and currently they're ~$200. I just pared down the number of games I have installed and I still have 550GB of them, and games aren't getting any smaller.
  12. Mirror's Edge: Catalyst. I went ahead and got a month of Origin Access because I was becoming a little worried that my CPU was going to be an issue in this game (I'm below recommended), and if it was I wanted to know so I could go ahead and order a replacement. Turns out I needn't have worried, my computer runs it wonderfully at 1080p60 (sadly I can't downsample from 4k), with the only drops due to loading as I move through the world. I could probably fix that with an SSD, which really I should get at some point anyway, but it's not intrusive enough to justify it right now.
  13. I'm getting ready to try out Far Cry 3. I got it years ago, but never really gave it a fair shot because it was the first (last gen) game that I really ran into trouble with my old graphics card and it frustrated me that I couldn't make it run smoothly while still being pretty. Fast forward to now, my new GTX 1080, and I'm going to play that game maxed out while downsampling from 4k at 60 fps.
  14. Just finished my first legacy game of Pandemic Legacy! We ended up losing, and now Chicago, Montreal, and New York are in riots, with Atlanta, Washington, Tokyo, Seoul, and Buenos Aires unstable. At the end of the game we got to choose two upgrades, so we added a new starting research center and have the scientist the ability to hold an extra card in their hand. It seriously stresses my wife out that permanent changes have been made to the game, but I love it. I'm excited to try January again.
  15. Hmm, you're right. Appears I may have jumped the gun in selling the base game... Oh well, if any DLC I want to play comes out I'll either buy it again later when it's cheaper or rent it.
  16. Is there going to be more DLC? I thought Far Harbor was the last?
  17. Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty. I played for 45 minutes, finished the first level/chapter/whatever, and it just was not doing it for me. I honestly have no idea what people see in this game. The controls are terrible, and even if they were good the game is just not engaging.
  18. Just finished Far Harbor. Overall it was a good expansion, though it ends kind of abruptly.
  19. I'm going to take so many Ansel screenshots of Mirror's Edge and Dishonored. And Deus Ex. *Edit - And probably No Man's Sky too.
