  1. https://www.isidewith.com/voter-guide You can pick your state there, and then take the quiz and it will tell you who you agree with and how much you agree with them. It's still got the 2014 election information in there right now, but as we get closer and primary season ends it should switch over to the 2016 election... Although I've just realized you probably are talking about primary voting anyway.
  2. It's $100 more than the MSRP, but according to my research it also has a better cooler on it than the MSRP cards are likely to have. There will be custom cards as good as or better than the Founders Edition, but they're likely to also cost more.
  3. Made the right choice between 1080 and 1070, or made the right choice by coming back to the master race in general?
  4. Oh, and consequently I've also switched my Mirror's Edge and Dishonored 2 preorders over to PC.
  5. It takes like 2 hours to play through, so it's not like there's a big time investment.
  6. There's currently a big flash sale on the Playstation store, lots of stuff on sale and all of it's for under $5. I have no idea if it's multi-regional or not. Highlights: Murdered: Soul Suspect Thief Killzone: Shadowfall
  7. Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments. Really great game. There were 6 cases in all, and of the 6 there was only one where I felt like it required too much guessing, and only one where I felt like it led you around by the nose too much. Considering how hard mysteries are to do well I figure 4/6 is pretty good. I'm now really interested in the coming sequel, The Devil's Daughter.
  8. I had thought maybe the rocks were already there but weren't physics-enabled until disturbed. Similar to how in TES or Fallout sometimes when you pick up an item it causes all the items around to jump or settle because suddenly they have physics whereas before they were fixed.
  9. Okay, so looking into it, the way it works isn't quite as impressive as it looks, but it's still damned impressive. Basically rather than there being rocks already on the hill that start sliding when disturbed, whenever there's a disturbance the hill spawns a bunch of rocks that previously didn't exist, and those are what slide down the hill (I think the first 2-3 rocks were already there, but the rest are spawned as needed). They use the motion blur and the dust effects to cover up the spawning. Still looks amazing though.
  10. http://support.xbox.com/en-US/my-account/manage-gamertag-and-profile/xbox-gamertag-release-faq Turns out you only get a free change if your gamertag was chosen automatically when you signed up (meaning you didn't choose it yourself). If you got to choose it yourself then you have to pay to change it. I'm not sure under what circumstances you wouldn't have gotten to choose for yourself though.
  11. Anybody can change their name, what they're "releasing" are old tags that aren't being used anymore, so new people can claim them.
  12. Exclusively for the Vita, it's The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim: Suck Edition!
  13. Twitter's down, so I'm caught in a loop about wanting to post about it on Twitter, and then wanting to post about that thought on Twitter, and so on...

Have you considered Facebooking about it?

  14. Well as far as Templars winning, the games tell a history of a back and forth between each side, with sometimes Templars being ascendant until a new great Assassin comes along and takes them out and rebuilds the Brotherhood. So I've always just taken it as we're in a time of Templar ascendency right now, but not that it's necessarily permanent.
  15. I'm playing Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments, which I got for free from Games with Gold. It's really quite good, despite the obviously low budget, I really feel like I'm actually solving a mystery. I can't help but think that LA Noire could have benefited from some of the ways this game handles investigations.
  16. I liked TDW because of these Loki stuff, so obviously YMMV.
  17. I had samples of crocodile and kangaroo jerky at the fair last year, and the kangaroo was indistinguishable from beef jerky, and the crocodile was nearly so. Though I imagine the process of salting and drying the meat probably does more to homogenize them than making patties would.
  18. Two other awesome things from that article: the empty parts of the map will have "here be dragons" type illustrations, and units will be customized for each individual civ even beyond unique units. Like every civ's pikemen will look slightly different to reflect that civ's cultural designs, and also skin tones will be different. I am so excited.
  19. I've been getting them up there on my Windows PC a few times in recent days.
  20. New ranking: 1. Either Winter Soldier or Avengers 2. See 1. 3. Captain America 4. Thor: Dark World 5. Civil War 6. Guardians of the Galaxy 7. Age of Ultron 8. Iron Man 9. Thor 10. Iron Man 3 11. Ant-Man 12. Iron Man 2 13. Hulk The first two are solid, 3-6 I'm iffy on the order but confident they'd be ahead of the rest, same with 7-8, and same with 9-12. Maybe tiers would be a better division... -Tier 1- Avengers Winter Soldier -Tier 2- Captain America Thor: Dark World Guardians of the Galaxy Civil War -Tier 3- Iron Man Age of Ultron -Tier 4- Iron Man 2 Thor Iron Man 3 Ant-Man -Tier Suck- Hulk
  21. So I finally put my finger on what I didn't like about Civil War (which is not to say I didn't like it):
  22. @Dean: Awesome, thanks! I would have tried it myself but I only have a 470 so I can't even pretend that I could maybe play some crappy VR games. I'm planning to get a 1070 in 2-3 months so at that point I'll definitely give it a shot.
