  1. Vita remote play has too much latency for my tastes, at least for any game that's even remotely action oriented. It's fine if that's all that's available, but the Wii U's works so much better. You're right though, the screen is pretty bad.
  2. The one thing I'll say for the Wii U is that offscreen play can come in damn handy. If it hadn't been so underpowered and had actually gotten multiplats it probably would have been my main console this gen for that reason alone.
  3. Hmm, this post was sitting on my work computer when I got back this morning, guess it's been sitting there all weekend: I've instituted a 2-out-1-in rule for my backlog, and replaying an old game counts as the "1 in" (I just replayed Dishonored, but I'm still wanting to hit the DLC, plus DXHR, plus Skyward Sword). I'm tackling all the PC games I've built up since I was holding off until I got a new graphics card. First up on the list is Dragon Commander. I'm only about an hour into it, but so far so awesome. I was expecting it to be focused more around the battles, but really it seems like the political stuff in the ship is going to be the main hook for me. It was a pleasant surprise though. I'll have more thoughts once I've spent more time on it. I think once I finish this one I'm going to tackle Shadowrun Returns. -End Original Post- I actually finished Dragon Commander over the weekend and started Shadowrun Returns. Dragon Commander I talked a little bit about in the Games You've Beat thread. Shadowrun is starting off nicely too, although so far I've spent about as much time in the character creator as I have actually playing.
  4. I said from the day I bought a Wii U that I'll be happy as long as I get a Zelda out of it and a sequel to the SM64/Sunshine/Galaxy line of Mario games. Well I haven't gotten the Mario game, and while I am getting a Zelda it's also on the NX which means I could have skipped the Wii U entirely. At the time I felt like I was setting the bar pretty low, and Nintendo still didn't manage to make it.
  5. Well obviously. I'm just saying that pretty much no matter what it is I'm not buying it anytime soon after launch.
  6. Yeah, there's a good chance I won't ever get one either.
  7. cbz is definitely the best format. It really is just a zip full of jpegs. I also use Perfect Viewer on Android, no idea about iOS.
  8. Nintendo's insane if they think I'm buying another console of theirs anywhere near launch. They completely left me hanging with the WiiU, so they can take the NX and shove it up their collective ass.
  9. Just finished Divinity: Dragon Commander. It was neat, got me interested in the world. Maybe I'll have to try out Original Sin at some point...
  10. Yeah, that was the one thing that made me hesitate.
  11. I was mostly wanting the alternative boss options. And because you said that I looked up some comparison videos, and yeah in a lot of ways I like the original better in terms of appearance, but it's all the kind of stuff I'd only notice seeing it side-by-side.
  12. It's $5 on Ubi's store right now (activates on Steam) and since I was already planning to replay it before MD comes out I figured might as well get the enhanced version.
  13. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_Congress_members_killed_or_wounded_in_office Since you had said it was the last MP I was looking at our equivalent, which would be members of Congress. Had I scrolled down all the way to the "wounded" list, rather than just looking at the "killed", I would have seen Gabby on there too. Also, even under my criteria Bobby Kennedy wasn't strictly the last one, Leo Ryan was assassinated in 1978, but it was in Guyana, not a domestic assassination, so I felt like it was a little different (though now that I look into it more it was by a cult led by an American and comprised at least in part by Americans, so maybe not so different).
  14. Hey, for once you guys are getting a deal we aren't. I went ahead and preordered a few games that are coming out after my Prime subscription expires, so I could lock down the Prime 20% off preorders discount: Persona 5 Horizon: Zero Dawn The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and then just for good measure, even though my Prime won't have expired, The Last Guardian I never thought I'd say this but I'm actually a little iffy on TLG. I may well cancel it before release.
  15. Okay, I actually remembered that, but I had thought she died, so when she wasn't on the list I assumed I was wrong about her being in the US Congress and that she must have been a state congresswoman.
  16. I checked, and was surprised to learn that the last time a sitting US congressperson was assassinated was Bobby Kennedy in 1968.
  17. I wish I had an automatic mower. You don't think the vanguard will be military drones? [emoji14]
  18. Hey, don't shatter my own wishful thinking!
  19. And quintuple post! Hunting and Gathering: I haven't had a chance to watch all these yet.
  20. Apparently you can only link so many videos in one post. So QUADRUPLE POST! The "NES Connection": Beyond the Plateau: Hunting and Gathering: I haven't watched all of them yet. The "NES Connection": Beyond the Plateau:
  21. MOAR VIDEOS! Combat: Shrines (part 1 is in my previous post): Amiibo:
  22. It's basically a vending machine for renting movies and games, with an app to let you reserve them from your phone. And you can return them to any kiosk, doesn't have to be the one you rented from.
  23. Polls are saying leave, but the "predictive markets" ( [emoji14] ) are saying 60/40 in favor of stay.
  24. Yeah, but it costs 2.5-3x as much. I don't see how Redbox seems like a hassle, just use a kiosk that's in a convenient location for you.
  25. Apparently Link is now officially right-handed. 0/10
