It's basically a vending machine for renting movies and games, with an app to let you reserve them from your phone. And you can return them to any kiosk, doesn't have to be the one you rented from.

Yeah, but it costs 2.5-3x as much. I don't see how Redbox seems like a hassle, just use a kiosk that's in a convenient location for you.

It didn't seem too empty to me, but that aside I'm guessing at least part of it is that they're trying to keep all hints at the story hidden.

At first I was mostly joking, but I honestly am having trouble getting past how dumb it is that he isn't wearing a shirt. It makes it impossible for me to take it seriously, which based on the stuff with the kid it clearly wants to be taken seriously.

Yeah, my thought watching that demo was that it looked extremely un-fun. It was basically get knocked down over and over and over.
