Our electricity cost is based on usage and fluctuates wildly from ~$2/day in January up to ~$6.70 per day in July/August when we're having to run the AC a lot (because of times like last week when the highs were over 100 F). Though this year has been cooler than most so we've been doing pretty well overall, last week aside. It's also been raining a lot more though, resulting in higher humidity, so it's not actually more pleasant, just the AC doesn't have to run as much. *Edit - Wait, so is it just that Dean and GOH live in weird places, or is it considered a luxury in most places to have a washer and dryer? Because here I'd be shocked if there's not one in nearly every house, right down to the run-down crack shacks that rent for $200/month.

We just want to avoid the electricity usage.
-
We haven't used our dryer in about a year and a half at this point, other than 1 or 2 times the sheets for the bed haven't been totally dry by bedtime.

Man, the price is bad in the US, but it's just unbelievably laughable in the UK.
-
Yeah, that series definitely takes a serious downturn after The Golden Compass.
-
The Lego Movie. Weird as shit, but quite enjoyable.

Huh, yeah, you're right, all the news about not being able to upgrade specifically mentions Legendary gear. So right now Exotics may or may not be upgradeable. Interesting. I have enough exotics though (when I got the Elder Cipher I couldn't even pick which weapon I wanted for a while, because none of them really appealed to me). I've got Invective, and see no reason to replace that with Lord of Wolves, and similarly see no reason to replace Patience and Time with Queenbreaker's Bow.

The Legend of Korra game is $6 on PS4 right now. Those of you who've played it, do you recommend it for that price?
-
Nobody "liked" my post where I got all the triumphs, or congratulated me. Anyway, whining aside, as I posted above I'm done playing until the Taken King comes out. Since you're not going to be able to upgrade year-one weapons anyway I don't feel like putting a whole lot of time into continuing to do PoE for my Elder Ciphers or Etheric Light (I already have 3 34s, it would just be to get a more balanced stat build, and all my current weapons are ascended so I've got plenty of 365 weapons).

That is pretty neat. I wonder if the boxes they were pushing up those inclines actually had anything in them? And as I was typing that I go to the part where where they were pushing a person in a wheelchair up an incline, so obviously it can handle some more weight. Where I'm imagining that would be especially useful is for older people who have trouble walking and live in the city.

Okay, I'm on the 4th planet, but you haven't been showing up on the boards since the third planet so I assumed I'd passed you. Weird.
-
Okay, I've passed the ones you've done, so you need to get back on that shit, it's more fun when I have someone I'm competing with.
-
The trailer looked promising enough that I went from "it'd be nice if that doesn't suck" to "I'm keeping my eye on this".
-
It might also be an ill-advised strategy to just show the one area so they can keep the rest a surprise.
-
Well that's sad.

Just saw on the Bethesda twitter account: Cool that it doesn't stop after the main story. Weird that you can level forever though.
-
How do you use virtual desktops? (I'm sure I could figure it out if I tried, but I haven't tried yet.)
-
I don't think it will reset everyone back to 20. I can't remember where, but I read somewhere a person talking about how they were able to play the Taken King on their own level 34 character and it slotted right in to the new content without disruption.

Yeah, that video pretty much says what I've always thought: CG is great, it's just not great for everything, and the best effects usually come from blending practical effects with CG to play to the strengths of both.

The south-east is Vice City.

For me it's that everyone's talking about things, and I want to be able to participate in the conversation. So FOMO more about being able to participate than the game/movie/whatever itself. Although there is a little bit of "everyone else likes this, what am I not seeing in it?"

The games you get for bearing the average must not be enticing enough.

I've picked Spacechem back up after FLD mentioned it, been going through trying to beat his scores before tackling the remaining planets.

Yeah, the runways aren't exactly the same length, but they're pretty close.
