Removing Kinect has given developers 10% more GPU power to work with. That should put a little bit of a dent in Resolutiongate, though my understanding is it's still not enough to equal the PS4.

My money says that's the PC version on highest settings, possibly even downsampled from 4k or something ridiculous.

Well I just got Mario Kart 64 with some of my coins, but it's useless because you can't play it without a Wii Classic Controller, which I don't have. That's stupid, there's no reason it shouldn't be playable with a Wiimote + nunchuck.

Do we think moving to VPS would help with the slow site? If so, I'd be all for it, but I also don't want to pressure you into more expensive hosting since you often end up covering it out of your own pocket (not that you should, you should let us know when we're running low ).

I thought the same thing when Atlus said they weren't planning to bring Catherine to the US, three weeks before they announced Catherine was coming to the US in two months. It actually made me consider not buying the game, just cause it irritated me so much (I have a thing about people lying). FFS, just say "We don't comment on rumors or speculation." and leave it at that. It's just a culture difference, Japanese culture doesn't frown upon lies in the same way that Western culture does. Which is not to say Western companies don't try to deceive people, they just don't tell bald-faced lies straight to your face as frequently, especially about trivial things like whether they're going to release something.

It's this ancient format for storing hard copies of music (i no rite?). It worked basically like a single-layer DVD, but could only hold about 1/7 as much data.

My family's first DVD was like the Patriot or some shit. I think my own personal first DVD was Spider-Man, but am not sure of that. I know that our first CD was the Lion King soundtrack. It was also the first CD of like everyone else I know, apparently it was popular or something.

You know, it says something about the randomization in this game that this is the first time I've seen something like this.

My understanding from what Ubi has said is that it has something to do with the way textures are streamed from system ram to graphics ram. On the consoles it's all one pool of ram so it doesn't need to move it, but on PC it has to move it to the graphics card and that's what's slowing it down. Essentially they didn't optimize properly for the different memory arrangement when they ported it.
