Ah, no, it had just been long enough since I'd seen the movie that I'd forgotten about that. Actually, while writing that comment I was thinking "maybe they explained this in the first movie and I'm about to sound like an idiot..." so there you go.

Looks neat. Though the idea that the few hundred apes from the beginning of Rise could establish a society that couldn't just be defeated by the SFPD, let alone end up overthrowing the several billion human global population, kills suspension of disbelief for me.

I don't think that's 1.70, because I've been getting those errors ever since launch. Not all the time, but probably 1/4 of the time.

I think even saying it's more of Arkham City is giving it a little bit more credit than it deserves. Superficially yeah, but everything about it just feels slightly off, from the encounters to the level design to the combat to the bosses. Cold, Cold Heart was a lot better though.

That's one problem with prequels: they tend to try to tie all the characters in in stupid ways.

Yeah, that info dump was underwhelming. The real info is supposed to come with E3 and the beta (which incidentally was announced for July today). And it's not really fair to compare the first Advanced Warfare trailer to this, a better comparison would be the original Destiny reveal.

As has been pointed out in other articles, that number likely contains money set aside for the infrastructure of their 10-year online plan for the universe, which will also encompass at least two more Destiny games (though I doubt it contains the development costs of those games). They're betting $500 million on the Destiny franchise, not this one game.

The trailer for Advanced Warfare got me in the mood to play CoD, so I played through Black Ops 2, the next one in the series that I hadn't played yet. I'll probably rent Ghosts at some point in the semi-near future.

Well think the Rayman Origins sprites (minus the high quality animations, just the look of the characters themselves): each character doesn't have very much detail, but they still look really nice because the image files are high resolution. I'd link to some more examples, but I'm on my phone.

You're right, detail of the drawings isn't what I meant, I meant resolution of the sprites. A hand-drawn sprite can have very little detail but still look nice at high resolution.
