Yeah, the only reason I did it was because I knew I was going to be getting one in the spring anyway for Destiny, and I figured the price wouldn't come down between now and then so I might as well get it now and be able to play stuff like AC4 via remote play in the meantime. Oops, I mean RAH! GET IT NOW!

Okay, this is pretty badass: takes it 13 seconds to go from you saying "Xbox on" to being at a usable dashboard. http://instagram.com/p/gq0f97RYTR/ The voice commands don't interest me, but the fact that it boots so fast is nice. *Edit* - Though that's from standby, not a full cold boot.

I think the coolest part about that is the 3D table display thing, rather than the hand tracking. That table makes me think of the awesome tactical displays you see in sci fi movies where they've got a 3D map of a battlefield or whatever that they can move around like a screen.

It's not something I'd do right away, but at some point if the thing's frozen you've got to turn it off. It's not like you can just leave it there forever waiting for it to maybe eventually do something. *Edit* - Also, unless you were updating firmware at the time it shouldn't brick the console, the worst it should do is corrupt that data you were trying to install. The fact that it did brick the console is worrisome.

So I'm playing Arkham City again right now, and even though in terms of actual area it's smaller than Origins it feels a hell of a lot bigger. Like, 2-3 times as big. I haven't decided if that's because of the lack of fast travel or if it's something else, but goddamn.

Like this awesome cornbread recipe I discovered: instead of 1 tablespoon of sugar, like the recipe calls for, you put in 1/3 of a cup.

There's a PS4 section on the web store, and while right now it only has trailers I'm sure they'll add games at some point in the not-too-distant future.

The complaints I'm hearing aren't necessarily that the gameplay is bad, just that there's absolutely no depth to it, everything is so samey the whole way through. There's a lot of promise that it doesn't live up to.

And yeah, listed Knack for sale. If it sells for what I listed it for then I essentially got Killzone for like $20, which isn't bad. *Edit* - Wait, fuck that, it's still factory sealed, I'll just return it to Walmart for store credit toward the PS4, and get Killzone free.

I bought Killzone and Knack with that Buy 1 Get 1 Amazon code, and I was already considering selling Killzone and essentially getting Knack for a ridiculous discount, but now I'm considering the opposite. Or maybe I'll sell them both for $45 and profit.

Yeah, I might upgrade it in a few years, but 400 gigs should be fine for now.
