  1. Okay, that's cool as shit. When I have some time I'll go tag threads that are missing them. If there's a multiplatform game, say Watch Dogs, should we tag the thread with all systems that the game's on? What kind of guidelines do we want for that kind of thing?
  2. We don't even have live TV, only an HTPC and consoles. And the point isn't having a second display, because I've got my 360 hooked to my second monitor right now (that's where I plan on sticking the PS4 when I get it), it's the ability to be out in the living room while we both want to do things that use the TV. Part of the point is so we're not both constantly closed off in our own little media worlds. I can play something on the Vita/WiiU Tablet while she plays something on the screen, or she can cross stitch with the TV on while I'm playing something, and we can still talk and stuff.
  3. Shockingly, I have not actually had a problem with Ubisoft's PC ports in the last few years.
  4. I already own a Vita, so that doesn't factor into the cost. Also, I'm not going to downgrade my GPU when the one I have is already getting close to the limits on modern multiplat games. To get a graphics card that's at least comparable to my current one (a 470) but that can also stream to Shield I'd have to get a 660, which is ~$200. And given that current gen games are stressing my card I imagine next gen games are going to quickly outstrip its abilities, which means to keep pace and play the next gen games I'd actually have to spend even more on a card. Plus there's the whole not-all-games-are-supported thing. Even putting all of that aside, paying $200 for a card that's just comparable to the one I already have doesn't sit well with me. I will surely upgrade my graphics card at some point, but now is not that point.
  5. My GFX card doesn't support Shield streaming, and a new card + shield is a hell of a lot more than a PS4. *Edit* - Plus Shield only supports streaming for games that are built for it, whereas PS4 has streaming at a system level. *Edit 2* - Actually, the minimum graphics cards that support shield + shield is quite comparable to a PS4, but there's still the only-supporting-certain-games thing. *Edit 3* - Though even MORE actually, getting the minimum that supports streaming (a 650) would be downgrade in terms of actual computational ability, and getting one that's actually significantly better than my current card that also supports streaming would again be more than a PS4.
  6. I'm anticipating my computer should be able to run them fine, but they're still not inferior because Remote Play.
  7. One time my mower died because of too much grass building up underneath, so I lifted it to get some of that out. I turned off the mower, I'm not that dumb, but in the process of lifting it I grabbed it right on the muffler. I had blisters spelling "HOT" backward right across my palm.
  8. PS3 remote play already allows this, you can play across the internet (for the games that support remote play at all), but good luck getting a connection with low enough latency to actually make it playable.
  9. I'm confused how it's going to work with the touch inputs many games require. Though if it's really $100 I could totally see myself getting this. Though I'd prefer they did Vita-to-PS4 crossplay so I didn't have to buy more hardware. *Edit* - Either way, Gravity Rush on the TV? Yes please. *Edit 2* - Just saw that it only outputs up to 720p/1080i. What is this, 2008? I get that it's a cheap ass micro console thing, and I definitely don't expect the games to be rendered at that high res, but seriously.
  10. Fuckin burns are the worst thing ever, and I'm pretty sure I've never had one worse than 2nd-degree.
  11. Ah, that makes sense. The commercial didn't do a good job of representing that, since it looked like the PS4 and Vita TV were in the same room, leaving me going "why not just take out the middle man?"
  12. And also preordered these just now from Amazon:
  13. I'm sure I'll get one eventually, just probably not next year.
  14. I don't understand what that remote play PS4 was supposed to be doing. Why wouldn't you just connect the PS4 directly to the TV?
  15. Ah, yeah, that makes sense. There are definitely times when I'll turn to my PC or phone during unskippable cutscenes.
  16. Preordered at the local Walmart. I'm kind of skeptical that they'll actually have one for me on launch, but I guess we'll see.
  17. I'm sure it will be, like on 360 how if you hit the guide button most games will pause but some will keep going. Why would you want it to continue though? Other than to show off that the hardware can do it?
  18. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4b29jUoqHu4 Interface leak. Kind of crappy that when you go back to the dashboard it doesn't pause the game. We need MORE cutscene pausing, not less.
  19. PS3 version. Fucking love it, one of the greatest games of all time. Possibly my favorite. Also, playing it remote play over Vita is what really sold me on the PS4.
  20. It's quite possible Shadow of the Colossus is my favorite game of all time.

    1. Mal

This homie knows whats up. With that said, I still need to get the Ico/SotC collection.

    2. TCP

      TCP

Played the shit out of Ico when the collection launched, still haven't played through SotC.

Sad fact: when that collection was released, it was to prepare for Last Guardian about 6 months later. :-/

  21. And 24 hours later I've cemented myself firmly into "get a PS4 as soon as I can get my hands one one". We'll see if that's still true in two months.
  22. I dunno, it's really slow and not a lot happens. I could totally see somebody who doesn't like westerns being bored to tears.
  23. Once Upon a Time in the West. But then I love Westerns.
  24. I never saw the first one, but the one with the fight club guy (Edward Norton?) was pretty good. Hell, even three lowest one on my list, iron man 2, was decent.
