  1. Viva Pinata. It was received fairly well by critics and by those who actually played it, but I feel like so few people have tried it because it looks like just some dumb kids game.

I'm confused as to what that tumblrinaction subreddit was supposed to show.
  3. I am rapidly spiraling in to sidequest hell. This is not a bad thing. #DragonAge2

just wait until the cave where you found the slavers that supposedly have been using that cave for ages is the same one where the mages have been gathering for many years too. Reusable caves ftw.

Yeah, I haven't gotten far enough that reused environments are getting old. So far I'm pretty much just been in the city, which makes sense that multiple things would happen in the same parts of the city.

Kirkwall also has a very strict set of architectural covenants, and a nasty HOA, which is why the mansions all have the same floor plan.

  4. Nazis were known for quietly and calmly expressing their opinions while reiterating the right of others to completely ignore those opinions, that is true.
  5. Some games justify the $60 price point. Most do not.
  6. Oh yeah, it totally does. I'm just saying that a guest post on pastebin could be literally anyone, so we have no idea whether it's true or not except whether it seems true. Thruthiness.
  7. Yeah, until this my understanding was just that it requires them to be resellable, but a bunch of people have said this is related to those rules and I don't know enough about them to know whether that's true or not.
  8. Pastebin, so I'm taking it bathed in salt, but if that's true about the family sharing then I'm much less distraught about its loss.
  9. Not to mention that if this is in response to the EU rules then the publishers may not have a choice.
  10. Rebooting Batman makes sense, because Nolan's trilogy wouldn't have worked well in a Justice League shared universe.
  11. Consumers, no, but investors might.
  12. Oh, shit, missed that sentence. Well that sucks, that was a cool feature.
  13. Oh, also, regarding the class-action thing: it remains to be seen whether those no-class-action-lawsuit provisions in ToUs will be enforced by the courts. I would expect they won't be, because it would be a giant subversion of the legal system, but the courts often do things I find inexplicable, so who knows.
  14. Are they doing away with digital sharing though? The press release doesn't say one way or the other. It says that for disc-based games you'll have to have the disc in the tray to play them, but it also says that all retail games will be available digitally at launch and that you can play any of your downloaded games on any Xbox console. It's unclear at best, but it leaves open the possibility that the sharing will still be available for digital purchases, just not disc-based purchases.
  15. I never bother with memtest anymore because on two separate occasions I've had RAM that I /know/ was bad (later verified it in other ways), but memtest never found a problem either time.
  16. An online connection being required for the person receiving the game loan is fine with me (at least if it will tolerate short lapses of connection). It's certainly better than not being able to loan them at all.
  17. Rumors have it that Microsoft is getting ready to pull a complete 180 on its online policies.
  18. The tilt-shift effect is quite convincing as well, to really make it look like filming miniatures.
  19. I'm debating between spending this weekend to try to finish DA2 or renting The Last of Us.

Might as well finish what you started. And you'll be more likely to find a copy of the last of us the longer you wait.

Yeah, I'm just getting sucked in by all these people talking about TLoU.

It'll die out soon. I beat Bioshock Infinite slower than most people. Just stay out of the threads.

  20. You register Game X to your account, put it in your game share. People who are registered as your XBL family members can play any game in your share, including Game X. You can play Game X whenever you want, even if someone is already using the share. Any one family member can play Game X at any given time, whether you are playing or not. Multiple family members cannot play Game X at the same time, whether you are playing or not. The only thing that I'm unclear about is whether one family member can play Game X at the same time another is playing Game Y, or if it's only one family member at a time using any part of your game share.
  21. They want to make a Lego movie because that's what they want to do. And they use CGI because it's easier than actually using Legos. It seems pretty straightforward to me. Why does anything ever use any aesthetic? Because that's what the makers want to use. And I haven't watch South Park in years, so maybe you're right that it doesn't look like construction paper anymore.
  22. Yeah, that was my point with the South Park thing: you could just as easily ask "if you're using computers anyway why make it look like construction paper?" That question would actually be more reasonable because it's not like South Park is specifically made to be based on some construction paper brand.
  23. lol, no, that's why I wrote "hurb" instead of "herb".
  24. We need to start a Comment of the Month award, so this can win.
