If you'd said Destiny you'd have had a point, but as is the only next-gen game you listed that I'm interested in is The Order. Second Son is a "I'll get it used or on PS+ at some point when I eventually get a PS4"

Tenshi, those are all new assets, not just the original ones uprezzed like most HD re-releases. This is more akin to Halo: Anniversary. I so hope this is true. It would be awesome on its own, but would also help it not be perceived as just another HD re-release.

Whatever the restrictions are it's better than the current status quo of digital purchases being only playable by the owner account and other accounts on the same device. Another improvement they announced over the current Gold setup is that your friends who are on Silver will be able to play online with you with their own account (provided you're on the same console), whereas right now they can only play online as a non-owned "Guest" account.

See, the way they've been using "the shared copy" though, along with what they've said on their official FAQ, to me indicates they're talking about the people you're sharing with, not the actual owner. So if own Halo 5 and you're sharing it with your brother and your sister and your brother is playing the shared copy then your sister can't also start playing the shared copy until your brother stops, but you could start playing your copy without him stopping. I think at the moment though it's probably like Thursday said, where MS themselves don't know how exactly it's going to work so they're not giving clear answers.

My reaction was "meh, another zombie shooter." Granted the cartoony aesthetic is refreshing.

Yeah, the ability to share the digital purchases is cool. I hope that catches on with other platforms.

Granted I just skimmed that article, so it might contradict me, but the impression I'd been getting from previous statements was that any one of your family members (as in, only one at a time) can play any game on your share, even if it's the game you are currently playing. I hadn't seen anything about that being limited to games you aren't currently playing.

Looks like it. That's how the 360 does it, and I can't imagine Sony making you plug it directly into the console. I have a question about Plus: If you let your subscription lapse I know you lose access to the free games, but if you then re-up to you regain access to previously downloaded free games? Or do you basically start over and only have access to the ones that are free from then on out?

Just played the first chapter of Transformers: War for Cybertron, and I'm not getting what's so great about it. It just seems like a second-rate TPS to me.

IMO Halo 1 (or Halo: Anniversary) has the best art style. I'm sick of gritty. The only caveat I have there is that in Anniversary they made the Forerunner stuff way too busy. I did like the look of the Forerunner stuff in Halo 4, it was really just the Covenant races and human vehicles that bothered me (even the weapons I got used to pretty quickly.

Emphasis added. I totally agree with this. I wish they hadn't felt the need to redesign the look of the Covenant and the human vehicles and weapons. Everything else I thought worked great, but the weird-looking Covenant and Pelicans and Warthogs and guns were quite off-putting.

Umm, that's an inherent problem to online shooters, not Xbone specific. Try playing CoD on PS4 when PSN is down.

I actually thought Xbone looked significantly better after MS's presser than it did after the reveal (except the price was too high), but then Sony's presser blew it out of the fucking water.

Yes. I was skeptical about Halo 4 for just that reason, but it won me over.

I'm gratified that with the exception of Destiny there's nothing I really really want that's not coming to PC.

Revelations is definitely the low point of the series, but I thought 3 was fantastic (I know a lot of people disagree). I would recommend just reading about the overarching story of Revelations (if you even care about that) and then playing 3.
