  1. I liked 3 better than 2. 2 just never really clicked with me, either in campaign or multiplayer. It was fine, but I thought but 1 and 3 were superior in both campaign and multi. My copy of Halo 4 has shipped. I expect delivery in approximately 25 hours.
  2. People who have played both AC3 and Liberation: Is Connor's voiceacting as terrible in AC3 as it was in Liberation? Because that was just... wow...

    1. TCP

      TCP

He sounds native. Which means sometimes he talks in a very monotone voice, but living in a community with a very large native population, it's something I hear all the time.

The scenes of him and his friends talking as children had some bad voice acting though.

So what you're saying is that it's pretty accurate? Do they sound like the native americans on TV shows?

The voice acting seems fine thus far. He's better voice acted than a lot of the bit part characters, but not quite as well as some of the main supporting protagonists. Overall though, he's definitely not badly voice acted. Maybe it's a different guy for Liberation, or he was having a bad day/ not being payed enough.

      Also AC3 is fucking TIGHT.

  3. I thought it looked more like an Evil Metal Zoidberg mouth, but now that you've said that I can't unsee it.
  4. @Hot Heart: I actually agree with TCP on that. I liked ME3 more than ME2 right up until the ending, and even then the Extended Cut fixed basically every complaint I had about it.
  5. Just to go along with the gay atmosphere: I really liked both Love Actually and Definitely, Maybe. But IIRC neither of those followed the standard plot.
  6. That's not what happens in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days! In that one they BOTH have the dirty secret, and they BOTH leave EACH OTHER! It's BRILLIANT and COMPLETELY ORIGINAL!
  7. Yeah, it was more about accepting others for who they are.
  8. I think a large part of Dishonored's appeal is that it's something new in a sea of sequels, reboots and copycats.
  9. Wreck-It-Ralph. I'm not ashamed to admit I got a little misty-eyed at a couple parts.
  10. Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation. I enjoyed it. Not the best game in the series, but worth playing.
  11. w00t! Having put about 13 hours into it now, I feel that I can express an opinion: It's definitely suffered from being a portable game, but not as much as one might expect. Interestingly, though I would say that in just about every way I don't think it's as good as Revelations, I'm actually enjoying it more than I did Revelations. Might be because it being a handheld game I'm not holding it to as high of standards, I don't know.

    Apple

Yeah, a brand-new product selling out doesn't mean anything without absolute sales numbers to go along with it. Apple and Nintendo especially both seem to be fond of making their first run about six units so they can go "look, we sold out worldwide!"
  13. Playing Assassin's Creed Liberation on the Vita has made me want an OLED TV. That display is gorgeous. *Edit* - And yeah, white pixels are one of those obvious-in-retrospect kind of things.
  14. See, where I thought the maps suffered from the double-duty was in the campaign. They didn't have the right flow.
  15. I liked armor lock. And Reach was the first time I'd played Halo multi extensively since the first one.
  16. That may be the best Halloween costume I've ever seen.
  17. Yeah, but that's a PITA, and the point is that I shouldn't have to. And it's not so much the environmental issue for me as the fact that something like 10% of 1st-world residential power use is from devices in "standby", and that means that 10% of my electric bill is shit using power when it shouldn't be.
  18. From Mal in the status post: http://www.vg247.com/2012/11/01/ps4_details_playstation_4/ For fuck's sake why can't we just turn shit off anymore?
  19. Yeah, I don't know why they dropped Firefight, that was my favorite mode after campaign coop. I'm really looking forward to Spartan ops though. I'm definitely a singleplayer/coop player, so more content for that style is greatly appreciated.
  20. Five hours in and the damn game finally seems to have opened up (beginning of Sequence 3). It's good, because I was beginning to lose patience with it.
  21. If they didn't want to have him change armor then they shouldn't have redesigned the armor. As for the second comment, I've heard from a couple sources that it feels a little harder on Heroic than past games have. @Dean: I hadn't thought about the fact that they could intentionally have her being showing her age, given that her descent into rampancy is a major element of this game.
  22. I don't like the changes they made to chief, because supposedly that's the same model of armor as he was wearing in 2 and 3 (in-universe model, not in-game model), but it looks completely different (shoulders and helmet being most obvious, aside from color). Between 1 and 2 they established that he had gotten an upgrade, I don't know why they couldn't have done the same thing here. Also, higher-res version: and for fun, here's Cortana: Being a hologram she can of course change her appearance at will, but man did her boobs get saggy. I still think the Halo 1 design is my favorite, but this one doesn't bother me as much as the chief.
  23. The original article was being sensationalist and saying that the console market is dying. What Dean was saying is that the consoles will keep going along, but they'll never be anywhere close to as big as they were this gen in terms of number of users.
