  1. Why in gods name does configuration consume 4.2 GB? Also, why would they pick a visual that so clearly demonstrates how shitty the small one is, with the beads overflowing?
  2. I forgot how low res internet pictures were back then.
  3. WELL NEVER MIND THEN! The article I read earlier lied to me.
  4. Mass Effect 1: Cerberus is a rogue Alliance intelligence agency. Mass Effect 2: Cerberus is a well funded terrorist group. Al-Queda IN SPACE! Mass Effect 3: Cerberus is a cartoonishly powerful terrorist group. Cobra IN SPACE! I can see the evolution of the idea, but the jump from 2 to 3 is a little hard to swallow.
  5. The word isn't "GIF", which you're right is an acronym, it's "gif" which is not (though obviously it comes from the acronym). I think that's an important distinction. It's still a stupid word though. And I have never, ever heard anyone use it as a verb.
  6. That looks awesome. I really really hope there's a good PC version that launches at the same time as the console versions, but I fear that hope is in vain.
  7. Probably all of that combined with the fact that you got to play the extended cut on your first playthrough. The extended cut fixed 95% of my problems with the ending.
  8. I don't understand how they stay in business anyway, given that it's more expensive than Pizza Hut and doesn't taste as good.
  9. I've got a Steam key for [Prototype] I'd be willing to trade something for. *Edit* - Here's my Steam wishlist if anyone has something on there they'd like to trade: http://steamcommunity.com/id/themightyethan/wishlist
  10. I'm just making all kinds of impulse-purchases today.
  11. Is there anyone who doesn't like the 4th amendment? (For non-Americans, that's the one that says they have to get a warrant to search your stuff.)
  12. Awesome. I loved Earth 2150 and The Moon Project, but never played 2160.
  13. Well fuck, now I regret buying Uncharted: Golden Abyss. I don't regret Gravity Rush though, not for a second.
  14. I feel like there's some joke going over my head with that yogurt.
  15. Those are two different publishers... how the hell did that happen?
  16. I dunno, I could see paying $10 for a pizza, sounds reasonable enough, but $10.20? Now that's just way out of my price range...
  17. That's funny, because to me "yonder" is a quintessentially hick thing to say, the opposite of literary or educated. *Edit* - And in my experience "friggin" is a playground version of "fucking". It's only a little worse than gosh/darn/heck, and comparable to "freaking".
  18. I find that at anything higher than 80 everything starts to get a weird fisheye effect.
  19. Since when are space marines outdated?
  20. You remember when the smoky transparent N64s were the coolest thing ever? Those were awesome.
  21. I do agree that we could do with more good 3D platformers. I can't even think of any that aren't called Mario since... ever? Ratchet and Clank never clicked with me.
  22. Finally found it cheap enough to give it a try ($12.75). I've heard nothing but good things about it.
  23. I played as a girl in Saints Row: The Third, and you know what seemed weird about it? Absolutely nothing. Granted, Saints Row is not anywhere close to realistic in any way, but you keep talking about physical differences between men and women that would make ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE in the gameplay. They could have had a woman protagonist that was just a different character model but that otherwise played exactly the same as the men and it would not have been weird at all. The idea that it would be unworkable is frankly quite sexist. If they want to say "we didn't want to have a woman for creative reasons" then that's fine and that's their prerogative, but there's no objective reason why they shouldn't have a woman.
  24. I mean I think Memorial Day is for soldiers who are KIA/MIA, not just who have died since then.
