Sim City is one I really really want to be interested in, but their online policy and lack of save/reload is killing it for me.

I think the tiles and such absolutely make sense on a touch screen device. It's on a kb/m device that they don't make sense (laptops included). Really my only issue with the Metro interface is that there's no option to replace it with a more classic "start menu" type setup if you're not on a touch screen device. The reason the list view is nice is because it's a lot more convenient to go through 2-3 pages of a list view than 20-30 of tiles.

Of course phone/tablet will never compete in the AAA category (or at least not any time soon). That's not the point. The point is that many of the more casual gamers who jumped on console this gen are never going to buy another console again because they can get their casual fix from their phone/tablet. AAA gamers will stick with consoles and PC, but as dean said AAA is fairly niche. It's just a niche that buys a LOT.

Article I of the Constitution says that the election must take place on a single day throughout the country, so if they delay it on the east coast they'd have to delay it nation wide. Also the date is set by law so to delay it Congress would have to meet and pass a bill changing the date.

@FDS re tiles: I know Steam doesn't do that either, but it should. At least make it an option to have it take the icon images and automatically turn them into tiles. It's stupid that you have to get a third-party program to do that. Obviously this is a minor complaint.

GTAV officially got a Spring 2013 release date, but no mention of PC in the official release. That bodes ill.

Yeah, I did too. I do know that you pilot a jet in at least one level of the singleplayer campaign, I have no idea about multiplayer though.

I was looking at that Amazon ad this morning, and while the Fire obviously has better features than the iPad Mini the iPad's form-factor is prettier.

BAH! You tell Amazon: Card Number + Billing Address Amazon tells bank: I have this card number with this billing address. Bank says: that billing address doesn't match, it might be a fake charge, I'm not approving it. Seriously, I have had this happen to me before when I moved and updated my address with the bank but didn't update my billing address on the site I'm trying to buy from.

Metal said that Amazon was telling him he needed a US billing address to buy it. Sometimes if the billing address you enter on the site doesn't match the address the bank has they won't let the charge through. I've had it happen (after moving and not getting everything properly updated).
