  1. http://www.joystiq.com/2012/08/31/bethesda-ps3-dawnguard-release-still-problematic/ I'm certain this is related to the fact that PS3's memory is divided into two pools, which IIRC is what gave Skyrim all its PS3 problems in the first place.
  2. Something in that ad that I think is a common misconception is that being drugged and then raped while unconscious doesn't fall under the definition of "forcible rape", but it does (at least under the common law definition of forcible, and that's what would likely be used since the law didn't specifically define "forcible").
  3. Everyone knows reality has a liberal bias.
  4. Kind of early to be advertising a movie coming out in February...
  5. Nowhere I've ever lived except the dorms has had ethernet hookups. Is that a standard thing?
  6. Yeah, I was kind of in awe of how good Uncharted looked on the Vita. I was playing that at the same time my wife was playing Skyward Sword, and I just couldn't help but laugh that handheld console I was using far outclassed the Wii in terms of hardware, even if it is 5 years newer.
  7. Honestly, the more I think about it the more having separate memory cards seems like actually LESS of a hassle than doing the resetting thing. The only real problem with it is that the memory cards are balls ass expensive. @Excel: Mostly beside your point, but the US PSOne selection on the Vita store sucks balls compared to the EU one. You can still side-load the games from PS3 apparently though, so it's not really that big a deal.
  8. Yeah, I was thinking about it wrong, for some reason I was thinking the system was locked, but it's just the card. I still think it's stupid, but I retract my righteous indignation. Buying a separate memory card for each person who uses the Vita isn't just ridiculous. As for the people who were doing the system reset thing, I totally agree that they were on notice what they were doing probably wasn't what Sony wanted them to be doing, and I don't feel bad for them losing access to that capability.
  9. @Strangelove: You can't say it's a handheld thing, because the whole idea of these persistent accounts is extremely new in terms of handhelds. At most you've got the 3DS and PSP as precedents, which isn't exactly stretching back into the ages. Even your Pokemon example only applies to the cartridge, not the handheld. And while obviously a handheld is designed to be used by one person at a time, it's stupid to make it such a pain in the ass for other people to play mine when I'm not using it. We're supposed to buy a separate $250 console for every person in the house? Maybe that was workable when Gameboys cost $80 each, but at these prices it's just not a viable solution. You're absolutely right that it was designed that way, I'm just saying that it's stupid that it's designed that way.
  10. I wasn't designed for multiple accounts, but it should have been. I'm not even talking about one person having more than one account, I'm talking about my wife and I both wanting to use the same Vita. We haven't been doing the old resetting thing either because it's way too much of a hassle, but our usage situation should have been designed for in the first place.
  11. Because apparently they're complete assholes. The existing system was already terrible, then they go and make it worse.
  12. Yeah, that's how I did it. The Flickr thing would be nice for when I'm not at my computer though.
  13. I owned FFVII and VIII on the original PS1, if that makes you feel better.
  14. I already own too many new games that I haven't played yet to go adding old games to the backlog.
  15. Yeah, that's the one. It took me like 5 tries to even get a bronze and once I did I just said screw it, that's good enough.
  16. That sounds good. I couldn't find a good way so I ended up downloading the content manager. I would also like to add that of the games I have there I don't think Pinball or Rumbletrucks count because I got them free from PS+ and have no intention of ever playing them.
  17. I got all except for two of the DLC trophies. I couldn't get better than bronze in one of the rift plane races, but I don't remember whether it was the Military pack or the Spy pack. I think it was the Military pack.
  18. I got it within like 4-5 days of starting the game (granted I played the game a LOT during that time).
  19. I never posted this because I never got around to copying it to my computer, but here we go:
  20. I feel inadequate now, but here's mine: I also have P3P but I haven't transferred it from my PS3 yet.
  21. It also might have been directed at CNN rather than the media in general, because a lot of people on the right think CNN has a liberal bias. But knowing how some of the more extreme members of the Republican party are I'm not inclined to give her the benefit of the doubt.
  22. There's still the most obvious one, which is pretty good in my experience as long as you put some thought into what you're doing.
  23. Yeah, stuff like Smirnoff Ice and Mike's Hard taste delicious, but there's so much sugar that I can only get through about 1 1/2 of them before my stomach starts to hurt.
  24. That's like saying that there's nothing worth seeing on PS3 that I can't just view on Youtube.
  25. I was going to say that, but the point is undercut by the fact that Dawnguard was delayed on PC and Hearthfire is being delayed too.
