The greatest Controller of all time!

Palm: Fingers: -
I've been debating about whether to get the 2D or 3D Toy Story trilogy. I'm leaning toward 3D because if I ever want to watch it in 2D my TV lets me just turn off the 3D effect (basically it only displays the right eye rather than both eyes).

Heels over head makes a lot more sense. I mean, generally speaking your head is supposed to be over your heels.
-
I agree. I loved
-
That sounds like how we'd say "ass over ankles". Just a more colorful way of saying head over heels.

I held it with my palms for the longest time until my wife of all people corrected me. I grew up with an NES, Genesis, and SNES, but I didn't get a PS2 until 2008 so by then I'd already had 12 years of training to hold it with my palms on the N64, Xbox and 360. I had had a PS1 previously, but that was a long time ago and I'm guessing back then my hands were small enough that it wasn't a big deal (that and far fewer games on the PS1 used analog sticks, I didn't even have a controller that had them). I was so happy after she told me how to hold it right though, because until then I couldn't play PS2 games for more than about an hour before it really started hurting my wrists. -
Well like people were saying earlier EA's given itself such a bad rep recently with bullshit bans that now people are willing to believe just about anything is possible from them. Trolls are going to capitalize on that, cause that's just what trolls do.

Just beat Skyrim. 76 hours in. Consider it "beat" now that I've finished the Dovahkiin and the civil war quest chains, though I still haven't done anywhere close to everything.
-
I'm not sure if it will work as an analog stick or not. I think so, but I haven't tried it with a game like that yet.
-
Well hello, and how are you doin?
-
Yeah, I was going to say that I haven't heard that, but I have heard "ass backward". That doesn't really mean the same as putting the cart before the horse though. Putting the cart before the horse means you're getting ahead of yourself. For instance buying a car before you've passed your driver's test would be putting the cart before the horse. Doing something ass backward just means you're doing it in a stupid fashion, usually doing it in an overly complicated/difficult way when there's a simpler/easier way to go about it.

For me it's the sticks, there's not enough tension on the DS3 and there's a huge deadzone in the middle. I just got an adapter that lets me plug a wired 360 controller into the PS3, solved that problem right quick. -
Remember though that "non-traditional" gamers are a large part of Nintendo's market, and they don't tend to be plugged in to video game news like we are, so most of them won't even have heard that it's supposed to be a failure to be put off by that.

It's fake, try the link.

Just finished the Dragonborn quest line. It ended rather abruptly, and anti-climactically.

huh, I've seen enchanted apparel show up in "other", but I've never seen something show up in a completely random category like that. Weird.
-
lol, actually that's what I did when I told my wife about it. DID THEY FORGET ABOUT COLORADO?
-
Yeah, I did that too until I got my smithing and enchanting skills up to 100. Until then I was hovering around 10k gold for a LONG time, and then after I got them maxed all of a sudden I was raking in cash like nobody's business.
-
Why? Modding is part of PC gaming.

Got mine yesterday afternoon, played about 7 hours of Skyrim with it, and I love it. I'm not really sure why people don't like the thumbstick, I mean it does act like an 8-directional pad but that's not the stick's fault it's the game's (since the game is expecting wasd input you have to map the stick to wasd which only allows 8 directions of movement). It takes a little getting used to that it's not true analog movement, but once you do it's fine. I love that using the thumbstick frees up 4 keys directly under my fingers for other functions. My only complaint is that the bottom row of 3 keys is pretty hard to reach, so I wouldn't map any panic buttons to those (I have mine as quick save, quick load, and toggle local map in Skyrim). Another bonus, that I didn't realize it would do when I ordered it, is that it will auto-detect most major games and automatically switch to your custom profile for them when you run the game. Nifty.

I was making a point of selling all my stuff, even waiting the 48 hours for merchants to restock gold, but when I hit 110k gold I was like "screw it"
-
I've gotten to the point where I have more money than I know what to do with. I don't even bother selling my loot anymore, I just put it in a chest so I can sell it if I decide to in the future.

You know what's disturbing about that Facebook thing? Someone working there had to think of that in order to make it not possible.
-
I'm not sure why that last jump caught people by surprise, there's a similar jump a little bit earlier unguarded sectionthat should have put them on notice that might happen. Doesn't make it any less stupid, but people should have seen it coming.

I don't know that I've had the option to marry anyone. In fact I wouldn't even know it's possible if it weren't for people talking about it. How does it work, exactly?
