  1. I dunno, I play both BlazBlue and Guilty Gear, and I have nothing against MK. If I wanted it to play like other fighting games, I'd play other fighting games.
  2. Are these the same hardcore players who play MvC3? If yes, then lol.
  3. Harley originated from TAS. Mr. Freeze's whole backstory also originates from there. (He was previously just a random villain with an ice gimmick in the Adam West show and comics, afaik.)
  4. Smart PC folk: is there a way to lock access to my PC without stopping any background apps like Steam, uTorrent and the like? I want to seed stuff while I'm away from home as well as be able to read any messages left by others.

Yeah just leave it on lock as all the others have said and of course make sure you turn the power saving settings off since even if it's locked that would quit processes.

  5. Batman the Animated Series as a whole has some amazing episodes, so it's worth watching if you're into Batman. I think it's one of my favorite Western cartoons ever (the episodes A Bullet for Bullock and Heart of Ice are amazing).

My problem is that the layout makes me scroll more to see my subscriptions, since it's one video = one row, instead of one subscription = one row. Plus the actual thumbnails are larger. I have a ton of info on the screen I don't need and not enough of what I do need.

agreed cyber rat. if they had done one thing correctly is the whole "one subscription per row". now machinima takes like the entire screen when they release shit

  8. Would you still pick it for GOTY? I'm not sure something having a lower score than other titles should mean it's not GOTY material. If I had to review Skyrim, I'd score it lower than some other games I reviewed and I'd still consider it GOTY over them... If that makes any sense.
  9. I think my experience with the game will rely solely on whether they give me a good enough reason why he'd still be miserable after the second game. Him staying miserable after the first one made complete sense, but after the closure of MP2, I'm really skeptical. If they can pull that off, then that's the hardest part behind them and the actual portrayal of Max shouldn't be off. Of course, this is one of those series where I'm a complete fanboy, so I'm going to be an utter elitist about MP3 even if it's the best shooter ever. Couldn't agree more on this.
  10. Yea, Modern Sonic was my biggest complaint so far. Thankfully, there are only two levels where you are forced to precision platform with him (and those were actually my two most hated levels).
  11. The Checkers comparison would be more appropriate for all the puzzle games people keep mentioning (like Tetris). SMB3 doesn't really give you incentive to play it beyond being a good game.
  12. Melee combat head-on: not so well. Tons of health potions used. I play this character without a mount, so I rarely get ambushed in the wild, making fighting stuff head-on a non-issue. The only thing that gives me trouble are random dragons, and only if I'm out of invisibility potions/powers.
  13. Actual location makes little impact on a noir story. If you get the mood right, you can make an excellent noir in any town, city or locker room. Max Payne 1 and 2 also had in-game cutscenes, but the graphic novel was the main focus for major plot points and things you couldn't render in the engine. (And by the way, the style was graphic novel, not pulp comic. Pulp comics used this kind of visual style.) I am actually least worried about the gameplay and setting, and mostly worried how they'll handle the story and the main character. Regardless on whether you got the good or bad ending in Max Payne 2, Max not "finding peace" even after that makes the character seem like a lost cause. I would have actually preferred a Max Payne 3 with Max at peace and just dealing with a new "threat". Him still being haunted by memories of his dead family and friends doesn't seem in-character to me. Of course, I'd be happiest if I'm proven wrong and the story evolves into something that makes sense, but I'm very skeptical in that regard. It might lose the charm of the old games' story. Also, in regards to Noir not needing to be in grimdark cities: The Set-Up - takes place in locker room, boxing ring, hotel room, and one street. All locations are more or less 10 minutes walk from each other; White Heat - takes place in rural locations for most part.
  14. In regards to Sneak, does anyone else think it's overperforming? No min-maxing, played a regular stealthy/destruction char. Got sneak to 91, had an ebony dagger, boots that muffled movement and gloves that doubled sneak attack damage (total x30). This, together with almost all the other sneak perks and the Nightingale ability (turn invisible while crouching as long as power is active) makes you unbelievable powerful. Even without the Nightingale power, I can sneak, forward roll and instant kill any NPC from the front. Sometimes, I can be fast enough to do it on 2 NPCs standing next to each other. Oh, and snuck up on a dragon. Dropped him from full to 5% hp in one hit. I think something is really wrong with that...
  15. You don't say? I do. We're Serbia now, yo. We even use the same three colors. You should look it up on Wikipedia sometime.
  16. If you're getting it for the SP, 20 bucks or lower is well worth it.
  17. Oh crap, what did I beat in the meantime... Sideway, Orcs Must Die, Renegade Ops, Sonic Generations, Jurassic Park the Game, Serious Sam 3....
  18. So, I wrote a bit about console piracy. It hardly covers every console (I have 0 knowledge of the GameCube, let alone how piracy worked out for it, and the Master System was a tad irrelevant), but I think it gives a general idea of how piracy worked on home consoles. I thought the reason it failed on the N64 was hilarious.
  19. I need an application that will let me cap the Internet speed on one of two PCs that share an Internet connection. IE, my brother will be using the old PC when I buy a new one, so I want to cap his Internet speed so if he turns on YT videos or torrents, it doesn't ruin my gaming sessions (and vice versa).

I...I don't know what to say. THIS IS AN OUTRAGE! I have been defamed and exploited. My relationship with the Phoenix Wright series should never have been brought to light and for that I am not sorry. But I love it dearly. AND I WILL NOT BE TERRORISED. I feel like Hugh Grant here
