So the levels are very very long?

Ah, I remember something like this happening with New Vegas

      Same with Rock of Ages.

  1. I think the valley level in Serious Sam 3 has more enemies than all the previous levels combined. Holy fuck...

  2. Sell out? Bethesda has been releasing console ports since Oblivion. That makes this the third game. There's a limit to how long you can sell out until you're sold out. And the UI is horrible for both console and PC, it just comes as more shocking to PC players I guess.
  3. I hated Oblivion, thought Fallout 3 was alright and that New Vegas was quite good. I really really like Skyrim so far.
  4. If you contact support and they still blow you off, try telling them to escalate your ticket to higher ups as you are not satisfied with the support they've shown.
  5. Post it on Reddit with the thread title "If you think Origin is bad, Steam is just as bad and worse" and explain your story. If it gets attention, it might even make it to some mainstream sites like those EA bannings and you might get your stuff back. (I am serious with this suggestion. You have nothing to lose, really)
  6. Is there any application that could let my keyboard work with "turbo" buttons? When I hold "A" for example, it will repeat that keystroke X amount of times per second for as long as it's held?

Tough one. I haven't found anything that just does it, and I'm not sure how this would work in games, but you might try looking at keyboard macro recorders - if nothing else, you should be able to program a preset burst of presses.

  7. Yes, I fought with a bow like a coward, while a mudcrab took the dragon head on.
  8. I got burned out from reading in High school (we really had to read a lot of books in a very short time frame), but I do enjoy reading something now and then. So, take this as a disclaimer that I am not a heavy reader. I'd recommend a few things from Paul Auster: Moon Palace, Book of Illusions, Brooklyn Follies, Mr. Vertigo and Oracle Night. I think from the whole lot, I'd say go with Moon Palace and Book Illusions. I know he has a bunch of other books, but I haven't read them all (going through Mr. Vertigo at the moment, actually). The Two Gentlemen of Lebowski is also an interesting read. I've heard good things about Within Ruin.
  9. State of Tamriel at the start of Skyrim. If you want to read up on it. Edit: slight correction about the map, Northern Hammerfell is independent. tl;dr: High Elves fucked everyone up, lizards took over what was left of Morrowind, Cyrodiil fought and eventually signed a peace treaty, Redguards ended up being the ultimate badasses.
  10. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/11/16/wot-i-think-sonic-generations/ RPS's review.
  11. I'm more of a 2D fan myself. Never could get into 3D fighting games. I'm very highly specific though. The game needs to be at a certain speed to appeal to me. Probably why I enjoy Guilty Gear the most. Looking forward to trying out the new KoF and Skullgirls, and I've been playing some Melty Blood recently and am sad I don't have anyone to play it with. As far as games that plain stink: Killer Instinct. It was never good. It took the worst parts of Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter and tried to be an oxymoron by being a "brutal" Nintendo game. Also, Card Game Bullet Hell Versus Fighter:
  12. Why make the Xbox pad the only pad to work with your PC game? How about we kick it up a notch and make shooters only work with Razer mice?

It's like - you'd never grab a NES controller full-contact like that. I'm assuming you wouldn't do it on a SNES - I've never seen someone do it like that. The handles are basically an evolution of that design. On a Dreamcast, you CAN'T grab it like that. The XBox controller is just uniquely designed (for first party anyway) in that regard.

Also I don't mean it's way out on the tips - just that my palms aren't in contact with it. Then you can pretty much put your thumbs on the sticks with wrist movement. It allows very precise movement and low RSI risk.

Well it's hard to grab the SNES full contact because IT HAS NO HANDLES. The DS has had handles even before it became the DS.

  13. Missed this post initially, but yes, I have the same problem and no solution.
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=daK1eRoKw1A Had to be done.
  15. Well, now I know what my third character will be...

  17. Walks-At-Dawn. I played the character in both Oblivion and Morrowind, but I don't think I ever "finished" an Elder Scrolls game with him. In general, he was a blade + bow + light armored assassin. Due to Skyrim's system, he's more of a Jack of All Trades this time around. One-Handed, Archery, Sneaking, Lockpicking, Light Armor, Destruction and a few other skills.
  18. Yep, Dean, using the console disables all achievements.
  19. Never been douchey around these 'ere parts.
  20. He realized that just like his PS3, we are all fragile and could break down any day. He is posting this because he never got the chance to say the same thing to his PS3. It's a reasonable reaction.
  21. That is insane. I didn't even know half of those routes.
