Oh man, Critter Crunch is such a pretty looking and swish game. Way overly short though. Lost Odyssey was my one to add. Many folks talk of FFXIII as the big JRPG of the gen, but LO came out a fair bit before, just gimped by being 360 exclusive (luckily Last Remnant jumped ship to PC). It plays very much like I'd have figured a next-gen JRPG would. Way more so than FFXIII did. One of my few 360 games I own (despite lack of a 360).

Estimated Time of Arrival. Normally for edits you put "Edit: corrected grammar". Also the 10 people sharing did seem a bit too many people to be sharing full games with.

Essentially "I'm cisgender" is to "I'm transgender" as "I'm straight" is to "I'm gay". Essentially yeah it's a way to avoid going "She's a black transgender lesbian, and I'm normal". And also a quick shortcut word during discussion instead of saying "man born as a man,with man bits, who self-identifies as a man". When it comes to LGBT, especially the T, personal identity is a big part of it. And Gabriels' views shit all over that.

If he'd had left it as his original tweet then yeah, I'd get it as a vague "anti-social justice" thing. But when he went further on with his "women have vaginas" thing, and his half-arse apology of sorts to his friend in the email it's clearly something a bit more deep seated than just disliking people that overuse the term cis-.

Yeah I've yet to hit the point of laser weaponry when playing myself. Fucking terror missions.

So Mike Krahulik of Penny Arcade decided to become an ass-hat today. And he seems quite pleased with himself about it too. More on his feed, I'm not linking whole chain and all the responses. He didn't even need the anonymity part. Problem is many people look up to these guys, and they'll take a similar view. On top of that, these are the guys heading two of the largest gaming events in the calendar. His attitude isn't exactly a healthy one to take. There's being passive on trans issues, and then there's being outright derogatory and refusing to listen. And being proud of that fact too.

I did say expect them to put everything they've mentioned at launch and E3 into place eventually. Their message is muddy, but it's clear that they want their DRM future in place. They'll just maybe try and woo people into buying a few consoles before the flip the switch back on.

Eh, share a game, person decides they want to own it for themselves. Be it just to have in their collection or due to it having some form of MP they'd want to play with the original owner. Publishers are much more likely to win than lose. The cheap games already make them much much more than otherwise anyway.

I'm assuming you mean post-launch? So, pretend to turn it off now to sell more units at launch, then turn it back on later? That would just be begging for some massive class-action lawsuit, no? Oh and the cheap parts on the disc tray wrecking many discs. Oh and even bothering to suggest these plans on DRM.

Finished up Machete Order. Do it. Especially if it has been a while since watching Star Wars, and especially if you've people who have yet to watch it. It really came together with going from III, the fall of Anakin to the Dark Side, to VI, with his eventual redemption. Still miffed on the young Anakin force ghost though. Oh and maybe wedge in some of the Robot Chicken specials in there, and if the person you're watching with knows of the Luke-Leia sibling thing. Cos fuck that makes it oh so much more hilarious. Especially the looks given on the realisation of "oh shit, they kissed" "oh shit, we kissed". 1:06

They'll turn it on again in the future though. No fucking way did all their infrastructure and planning vanish like that. It'll be back. For one the way they're trying to balance out the 30-40% power deficit over the PS4 is with this "cloud computing" stuff. Sure it's all bullshit to work how it would need to, but without an online connection it won't work at all. It's a much needed u-turn, though only furthers to muddy their message. It makes thier past few weeks of insistence on this stuff all being needed look like balls. Heads will be rolling within MS HQ. It's kinda like the SimCity debacle, but EA have so far stuck to their guns.

Yeah I had to double check it was CGI on first watch, faces clearly where but some of the detailing is pretty sweet. Grime build up in morgan freemans beard, broken mask on space dude, batmans fabric cape.

They bother making the characters look like blocks because that's what lego looks like and it's a lego movie. Byt it seems such a stupid question to ask I think I'm misunderstanding you.

You do it in CGI because it's a crap ton easier. Stop motion can be rewarding but Lego, specifically minifigs, can be a fucking pain in the ass to do it in. Can be more flexible with where they stand/walk for one (don't need to put them on the dimples all the time).

I kinda dislike the look of the PS4 interface. But I guess that's cos I think XMB was so good. The trackpad is likely to make this layout a bit more functional I guess.

So we've wrapped up Revenge of the Sith, likely watching Return of the Jedi tomorrow night or on Thursday. Housemate brought up a point. When Senator Organa takes Leia back with him to Alderaan what's worse: to say the baby is that of recently deceased Senator Amidala, of whom he has worked with for many years, . Or that the baby is that of Darth Vader, the Sith right hand man of Emperor Palpatine. In fact he probably doens't have much more than that to go on, they were still trying to piece it together during the whole charade.
