  2. http://gamasutra.com/view/news/194011/Opinion_Xbox_Ones_tough_value_proposition.php Gamasutra's editorial of the Xbox E3 presser. Good to know I'm not the only one noting the weirdly unpassionate people on stage. Especially the 343 lass. Announcing a new Halo like she was talking about her recently deceased parrot.
  3. Apparently you want to set it to be in Illinois so that the website doesn't "crash" or have "errors" as it's gong through. I think the phone calls should work in US, which'd be about the only one, minus a court order, that'd stop it auto-renewing out of US.
  4. From Respawn Entertainment, using the power of Source Engine, comes...Titanfall http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXwoDAPlFrM Looks pretty, might give it a look over time. I need to play more Hawken though. Still quite amazing this is the same engine running TF2 though.
  5. Xbox One selling for $499/€499/£429. Which as I've noted elsewhere is $666. Titanfall looked interesting, certainly when you point out it's the same engine as TF2. Also coming to PC. Witcher 3 is...well it's Witcher game so yeah I'll grab that...on PC. So yeah, as I posted in GOH's status post, they're going to be having a lot of games that even if console exclusive to Xbone, will likely still be on PC. @MJ: Yeah PS4 lacking the Kinect camera should reduce the price. But it does have higher end parts inside.
  6. Titanfall is coming to PC too afaik. (it's Source Engine after all). Also can still wear a cloak on top, I'd assumed power armour is armour first, environment suit after. Regulation of heat would still be a thing you'd want, and ponchos have been shown over the years to be pretty good at that.
  7. £429? WTF MS. Also that's $666 when converted.

  8. That was the Xbox 360 segment. Ryse onwards is Xbox One games.
  9. I guess it gets folks talking about it.
  10. If you're going off my event post on Steam, I fucked up. Other than that, no it starts in 20 minutes (check countdown I linked in Gerbils post)
  11. Yeah Hong Kong is only Chinese as of a decade or so ago. It's meant to be pretty anti-extradition too. But yeah, I doubt China would do as America wills unlike most other countries (ashamedly including ours :/).
  12. http://www.dewanddoritos.com/ Whoever is doing their marketing is laughing his way to the bank. Also input one what? One limb, one right of first sale, one human child?
  13. Grammar rules through food.
  14. Interactive map of Westeros: http://quartermaester.info/
  15. The Heavy Rain tech demo, the model used in that became the prostititue iirc. Kara tech demo she might end up in Two Souls, but she's not Ellen Page. edit: added couple extra streaming feeds up top (durr, should of thought of Twitch TV sooner ).
  16. Added a bunch of links to the top for streaming and such, should find at least one stream that'll work at any given time. Chats going on in the PXOD Steam chat, as well as the IRC ##pxod on freenode. (can in the forum chat room I guess, but the 5 man limit would probably be an issue). As for myself, I'm interested to see what I'm to be "please be excited for" from S-E, I guess FFXV/Versus. Other than that, mainly a case of seeing footage of already announced/known of games, and watching the trainwreck that MS is likely to be. Nothing off the top of my head that's unannounced that I'm wanting to see.
  17. You can install Steam games in selective locations now, so while bulk would be in "storage/HDD", you will be able to put some on SSD if you wish. As far as SSDs go, look up stress tests and such, the difference between some brands can be quite big, and especially stay away from older tech.
  18. They're bothering to say "in the cloud" because it's a hip cool buzzword, when all they should say is digital marketplace. Everyone else is pretty correct, it'll be one copy of the game stored for the millions of users. For every game sold in retail stores or on their digital store MS will have a little "Xbonegame_002.exe" on the cloud. You pop the disc it, it registers to your account (make sure it's your account you're logged into first), and now you've got the disc to install from but also are allowed to download the halo5.exe from the "cloud" too. It's basically exactly the same as Steam in that regard. Pop the Skyrim disc in, it registers to your account, installs from the disc, but if you so want you can download it from Steams servers too. Your Steam cloud storage is used for screenshots and saves, much like how PSN cloud works too.
  19. But everyone knows him, and he's played the doctor before.
  20. Just beat Far Cry 3, "save your friends" ending. Pretty fun game, mainly just got the collectibles left but given it is uPlay achievements I'm not too bothered with racking those up. Maybe something to do another day. Certainly started getting into a swing near the end with throwing the stones and doing takedowns, didn't really do that much at the start, mainly all bow n arrow for my stealth attacks. Main issue is all the damn menus. Crafting menus, loot menus, shop menus, relic menus, plant menus, and so on so forth.
  21. Eh, multi-plats tend to be lowest common denominator. Still going to have the exclusive, first party ones at that. Sure, not as easy to compared side by side, but it'll be done regardless.
  22. Well as you've said, the reviews have already made a note of the AI mainly targeting the player, and these are from the same spots that completely missed the fact the AI in SimCity was absolutely shit (that'd be posts on reddit covering that element...). So if they're already noting standard quality AI then yeah it's going to give credence to reddit posts saying likewise too. Look, game likely hits the 10/10 in all other areas, but if they're making a point of how amazing their AI is, it better be amazing. I guiess we'll find out as the game ends up in the hands of more people.
  23. If you are making a point of having above average AI in your game then it's not really a "nitpick" to point out it's lacking that and is just bog standard AI.
  24. There wasn't when I played it last, but when I played it last was when it was very much in the "hey this game isn't finished it's still in Alpha, why doesn't the store page say that?" days.
