  1. Wow had no idea about that. I suppose its just designed around a widescreen picture. That's weird though, pretty much every other Nintendo published title has a 4:3 option.
  2. HEY! I hated XIII with all my soul and love Xenoblade with all of it!
  3. No mention of Paradox Interactive releasing Swords of the Stars 2 as a full €40 Alpha? As much as Ubisoft deserve the vote, Paradox shouldn't be forgiven for that. Also....yeah Konami....they don't do much these days....hard to hate them because they haven't done anything for a while.
  4. Xenoblade IS awesome. Its not standard Nintendo fare by any stretch of the imagination.
  5. Wrestlemania today!! Rock VS Cena! Jericho VS Punk! HHH VS Undertaker! YYYYEAH BOY

I always thought George the Animal Steele did a great version of Tor Johnson in the movie Ed Wood (even though the movie itself was very far from factual.)

Also don't flatter yourself, kid. I was responding to TCP calling himself a douche.

  6. THAT MEANS YOU VOTED FOR FALLOUT. LETS GET 'EM FELLAS.
  7. Its been just 3 weeks and Mass Effect 3 is under €30/£25, in fact the PC version is now £18 on amazon.co.uk http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mass-Effect-3-PC-DVD/dp/B004T8C20U/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1333030804&sr=8-2 , with the console versions at £24 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mass-Effect-3-Xbox-360/dp/B004T8C3NG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1333030804&sr=8-1. Zavvi.com have it for €28/£23 on 360 and PS3 http://www.zavvi.com/games/platforms/xbox-360/mass-effect-3/10293230.html?awc=2549_1333030739_5f17842127e66372431fbbfe9b1b3b95&affil=awin&switchcurrency=EUR
  8. Well I don't really count Dark Souls as a JRPG, Dark Souls has none of the JRPG hallmarks. As for Nier, I haven't really played enough of it, but its certainly got better gameplay. Music is amazing, but Nier's music is great too. Xenoblade is a great game with the sum of its parts all put together, wheras breaking down Nier, I mean its not that great gameplay wise.
  9. Friday release eh? That's the game release day for Europe! Anyway get your preorder in NOW. Cause this deserves it. I've spent over a 100 hours on it, and it was easily the best JRPG this generation to me. Also a note on the controllers, with the Wiimote and Nunchuck, you can move and select arts at the same time, but can't move the camera at the same time, but with the classic controller, you can move your character and move the camera at the same time, but can't move and select skills at the same time, with the stick moving you and the d-pad selecting arts. It doesn't matter that much, as your not hindered in anyway by it, but just an FYI.
  10. Yeah, its a lot harder to seeing as its series VS series. if it was the original Metal Gear Solid VS Ocarina of Time, It'd be an easy pick. Mario VS Fallout though, c'mon we know Mario's got it in the bag!.....right guys? RIGHT?
  11. I guess you don't remember the massive popularity of both Melee and Brawl? Melee in particular is easily one of the most popular fighting games ever. Its not too difficult to imagine, there will obviously be more games in the series. Saying its the Mario Party of fighting games, supposed to be an insult I presume? Just because you don't have to remember to half circle forward, half circle back, punch to pull off a special move doesn't mean its not a popular series. Its basic gameplay is some of the tightest of any fighting game. What's your arguement why it shouldn't be considered?
  12. Metroid VS Call of Duty? Alright, everyone who votes for Call of Duty line up for a spanking.

  14. how do you get 100 babies into a bowl? how do you get them out?
  15. Haha, hell yeah, I remember that joke from Dexter's Lab! Also reminded me of the best bad joke ever told in Curb Your Enthusiasm. NSFW! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_YWdozHrZU
  16. It definitely wasn't that bad. In fact its fantastic 2D parts took up about 75% of the game, and the colour powers added to the gameplay quite nicely. The 3D sections were exactly the same as generations which were a massive improvement over other Sonic 3D titles. Don't know where you got the corridor automatic running game stuff from.
  17. Nobody wants to be lied to, that's ridiculous. The Mass Effect 3 day 1 squad mate DLC was off the disc, but was still crappy how things were handled. Capcom make that stuff during development, 2 loads of on disc costumes to be charged for, when Dead or Alive and Soul Calibur, far less popular fighting games, actually offer alternate costumes as normal on disc content. As for it being worth $60 to you, that's fine, I just don't like this massive amount of content being locked on the disc, costumes, colours and characters, I feel there has to be some sort of line drawn, just costumes or just characters maybe, not all together locked and charging $46 for them.
  18. That makes it okay to have all the content on the disc ready and done? So, if the next Street Fighter has half the roster locked on the disc, it'll be fine as long as they charge us $60, and then we pay the rest to unlock all the content on the disc then? Why does it matter if it's on the disc rather than a separate download (all other things being equal)? Well I suppose its a total admission from the developer and publisher 'this content is done but we are holding it back to charge you'. Lets face it, that is exactly what's happening here. The way the characters slot perfectly into the game, along with voice clips with other regular characters, its clear all along they were designed to be part of the whole game. As for whether it would be acceptable as a separate download or not, yes, maybe there is an arguement that psychologically, it would have been easier to accept. Maybe, but Mass Effect 3's day 1 DLC squad mate I find completely unacceptable as well.
  19. That makes it okay to have all the content on the disc ready and done? So, if the next Street Fighter has half the roster locked on the disc, it'll be fine as long as they charge us $60, and then we pay the rest to unlock all the content on the disc then? Okay, not greedy, rather extremely opportunistic for a company. This isn't a new practice by Capcom but its getting worse. Marvel VS Capcom 3, which Capcom had the cheek to actually bring out the Ultimate Edition and STILL keep Jill and Shuma-Gorath as DLC.
  20. ahaha yeah with the exploding coke can filled with pop rocks. Oh man, so many memories.
  21. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TjvnRM554lw Favourite part of the babysitter and the beast episode. Word play at its finest!....wait not word play. Spelling play?......god.
  22. You should go back and read through the thread. I'll summarize -The game already has a massive amount of content not including the DLC -The DLC was created by a different team altogether -There is no confirmation as to whether or not the DLC is even balanced or ready for the game though apparently the characters are usable I've read through the thread already. It is ready for the game, the characters are useable, they have all the voice acting recorded for them all ready, all the animations are there, its all ready to go. Yes, I'm well aware that the game has a lot of content, so what? It doesn't matter whether it had five fighters or fifty, its still incredibly greedy and is a practice that shouldn't be rewarded. So your totally okay will all this stuff being locked on the disc then? What about if there was more than 12 then? Cause that is exactly where things are are headed. as for a different team making all this stuff, I don't see any evidence to suggest that's the case, its really easy to say 'oh the vita team made those' if that was the case they wouldn't be on the disc, in such a complete form. And the costumes on the disc are a typical Capcom standard, so that definitely wouldn't be created by another team.
  23. Well I'd argue your not getting really getting the full game when you buy it new. The full game would contain all of the characters available. as well as....I mean its just so excessive. You don't have a problem with $46 worth of DLC? DLC that is already on the disc and already produced? it doesn't bother you? I'm not buying the game because of all this. maybe $20 for everything put together but all that stuff separately is a rip off.
  24. So its going to cost $20 for the on disc characters, also $13.00 each for seperate Street Fighter and Tekken costume packs. Saying there's loads of fighters in the game already is missing the point. Who cares how many there are when it comes to all this DLC bullshit? That's $46 to get all that content that was made before release that is already on the disc. Sure its a high number fighter roster already, but that does not excuse this practice.
  25. Yeah, sure, they just forgot to mention its May 15th 2013
