  1. Heck I'm basically at the end game, doing loads of side quest stuff but my poor Wii....won't read any discs. Its all packaged up ready to go the Nintendo repair centre.
  2. I think it handles the blurring quite well. Motion blur during the gameplay is total overkill though and can make you feel a bit queasy. On the last bit of the story being told at the start, the tutorial really made the combat seem so fiddly, but its really great. Playing on hard btw.
  3. Even that though, I don't see it being much different then what's happening on other consoles. Still impressive they are getting round to this.
  4. Its the prices that kill it for me. Anyway, Nintendo doing it with one game is great, but Nintendo should put ALL of their 3DS games they've ever launched up their on the store that day when NSMB 2 comes out. I can't see it being supported that well unless they really get behind it.
  5. Properly started The Witcher 2 on PC, good it does look lovely. Can't play Xenoblade.....my Wii is going off to the Nintendo service centre Also playing Demon's Souls, Dark Souls gave me the itch to go back to it and finish it before the server is taken down since I have the US version.
  6. Well not really periodically. Most places give you 75% of their side quests the first time you there. There's a big plot development that changes things in one city though where you have to make sure you do all the side quests there, but aside from that its pretty lax. City below.
  7. So got the mouse lag in the dialogue choices and quick menu as lag free as possible, Using this fix for ATI cards. I didn't have stuttering but it helped the mouse lag. http://www.pc-boost....ttering_fix.zip there's still a touch of lag, but its nowhere near as bad as it was. Changing settings didn't help at all. Got pretty much everything max, except for ubersampling, runs very smooooooth. Welp, and now back to the game! Also... I love that door so much. Its the most perfect looking door I've ever seen in a video game. The way the light changes how it looks when its opened and shut....ohhh gives me goosebumps!
  8. Thanks, I was a wreck when I heard first heard, like a bit of me dying from my childhood, but my younger sister would have taken it the worst, and she's alright now too. Just gotta move on I suppose, she had a good life. Yeah that angle makes her look a bit sad, she was still mostly her self but you could see whenever she moved she was in a lot of pain, she could never quite seem to get comfortable due to the tumour.
  9. Denzel, my families cat, who passed away on Sunday, she was in too much pain and had to be put down because of a stomach tumour. This is a recent picture, which is why she's so skinny.
  10. Ok well, I'm pretty much at the end game. I did as much sidequests as possible, and while you definitely become overpowered, that slowly but surely evens itself out, to where now I'm pretty much the average level. Not to mention all the strong enemies that start appearing in certain locations now, and I'm definitely weak compared to those. As for the sidequests disappearing, well there's changes that happen to the game world over the course of the game, but its mostly not that bad as long as you keep on top of things, maybe going back to each town after a significant plot development.
  11. I loved the the variety showcase episode! The writing was kind of supposed to be bad, and I found it funny that way. Chief Wiggum P.I. was awesome! some great lines in that. "Oh, man, what a day. It's no cakewalk being a single parent, juggling a career and family like so many juggling balls... two, I suppose." When Big Daddy is swimming away. Skinner "He's gradually getting away chief." Wiggum "Ah let him go. I have the feeling we'll meet again, each and every week. Always in more sexy and exciting ways."
  12. Wii won't play any discs :( it started with not reading dual layer discs, and now after I tried to fix it, it ain't playing NOTHING. Guess that near 200 hours of Xenoblade didn't help. TO NINTENDO REPAIR!.....I...I want to play Xenoblade some more. TO DOLPHIN!

My 1st gen Wii did the same thing. I ended up hacking it to play games off an external HDD

Ah yeah, FDS, I was responding to excel's "TO DOLPHIN!" comment. Soft-modding is what you're talking about and yes it is a fantastic way to play.

yeah I may just try softmodding, haven't got any big SD cards or drives, just a 16 GB USB that my do for now, I'll try set it up.

  13. Great read. Couldn't have asked for a better point where Dent links to a kickstarter he feels is risky.. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/policewarfare/police-warfare?ref=category Cancelled! Still that means at the end of the day no money was charged.
  14. I know he said something stupid, but he's not that bad is he? Fez looks so interesting though, the way the platforming isn't even the focus of the game after a while is quite unique....may have to give it a whirl, on the Bombcast they were all singing its praises.
  15. the leader is good, the leader is great, we surrender our will, as of this date!

  16. I just re-downloaded the entire game using the GoG Downloader and it went fine. The updater just kept failing. That's what I'm doing now yeah. Had to send in a picture of my Witcher 2 2.0 version as it doesn't come with any codes. Still annoying. Seems there's still quite a few problems with the Enhanced Edition anyway when you actually get the damn thing running.
  17. Ugh, it has been a nightmare updating the game to the Enhanced Edition. I downloaded the files manually, and the patch-2 file was bloody corrupt, and then the auto downloader which is supposed to be downloading the corrupt files, downloaded the working patch-2 file. Now I've tested and all the files are normal, except patch-26 which is corrupt, and I've redownloaded it about 5 times and its STILL corrupt.
  18. Playing Silent Hill 1 for the first time ever, on PC with an emulator. Looks alright actually, and still has a great atmosphere.

      SomTervo

Great game. Not as good as 2, but still great.

  19. Got this on Friday, only €45 in HMV, same price as a normal version, and it probably won't go down in price anytime soon, soooo weeee! If you register Xenoblade, Last Story and Pandora's Tower all on Nintendo club you get sent some fancy looking coins!
  20. That is....wow.... I'm desperate for AAI2 though. DESPERATE!
  21. Keep in downloadable? Why? If its a full blow Zelda sequel then it'll be a retail release! I'd look forward to it!
  22. Yes, I remember that episode where Comic Book Guy dated Skinner's mother......it was pretty bad....it kind of felt just....off. The police burst in and catch Comic Guy in bed with Skinner's mother and they call him 'Comic Book Guy' which too me, felt so lazy. Like give him a name for chrissakes! Just crap.
  23. There are new titles and franchises here and there, like Xenoblade and The Last Story, but they are far and few between and something needs to be done about it, Kid Icarus is a new direction for a game and a rebirth of an old franchise so its unfair to lump that in with the 'same games' arguement. However, they don't just release 'the same games over and over', I'm a little tired of hearing that. They release sequels a lot I suppose but they are often worth it, like Skyward Sword and Mario Galaxy.
  24. And here's some pictures of the new bosses!
  25. Well if you put in Resident Evil 4 that might win cause of how awesome it is, but its not strictly speaking a horror game so you can't put it in damn it! Project Zero 2/Fatal Frame 2 for scariest game!
