I only just got around to watching the Christmas episode. I thought it was pretty dire. I like the new girl, didn't like anything else about it. I was really bored and the whole thing felt stale and uninspired. I even felt bored with Matt Smith and that meat-headed sidekick of his was pretty annoying. It didn't help that I'm not a fan of Richard E. Grant either. Pretty glad I didn't watch it at Christmas, as it would have been a right downer.

In FDS's defence, the link did not work before for me either, and you can see from FDS's screenshot that Strangleove's post was edited again 5 hours later, which was before anyone else said they could see the picture, which I too can now see, so it probably was a dodgy hotlink. I personally only hotlink from big sites - if I can only find a picture I want on a small/personal site I will put it on imgur. Oh, and I can't believe it's been glossed over that there is a gorgeous puppy in our midst! I hope we will have a lot of photos in the pets thread, TCP. Is that an actual photo of yours?

What difference does it make if you download a 64 or 32 bit version of a digital audio workstation (reaper)? Is it just the amount of memory it can use? It seems like there would be less problems with the 32 bit version in getting it to encode to MP3s just from a bit of reading, and I think he only has 4GB of RAM anyway, so is it safer to stick with the 32 bit version? edit: never mind, think I'll stick with the 32 but version for him, it's most compatible with any add-ons he may want to try. It needs to be foolproof as I'm the best he's got to help if he runs in to problems, heaven help him!

The twelve days of Christmas are after Christmas, not before. 12 days before Christmas is not a thing. I do like driving home for Christmas, but I hate that slade song, and the mud one too. Pretty much glam rock and christmas are not great together. One of my favourite songs I'm guessing didn't travel across the pond is Shakin Stevens: I'm a bit scared to watch the new Snowman film - it will be really hard to match up to the magic surrounding the original.

oops. I watched the first episode of Justified, thought it was too downbeat and never bothered again. Oh well :/
