That guy walking around staring at the ceiling and getting his arse handed to him is exactly why I don't play FPS games. At least I don't embarrass myself on national TV though.

but the homeless income wouldn't be registered so it shouldn't show up?

I'm not too bothered about recommendations or to be honest what games i buy being logged but i dont really want stuff being downloaded by itself since i have a bandwidth cap. especially if the recommendations are publisher sponsored

the casual shirts were super ugly as well. I guess some of the geek stereotypes are true.

the ram's worse than that actually, the wii u has 2gb ram, but 1gb is for OS with only 1gb for games.

I think I added a "do" in near the start and read it as a proper question. Still think Ninty would make a better friend though. You know MS would ditch your arse as soon as someone better came along to hang out with.

Yeah, I'm guessing it's going to be the current gen version, at best a halfway between the two. just nice that it's coming at all - it wouldn't have come to wii, if we were talking about the turn of the last gen, even as a ps2/xbox port.

The social side the guy said (very quickly, so I think he knew how it would go over) that it would link to your other social networks. So I assume it pulls extra info in like your phone does. I may think it's OK if you can keep it from posting to facebook so I'll look forward to more information. They did specifically say someone was playing Killzone, and brought them on stage, surely they wouldn't so blatantly lie? There did seem to be a marked difference between the in-engine demos (e.g. the ice world) and the actual games (e.g watch_dogs) How did the graphics compare to a PC? I'm pleased enough with it that it would take something major for me to want the xbox 3 over it. Something along the lines of a mandatory subscription, and MS cancelling theirs. so not too likely on either end.

I for one enjoy seeing your posts. I hope you don't stop posting as I'm sure no one sees it as showing off - it's nice to see someone doing something they like and it's a bonus when they're good at it as you are. I'd post, but I pretty much hated anything I did to the point that I gave up even trying.

MS, all the way. they bring least innovation, least exclusivity, least shits about games.

Watch Dogs is confirmed for Wii U. That's pretty cool news. It will be even better when I actually see it on the shelves.

Quote: The GPU contains a unified array of 18 compute units, which collectively generate 1.84 Teraflops of processing power that can freely be applied to graphics, simulation tasks, or some mixture of the two. 8GB GDDR5 176GB/s unified Quote: Immediate Gameplay PS4 radically reduces the lag time between players and their content. PS4 features “suspend mode” which keeps the system in a low power state while preserving the game session. The time it takes today to boot a console and load a saved game will be a thing of the past. With PS4, gamers just hit the power button again and are promptly back playing the game at the exact point where they left off. Additionally, users can boot a variety of applications including a web browser when playing a game on PS4. PS4 also enables games to be downloaded or updated in the background, or even in stand-by mode. The system takes it one step further by making digital titles playable as they are being downloaded. When a player purchases a game, PS4 downloads just a fraction of the data so gamers can start playing immediately, and the rest is downloaded in the background during actual gameplay. Quote: DUALSHOCK®4 features a light bar on the top with three color LEDs that illuminate in various colors. The light bar illuminates to match the color of characters in a game to offer a simpler, more friendly way to identify players, even when playing side by side. The light bar also changes patterns during gameplay to provide useful information to gamers, such as when a character is critically low on health or has taken major damage. Quote: Combined with the Mono Headset that will be bundled with PS4, gamers will also be able to chat with friends playing online, while hearing sound effects from the controller in hand. link. Bundled headset should mean more chat than PS3 games, whether you think that's good or bad. I know they said the light bar had different colours so players could identify them, but I didn't realised it matched the player colour on screen, that's quite cool. Also changes pattern when you're low on health or take major damage. Loading up a browser in the middle of playing the game is pretty useful on nintendo hardware, so I like that - i hope you can watch youtube videos while the game's suspsended.

grrr, can't get rid of the "W". Did they hint at an vita XL? I missed that, or are you just hoping.

The Witness may have looked nice, but Jesus Christ, Blow, "see the rest of the games you've just been clapping? They're SHIT YOU FUCKING MORONS now look at my trees and STFU"

Definitely an evolution not a revolution: I wasn't surprised by anything, but it does look cool. I hope people can share their LBP creations outside of the game as there is no chance I could come up with anything unembarrassing in that. I agree with the dive-in gaming being a neat addition. I love just closing my 3DS and opening it to be instantly exactly the same place as I was - it really encourages me for shorter sessions, when sometimes it seems more hassle than it's worth to start up a console. Loved that PSN was down during the event. Glad I didnt' venture in to Home to watch it.

Isn't Nintendo the dorky girl in Science Club that you're too embarrassed to admit you fancy.

620 is a windows 8 phone, and it is a lot smoother experience than you would get on an android phone at that price. I got my 800 when it first came out, and I assume Dean's Dad's phone is not a new purchase. I of course would not recommend getting a windows phone 7 now. Are there any believable rumours about when the next nexus phone will come out?

lol, that does remind me of the move pointer control. I'd forgotten as I've literally only used my move once (to play the demos it came with) there was one where you stacked objects on top of one another and by the top of the stack I was pointing my controller halfway across the room. Pretty unimpressive stuff. I'm sure I've read that they're bringing out a new move camera on the PS4 though, so maybe that has some sort of wii sensor bar equivalent built in since the old one was basically the PS2 eyetoy, wasn't it? If it's purpose built for a new system hopefully they will have fixed that massive flaw.

If you have an ipod for your gaming/app fix maybe you could think about a windows phone. People seem to really like the Nokia Lumia 620 and it is really great value. Windows Phone OS is so smooth and fast you should at least have a look at it but if you want to be using the apps other people are talking about you should steer clear.
-
Pointer control is by far my favourite/only thing I like about motion control so that would be more than fine with me.

Didn't sony say start off by saying their was no evidence of data gathering? I'd never believe a company saying that.

Impressive amount of effort (35 hourse over 8 days), and interesting to see how it is achieved as I would have had no clue otherwise
