All I know is every ash wednesday I hear people saying, "I love pancakes, I don't know why we only have them once a year"/"we should have pancakes more often" and I never hear people say they've had pancakes the rest of the year. I tried horse meat, but it was a long time ago and I don't remember it tasting that different to other meats. The horse meat thing seems to be quite a massive problem and is only getting bigger as more revelations come to light. I'm not clear on how long it's been going on for though.

american - english - crepe, thickest to thinnest, smallest to biggest. Is it traditional to eat pancakes on shrove tuesday in america? The fact that most people call it pancake day here and is the only time in a year when most brits have one makes me think we have a different relationship to pancakes than americans.

What's the red stuff? it looks too runny to be jam. I have a similar problem with quantities, if I make the suggested amount there's half as many as it says, but when I double up it seems like miles too many. I had 3 today. One with golden syrup, one with lemon curd and one with sugar and lime juice. I love pancakes.

always on kinect? I've only used kinect once (in Dance Central, I think), but it couldn't even do basic menu navigation without a lot of frustration so I'm not keen on the idea of this at all.

luckily he has more money than the beegees.

Isn't Uncharted basically an update of Tomb Raider anyway, so it's only fair if they implement a few of the ideas in the reboot.

They'd already built a lot of momentum which they've now lost, and will not get it back in septemeber when new consoles and the xmas AAA games will be centre stage. Anyway, if the marketing for origins was anything to go by I could have subbed them by sticking my had down the back of my sofa. Everyone was saying Nintendo have improved third party relations a lot, but you never know how much of that is hot air as everyone seems really positive before consoles come out and then mess them over and blame them for any of their own failings.

I understand Ubisoft's decision to make Rayman Legends multiplatform, though I am disappointed as I think it would have helped to sell Wii Us, which it unfortunately needs help with. What I don't understand is why they had to delay the Wii U launch to make it simultaneous with the PS3/360? I actually think it will lower sales. Wii U owners are starved of games at the moment, so people who are only really on the fence would have bought it just to have something to play. Waiting to the end of the year there will be more games, so less keen buyers can look elsewhere. There will also be all the noise of the new sony and MS consoles so he game is going to end up being a blip on the radar when it comes in september. I'm kind of annoyed if I think about it.

ooh. thanks for letting me know. I basically took it completely off my radar for that reason alone so I'll have a look in to it now

I actually liked honey to the bee...

I finished Professor Layton and the Last Spectre. I really enjoyed it and got slightly emotional at the ending which is a bit dorktastic, but whatever. I got all the picarats (thanks to excessive use of save/reload) but this was the first of the games I ended with some of my coins used. 5 of them used about 10 hours in but I didn't want to restart and they just stared at me for the rest of the game which slightly spoiled things :/ The extras were enjoyable, more so than the tea making one that stands out but overall not much has changed at all with the series, though that doesn't bother me. I can't decide if I should play a different type of game now or go straight on to Miracle Mask. I'm having a go at London Life while I decide but I certainly won't be putting in the 100hrs+ you can apparently get out of it.

I just don't think I could enjoy a game where characters perma-die. I collect everything and use nothing - I hate even using health potions in normal games so the prospect of losing characters I find stressful just thinking about it now.

I have a nokia phone, so i don't know if that's all it's available on at the moment. but to force update: 1. connect your phone to your PC and load up Zune software 2. go to phone>sync options>updates. If it updates, great! otherwise, 3. click update and disconnect your computer from the internet*. it will say checking for updates, then eventually update available (can take several minutes), reconnect to internet and continue with update. *immediately after clicking update, or wait a few seconds, it's different for different people. You may have to try this several times, and may get messages "your phone's up to date", "can't check for updates" etc. I find it works best if I check both options in the phone's check for updates options, and also put the phone in flight mode. Also, I had to go through this three times, once was a nokia update, then an intermediate update, and finally the 7.10.8858.136 update, which is the 7.8 update. it's the 8858 that is the important bit. I stared out on 8773. Good luck! I must have done it about 30 times.

maybe they're automatically censored by the commenting system, or the poster is worried they will be?

Forced an update to 7.8 today as my phone never seems to want to update of its own accord. I like the resizeable tiles a lot but it will take me a while to get them how I like them. I really do like my windows phone, but it is rubbish that whenever anyone mentions a new app or game it is never on windows phone. I don't have ea problem with not having 500m apps as most of them are complete guff but I do feel I miss out by not having major ones. I wish MS would pay developers to port their apps, as it seems to be the only real sticking point for most people.

maybe it was something Microsoft thought about and maybe even researched, so that is where the rumours come from, but they may not actually be doing it. Hopefully.

It would be really expensive to develop and the only game Nintendo seem to spend serious money developing is Zelda. Having said that, I don't think Zelda actually sells that much compared to Nintendo's other franchises so maybe if they spent that money developing a home pokemon game they'd more likely get a better return on their investment. Or maybe they were waiting until they had a console with robust online. It could certainly be a system seller if they need one for the Wii U

Bought myself a bracelet. It's a woman's one so I hope it fits. and a pen, which I really don't need but kind of love.

ugh. I hate autoplaying videos. I do think they've neutralised the question a bit which is a good thing. If they could get rid of the 'independent' as well that would be even better.

What are you listening to now?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8C9E5yviZQ Just heard this on TV. May have to dig out my Garbage CDs. edit: Can't believe it's over 15 years old! Hasn't aged a day. -
Yep, we use bake here, and that's what I guessed FDS meant, as I read a lot of American recipes. We use casserole to mean to basically a fancy stew, e.g. coq au vin. Bakes are a lot less wet. But I think Dean just made a sauce and stirred it in to the pasta didn't mention anything about putting anything except the chicken in the oven. Dean, by quoting the frozen chicken bit, it makes it sound like you baked the chicken from frozen? You shouldn't do that, it's not very safe! If you defrosted it, which I hope you did, then you could have fried it. It's quicker and tastier.
-
i guess he is, but what you cooked does not sound like a casserole to me? Also, if you were frying everything anyway, why'd you bother baking the chicken first and not just fry it from raw too?
-
went to wagamama today. It's the first time we'd been for breakfast, but apparently they'd stopped doing a couple of months ago but had not bothered telling head office to update the website. So I ended up having a fried, breaded chicken curry at 10am. Not what I'd normally be having but found it surprisingly OK to eat at that time.

I'm currently playing Professor Layton and the Spectre's Call. They're not games I think about too often so I forget how much I love them until I play them. I got the US version to get the London Life RPG that's not on the EU version, though I'm probably not playing that until after the main game. Have to say I don't mind the US Luke voice actor that everyone seems to complain about, it's a little flat but a lot less grating. Can't wait to get on to the next one and see how the jump to 3D worked out. I'm also playing ACIII on the Wii U. I only got it today, so have played about 3 hours, but I'm loving this one too. Just switching to these two games has really reinvigorated my gaming and I'm having a really great time playing which I haven't in a while, so I'm really happy.
