It may not be unrelated.

Are any of these third party accessories officially authorised? Nintendo may argue using them would void your warranty as you've not followed manufacturer's instructions which will almost certainly say to only use officially licensed accessories.

I'm picking up a 120cm (4 foot) fish tank tonight and I'm going to be filtering it with a DIY aquaponics setup which will basically be a 100cm planter full of lava rock with the tank water pumped through and back. Instead of sitting it on a shelf above the tank as is usual (they tend to be fairly ugly looking setups) I'm going to set it up just behind and slightly above the tank. The tank will also be planted and I'm hoping to have some emergent plants to bridge the gap and make it all look like one natural(ish) ecosystem. It's going to be a little while before I can set it up but I'm quite excited as I love the ideas and planning stage.

I don't even like mead, but I kind of want to make that sarsaparilla one after watching that. Is green glass a bad sign?

I hope (unrealistically) that they will do some sort of bundle sale with the game and DLC when when the Octo update comes out. Even if they don't I think I will probably be buying it then.

Yeah, while people here have heard of Renault, they have not heard of the Wind, so I've been met with a lot of blank looks.

So I can commute to my new job that starts Monday.
-
It's also a bit rude when they just put the price up.

That reminds me, I did end up buying a knife for whittling, but I decided to go for a folding one instead of the morakniv, even though I prefer those. I thought a folding one was safer when it's stored. I've cut a bit of wood with it and was surprised how smoothly it went through. Now I need to get some dry wood to try and get a feel for it and something to sharpen the blade back up.

It is - the "new" means it has the faster processor and extra RAM which the New 2DSXL does, and the 2DS doesn't. There current line up is:- 2DS New 2DS XL New 3DS New 3DS XL Though I'm not convinced they're making either of the 3D ones anymore.
-
I don't think we'll get a refresh having recently released the premium 3D-less clam shell version (2DS XL) to go with the budget 2DS. That's why they've said they'll continue to support it but the games will drop off in budget and price quite quickly from Nintendo and be left with 3rd party support by next year. 3DS is essentially dead to them, it's smartphone and Switch from now on.

yes, hello both of you. Welcome

Yay. I've finished my first (only?) game of 2018. Golf Story. I don't think I fully got to grips with it - the ball rarely went exactly where I expected it.I assume the game takes into account how bad you are because the opponents were equally dreadful. Still, I enjoyed myself, and rarely felt frustrated.

Well, I'll look forward to that then. I have a load of money in my PSN wallet for some unremembered reason and this was reduced. At least with The Last Guardian I know the potential for disappointment. Speaking of disappointments, I should probably get back to Shadow of The Colossus.
-
It was reduced to £3.99 on the eShop, which is cheap for the Switch version. Not quite sure if I can find any logic as to how, why and when games come on and go off sale in the eShop, you need to keep a regular eye on it.

All the bargain games except Halo 4 on the 360 had sold out by the time I went back today. boo
-
That's potentially interesting, though not for me, I don't thnk.

I was hoping to get Steep for £10, but they didn't have it. They did have this, new for £2.50 on PS4. I've not played the first one, but for that price I could hardly say no. They also had Prey for a fiver but I'm not sure about getting that.

slightly nervous about tonight's announcement, what do you guys think it is?
-
wow, I'm starting to feel quite pleased with myself/smug about putting mine on perfectly first go. I've found these things a nightmare on phones which is why I wasn't going to bother with one on my Switch. Though My Switch one was glass and I've only used plastic ones before so maybe I'll try a glass one on my next phone.

The airplant on the right had a dead flower stem on it when my parents bought it for me, not realising they only flower once they felt bad when they found out, but I was happy enough as I knew it meant it was gong to have pups and they were too once they say them appear. They're finally getting near the stage when I can remove them as I don't want a clump though I'm slightly nervous I'll damage them. The one on the left is the original I bought September 2016 from the post above. The flower spike appeared in the last week or so. It will be the first one I've seen flower and can't wait to see what colour it will be. Hopefully not red though.

wow. I still have that with a vague intention of giving it a go, and I'm glad you got through it but I think I'll be giving it a miss after reading that.

That's one I was looking at, but this appealed to me being hand made in Britain, but it's not got reviews yet as it's new so I'll probably pick that up when it starts getting into peoples hands - assuming they're good. I just wanted something cheap and cheerful so get me up and running to give me time to make a full decision and the pro ject one is a consideration for long term use too dear for a stop gap. In fact it's probably what I'll get if the Tisbury one doesn't pan out.
-
yes, well... I have no answer to that other than I've been lucky enough not to have an issue so screw everyone else.
