  1. RDR 2 was my first rockstar game, and I guess I had too high expectations but the only thing I found better than other games I've played was the graphics. I've been wanting to play it on the TV and find it bonkers you can't use the pro controller. Ive never really got into handhheld mode I guess I should take advantage especially as pokemon would suit it better than many games.
  2. while I'm not doing anything illicit online and I actually find it quite convenient that all the info you need is there in one place when you need it, it just makes me feel a bit dirty the way everything is collected about you but more they way these big companies seem so deceptive/evasive about what they have on you and what they do with it. It always seems to be more, and worse than what they admit to. honestly they way i half heartedly go about it I;;m probably just making my life harder for myself without truly going under the radar but I'm getting increasingly disillusioned with most aspects of the modern world and where it's headed I feel like I have to do something even if it is a futile effort.
  3. Do you think you'll move more over to digital now you have the tablet or do you think that you'll keep a mix of traditional media in there.
  4. I'm at the point in RDR 2 where I've completed the epilogue and wondering how much longer to do other stuff such as legendary animals etc as now the story is over the niggles seem that much more pronounced and I hate that the experience in open world games just sort of peters out. I'm a bit into pokemon lets go too and am in the city just after going through the caves? The problem with games where you select a party is I have no idea which I should have in there and always feel like I'm wasting levelling up on party members I won''t need. plus I assume I'm just bad at it but capturing the pokemon seems completely random, and I still haven't worked out if you can actually aim your throw when things are moving around. I'll get through the game but I'm not sure pokemon is the franchise for me which is a shame because I really feel like I'm this close to loving it but just bounce off it for some reason.
  5. that was one of the most disappointing films I recall watching after seeing memess, previous work of the people involved etc. so I don;t know how excited to get for this. eta: Missed an opportunity to recommend Toast of London which stars Matt Berry not just as a side character as he often is. and he doesn't wear thin in it as you may worry?
  6. I always think of Link#s Awakening as my favourite Zelda, but I don't know how I feel about a remake. It will probably be full priced knowing Nintendo for what is a relatively short and not new experience.I really like the art style but i don't know if that's enough. They didn't even hint at new content
  7. I'll have a look next time I'm playing - I feel like I've been missing out on a whole new world of immersion, possibly. or not. I don't know but I do want to hear something out of it.t
  8. Not the Russian version, but since I'm trying to get along with Duck Duck Go instead of Google this is the sort of nonsense I have to put up with. Just need to decide if I should play this or Assassin's Creed Origins first.
  9. What do you think of this full blown remake of link's awakening as opposed to the previous upgrades other games in the series have received (Wind Waker, , he famous 3d N64 one that the name escapes me and majoras mask). Do you think any more should go ahead or do you think it's enough for now.
  10. i don't think I've ever heard anything come out of that since I'm not sure i knew it had one... What games make good use of it, and how?
  11. It fits in well there. Looks like a good compromise.
  12. How do you find the difference between tablet drawing and pen(cil) and paper? Does it make much difference?
  13. I'm yet to draw a face I'm happy with. I think it's because I do it with hard lines and they are not really there on the face, especially about the nose, but then the other option is shading and that's not something I could do competently either. Had another go at crocheting. The granny square wonked when I got to the end of each round (the north west quadrant in the photo) so the pattern is off but I'm pleased with how square and flat it turned out. I don't think I'm far off getting that right. Very happy with the coaster. I find it hard keeping the yarn wrapped around my finger and keeping a consistent tension - mostly it's too tight and I think the coaster is noticeably tighter than the square and it makes it harder to do everything so that's what I'll be working on next - I want that to be second nature so I can concentrate on the patterns. It's like when you start out driving and concentrating on the gear changes gets in the way of the actual driving so I think I'll just practise some straight lines of stitches for a bit.
  14. Are you drawing them from a source?
  15. What are Japanese games like in general for turning up on PC? I don't really associate Japan and PC gaming but know very little about either.
  16. Well if there's officially no switch version they've been a total cock tease with that haven;'t they.
  17. Think i fixed it. the forum wasn't loading properly before so I assumed it was that.
  18. That's quite the list. Which was you favourite game on there?
  19. We buy one new bauble for the tree each year but I made it this year. It's the first thing I've ever crocheted so it's a bit wonky/charmingly handmade, but I've tried so many times before just to crochet in a straight line and messed up and just unravelling it and I've had false starts with a number of crafts/arts over the years so am pleased I managed to finish it and it looks nice on the tree so yay me. Also, I know I didn't draw it, but I did make it. I don't know if there's enough making of stuff to warrant its own thread?
  20. Which adblocker gets rid of those?
  21. I'm intrigued enough by the xenoblade games to buy them but keep hearing enough things about them to never actually want to give them a go. My lack of saves looks stupid when I look back at it now but previously I've spoiled game flow by saving too often and then never going back to those saves anyway so I thought I'd try to save less so I guess I need to strike a balance.
  22. @TheMightyEthan it was from the 4th of December, it was about 43%. I'm now on about 53% and maybe 1 or 1.5 chapters further along. I couldn't go back that far but I did think about it. I'd only been saving manually when I thought I was coming up to some sort of decision but I guess they never made much difference but the saving is a bit clunky. I don't know why it doesn't just keep the last 2 or 3 autosaves or at least when you die give the option to start from last autosave or carry on. I'm sure I've had games that do that before now.
  23. I don't know if it's because I;m in the EU then, but literally any website you go to has a popup telling you to accept their cookies and tracking etc. some it's a bar at the top/bottom so you can just ignore it if you're only reading one page, but often it it a massive overlay right in the middle with the page greyed out and unscrollable so you literally cannot ignore it. If you've just searched something like "location of best horse RDR2" and you click through to this: it's a bit annoying. I don't want to just accept everything and while that kotaku one isn't bad as you can get rid in 3 clicks some websites you have to scroll through the whole privacy policy just to find out you cannot manage setting on their website only through your own browser behaviour and third party websites like adchoices. If you only want to read a couple of lines of text or see one picture it's just not worth it. On a similar note, I've always had in mind to reject 3rd party cookies, and I think most browsers reject them as default, but now you get a warning when you go on many websites that because you reject 3rd party cookies your choices will not be remembered. You need to enable tracking so they know not to track you but that opens you up to other sites tracking you without you realising. that also means you often have to go through the same rigmarole each time you visit the same site. It's genuinely got to the point where it has hampered my use of the internet.
  24. I just don't go through them anymore, and on a similar note any sites I can't easily manage cookies I don't bother with. I've literally spend minutes in the past clicking around in circles for sites I've wanted to use so if it's just a click through from the search page I go straight back and try another that doesn't try to confuse me into accepting their terms.
  25. Shame you're not in the UK as they're selling them for £25 in some places if you're lucky enough to find one. Kind of shows they're a bit poo though and/or massively unpopular, as I've not seen them do anything like that with the Nintendo equivalents.
