  1. Wow, you can get anything at the supermarket these days.
  2. If you were about to let a tramp look after your baby, you may need to check the rest out
  3. Consumer stupidity is a limitless well that most companies take a sip from. Some happily throw the customer in their to drown.
  4. Church signs Surely they must know what they're doing.
  5. Someone wants to use my donkey photo on their religious fb page & blog. I like the idea of someone using my photo but not as religious propaganda. WWJD? What would YOU do?

I agree with Dean. I'd say no. I wouldn't even bother explaining why. Make sure you keep an eye on them in case they use it anyway. :)

I don't know if I'd say no straight out. See what context they want to use it in first, even if it is a religious blog, its use may be entirely benign.

I'm kind of surprised they actually asked in the first place.

  6. Thanks for clearing all that up, TME. (With my demonstrably limited knowledge) it seems to make sense that the Government would block that then.
  7. yikes, think I may make a concerted effort on my backlog before I start xenoblade then. Just started AC:Brotherhood. I remember liking the controls for the previous games, but having just come from fable iii they seem really convoluted, and I have to keep looking at the marionette(?) in the corner. Hopefully they'll sink in so I don't keep getting pulled out of the flow by it. So far I hate the cannons, they are soo slow to move and then reload so I hope they don't appear too often. That all sounds like a bit of a downer though so I should say I'm enjoying it.
  8. I missed that part, I assumed there was a free alternative in Texas like in all the other states that passed an ID requirement. Yeah, that could definitely be an unconstitutional poll tax on top of the discrimination claims (states can't charge people to vote). All the IDs they accept are "state" IDs though. Stuff like driver's license, military ID, concealed-carry license, passport, etc. sorry, not sure how it works in the US, by State ID card I meant a generic identity card which is just to identify who you are and that you're a resident of that state and not for a specific thing like gun ownership/driving. Seems like you'd have to pay for all the other ones you mentioned which is why I thought there may be a generic identity card that you could apply for for free. I know they wanted to introduce one to the UK a few years ago and there was an absolute stink over it, lots of civil liberty groups up in arms, and other people about the expense of it running into the billions. Only got canned after we wasted a fortune.
  9. I saw that in the GAME I was in today* and was so tempted - but I know I wouldn't actually get around to selling it/my old one and would just sit there until it was worthless. Still... it's SO CHEAP!!! *I went to check how much money was on my gift card I'd been carrying about in my wallet for nearly a year with an eye to using it before they collapsed. Turned out it was empty. I remember going in their a lot and trying to find something that wasn't a complete rip off. I don't remember how, but I must have succeeded.
  10. we have that tax in Wales - where I work I would say it has cut bag usage by about 90%. I think it's a great idea, it's only 5p if you do need one, so not prohibitive, but it's just that it makes people think if they actually need one, and usually they don't. It used to really annoy me when people would come in with 3 bags from different shops, all with only one item in each and they'd still take another bag from us. Now all 4 of those items will be in one bag, and that was probably brought from home, so you have saved 3 or 4 bags just for that one shopper. As for supermarkets, usually if you're loading the conveyor belt at one end and you're on your own the cashier will offer to bag the items as they're scanning them. The only time there is a bagger is when the local scout group, army cadets etc. has a child at each till and it is to get a donation. It's a complete nightmare because they do not know how to pack properly and even if you give a donation you still feel bad telling them to stay the hell away from your stuff. As for having stuff carried out for you... why?! We just put the bags back in the trolley and push that to the cars, if you can push the food around the shop why can't you make it the extra 30m to the car?. Does they guy carrying it out for you expect a tip? It just seems like the most unnecessary job in history. Maybe it's some sort of weird hangover from when shops used to pick the goods from the shelves for you?
  11. it says in the article you'd have to pay for the voter id. I can't believe they could get away with placing a financial barrier between voter and their right to vote. It doesn't mention a state id though. Are they free to obtain?
  12. If you traded in ME3 you could probably buy the business!
  13. I'm breaking up the ME3/Journey love-in with the exciting news I've finished Fable III. I enjoyed it more than people led me to believe I would though I think it was even more glitchy than the second. I'll be moving on to another bang up to date title next: AC: Brotherhood.
  14. Song is pretty catchy, and the video cute and pretty funny at the end.
  15. Now it makes sense that you kill both sides.
  16. this android sale is driving me mad - I want to buy stuff ready for when I get my tablet, but all i have linked to my account is a crummy old phone and it won't let me buy anything that's not compatible with that phone, which is pretty much everything.
  17. christ, they can't even have a decent fire sale, no wonder they're doomed.
  18. Hideki Konno on blue shells in Mario Kart: "I believe that Mario Kart is enjoyed by a wide range of players, including both new and veteran gamers. Ideally, we would like to allow players of different experience levels to play Mario Kart together. We don't want to create a game in which more experienced players will always win; we want to create a game in which when less experienced players are lucky, they can win too sometimes. That's why we use items to add an element of chance to the game. I think it's fun to play Mario Kart as if you were checking your horoscope. Even if your luck isn't good today, it might turn around tomorrow if you keep trying." So what do you think of that? I guess if you're pants it's no fun being last in every race, and you are soon going to lose interest, but is it unfair for a racing game not to be based on skill?
  19. Brazil has overtaken the UK as the world's sixth largest economy. Wonder how long we'll still be in the top ten?
  20. So, what launch game(s)/console features would you guys need to make the WiiU a day one purchase? (assuming the price is reasonable) FWIW, all I need for a day one purchase is a release date. Short of a serious manufacturing fault being announced I can't imagine anything that would make me not want to buy it.
  21. I wonder if they do international shipping. apparently real.
  22. What's this Kony 2012, invisible Children thing going around?

I hate it when people break into my house and feed my dog mushrooms at gunpoint. Especially when I'm fappin' - what am I supposed to do? Stop? pfft... That's not how you break records! That's not how you get into the Faplympics!
