  1. I think it is really bad that anyone should be baptised without consent, including babies and dead people. Like Romney posthumously baptising his staunchly atheist father in law, if you couldn't convince him in life it seems treacherous to go against his wishes. If you want to have yourself baptised, that is your choice, but something so important should not be undertaken without the person's permission. Here's some redress. You can convert dead mormons to homosexuality. http://alldeadmormonsarenowgay.com/
  2. oops. I bought a £35 PSN card so I could get some games on PSN that are reduced until the end of today, added it and ended up with £63 total. Really don't remember buying the last one as games are usually cheaper on LIVE so I usually get download games on that. Anyway the games I bought were: Hamilton's great adventure, Tales from space: about a blob, and hyperballoid. Any PSN exclusives worth getting to use a bit of my cash up? Will probably be getting journey but not sure what else.
  3. I agree with you, I was saying I didn't really understand Dean's point. If you live in a country like the UK which has a lot of government support you can use private companies for a lot of it if you're rich enough but you're still paying for the public stuff so it doesn't matter if you're completely against government support or not. I personally am for it in principle, I just think they make a right hash of it in practice. edit: oops, perhaps I shouldn't have had dinner before posting the reply I wrote, whish was aimed at TME
  4. the problem with that is that even if you don't use the services you're still paying for them.
  5. I really like that programme. It does help that I have a massive crush on Giles Coren. Sue Perkins does a baking competition show with Mel Giedroyc which is genuinely awesome as well. Have a search for great british bake off (and add squirrel to get a true sense of what it means to be british). They are my favourite comedy duo I wish they were on TV more, their old show Light Lunch was my favourite TV show ever.
  6. thanks, now I just need to wait until I do something stupid to test it out. Shouldn't be long.
  7. it makes it sound like they go house to house with cookies and coat hangers.
  8. As long as he doesn't join us down there, I'm happy.
  9. SO what that's basically saying is that even by AMerican standards he's over-religious for a presidential candidate so should tone down the bible bashing until he gets into power and can wreak havoc on the lives of decent people that don't conform to his religious views.
  10. I notice when I'm writing a reply it says 'autosaved', sometimes/often I do something stupid like click a link and when I click back my text is gone, does the autosave actually save your text anywhere so you can recover it? If not what is it actually doing? Thankoos
  11. I 100% completed Stacking yesterday. It was quite easy (which is really saying something as I am pants at gaming) but I liked the gameplay. The cutesy style grated after a while as it did ilomilo - I think the only one that really pulls it off with genuine charm is Little Big Planet. Did anyone play the hobo dlc? I only paid 600 points for the game so 400 for a quarter more seems steep. Oh and I don't know if I missed something or am over-thinking it, but the cut scene style was of a silent movie, but was staged as a play? It kind of bugged me.
  12. You probably just make British pancakes then. Unless you spread the batter around to make it very thin? If you just tip it around the frying pan using gravity they won't be thin enough to be crepes, at least not European crepes, they may have a different meaning in the US.
  13. I guess they'd be better off just cancelling it, but then they'd lose the sale, so they aren't going to do that.
  14. I had sugar and orange juice on mine. Crepes aren't quiet the same as our pancakes. crepes are bigger and thinner and use a special little tool (like a broom without bristles) to spread the batter over a special hotplate, which is round and doesn't have edges. Plus they're massive, about 40cm in diameter rather than 20cm of our normal pancakes.
  15. cheese and asparagus is nice savoury topping, so's cheese and peperoni. Basically anything with cheese. mmm, cheese...
  16. I guess since no money has changed hands, there's no contract yet so they don't legally have to do anything. It's just morally repugnant.
  17. Why would you wait? Aren't you using your bike at the moment. I'd always do it asap so it's ready for when you want it.
  18. positive reinforcement. You're a beautiful and unique snowflake, Chew, and we don't want you to melt. snow joke.
  19. wow, nice to see GAME are doing everything they can to mitigate the problems they're having. It's almost like they've given up.
  20. I watched the fantastic mr. fox last night. I really enjoyed it, but then I've never not liked a Wes Anderson film. His style really appeals to me, and I thought it translated well in to an animated film.
  21. Alice: Madness Returns, and Rayman Origins, both for ps3. They were on offer (new) 2 for £25 and I had a 10% voucher so only £11.25 each. Bargain
  22. I read it more as god doesn't send you to hell, rather you chose hell through your own actions.
  23. That PDF on homosexuality is just as misguided as I expected form a pamphlet that links to exodus international and goes to show that the science and research that Christians use can never really be called such as it is always undertaken with an agenda. It also goes to show just how many problems there are with taking the Bible at face value, as there has been so much human meddling in it from the people that wrote it in the first place, the people who chose what went in there and the numerous translations and retranslations even if it started as the word of God it now has the distinct murk of the hand of man. Here's a translation for when you're not looking to be filled with hate.
  24. ...think of all those extra holes...
  25. OMFG, I LOVE NINTENDO!!!1!!* *I finished Skyward Sword. I'd started to think Assassin's Creed was my joint favourite series but it has to be Zelda. I think AC is as fun to play but I just don't get the same warm fuzzy feeling I get from Zelda games. I hate to say it but I think that may be the "Nintendo magic". Or me being a fanboy.
