I addressed that in my post but to be clear, if you (by that I mean he) feel that way make a post about it on your blog where you can form your opinion and provide context. Don't post a tweet that makes you look like an absolute arsehole and back it up by tweeting things that just look worse and then making a blog post that doesn't actually clarify your position or apologise. Treading on eggshells is a very real problem worthy of discussion. Lots of people with good intentions get themselves into trouble and get attacked for it and it makes it difficult to get the discussion into the general public and normalise the issue because people fear saying the wrong thing. He's just reinforcing why people out there are hyper sensitive though by being completely insensitive himself.

it will help if you don't want to find chicks with dicks.
  3. omg, someone just donated 70,000 bells to by bridge building project! I'd only put in 8,000 myself!

A random person? Nice. I got my approval rating to 100% today so tomorrow I should probably be able to start on projects. First one on the list is definitely the bridge.

yeah, just some random I added from another forum. Bridge is definitely best option. I'll save the others for when my house is maxed out.

The thing I find weird is they usually come across as the reasoned and level-headed side of the online gaming community. I guess he was trying to be funny on twitter? I wouldn't touch that as a topic for comedy unless I was deeply in the community and known to be by the world at large. even then... talk about a minefield. He's not actually insulting trans people, it sounds like he meant people who use the term rather than trans people. Sometimes the limits on there may mangle your meaning a bit but it just seems completely off tangent and unnecessary to bring up at all. I don't even get his point really though? I guess it sounds a bit PC-brigade and maybe the meaning isn't so well know to the population at large but it's an important word for your vocabulary when you're talking about that subject. What's the alternatives? Gay/straight are neutral terms but for trans issues, what else is there? " are you trans or normal?" would go down a storm.
  5. LOL at 98,000 being a gigantic loan. You ain't seen nothing yet. Luckily there is no interest and no advantage paying it off piecemeal. Keep your money until you have enough to pay it off in full in case you want to buy other expensive things in the meantime. If you water 30 flowers you will trigger the garden centre to open which sells flower seeds and saplings (better to plant fruit though as saplings don't bear fruit), but I don't know how I got to 100% approval rating. I was at 28% didn't do anything extra but next time I asked it was 100%. It will take you a while to work on citizen satisfaction as that needs things like all the shops being open and donating to your museum. edit: speaking of:
  6. oh. If you keep asking for advice from Isabelle in the town hall she will talk to you about fish and bugs, ask about fish then ask for more advice and whe will give you a fishing rod
  7. This is still a great game, and the series doesn't change so much that you should feel bad about missing out. I just know you'll enjoy it
  8. Yeah, they're going mad for it on the gay gaming forum I use too. edit: awww, that's quite a nice album. Gives me warm fuzzies.
  9. -a. All clothes/accessories change daily whether you buy anything or not (i.e. they don't just fill in the sold gaps) I have yet to see shoes/socks for sale Maybe they appear after an upgrade to the shop? b. People who visit your town can see your design, and can leave their own designs. -Equipment (inc. fishing rod) appears randomly in the Nook Shop, if your shop doesn't have it at the moment you can visit a friend's town that does or just hope it is there tomorrow. -In the previous games there was no major benefit - just a model of the museum on completing the entire museum. I can't find any info on what happens in New Leaf as I guess no one has completed it yet? edit: I believe you get upgrades as you add more to the collection. A second floor (for your own displays) and a gift shop (which may sell upgraded tools). Also, it's not long before you start to get duplicate fossils so you can still sell one or two fossils a day once you've got a few in the museum. Also, if it's because you want to make money the island is a goldmine which should be open in a couple of days for you. -You can make you rooms bigger and add more rooms/floors. It works the same way as building your house did. Once you pay off one loan, Nook will offer an upgrade which will be completed next day and you then have to pay of the new loan.
  10. the oracle games are reduced in price at the moment (until the 20th of this month) to celebrate their launch so if you want them now is a good time to grab them. edit: The best tip to make your day to day life so much easier is left and right on the d-pad scrolls through your equipment (net, fishing rod, spade etc.) and down to put it away (so you can shake trees, for example) all without going into your pocket. It saves so much hassle.

    Apple

    what's the tube thing?
  12. It has sound. It is good.
  13. ugh. so I've been reading a few places with people having problems with their connections. I had someone in my village for quite a while All was going well. He gave me cherries and I planted some. Then someone else arrived and I planted the rest of the cherries. The new guy gave me some apples I shook all the trees and got some 3 pieces of furniture. Then I got an error and when it popped me back in my town the apples had gone, a 5,000 bell fossil I'd posted in the flea market had been sold, but the money didn't turn up and all my furniture I'd collected and sold at inflated prices (re-tell wants furniture today) was gone. Nightmare. Seems when the connection is lost it goes back to the last save (which happens automatically when the second person arrived). It didn't reset the software so I don't know why it couldn't have kept the changes
  14. The dungeons won't be reinstated because they were reused in other Zelda games. Boo.
  15. If anyone has the game and wants to add me I'm 3437-3195-3803 and called Joe. I've got peaches in my town. Don't forget to tell me if you add me so I can add you too.
  16. woo. I'm playing animal crossing today. Reset it a couple of times to get a good town layout but ended up with peaches. I couldn't face starting again so that is what I'm stuck with Hopefully get some other fruits in soon and start replacing my natives. Loving it so far. It's got a good mix of the familiar and the new and I was wandering around my town with a big stupid grin on my face. I ended up calling my town Koholint and I'm a girl character named Marin. I'm glad I went with a girl as she is super cute and When I went in to able sisters she could wear trousers so I'm hoping I can wear that cool link outfit they showed if I ever work out how to find it.
  17. So you know it's a different player. If they were both in green the video would be a harrowing glimpse into the breakdown of Link's sanity.
  18. it also means all the people outside the 21 countries supported at launch are effed up the a. That includes a lot of EU countries and Japan.
  19. Nothing really new in here, but it was interesting to read that the reason the boat was slow in the GC version was because otherwise you'd have got the the end of the loaded area before they could load the new area in. They can load the whole ocean in to the Wii U's memory at once so the speed now must be purely a design choice. They've also tweaked the triforce collection at the end of the game and there some cryptic bit linked to that about the ending being more satisfying instead of so abruptly.
  20. Now that the consoles are announced, where the buzz of the audience seems to help build excitement for the product do you think Nintendo Direct little and often approach to announcements is better? When it's just for games the concentration on information and not on presentation is a good thing in my opinion, and you never know it may even encourage the spread of game releases throughout the year if there is no target date for releasing info on them.
  21. Did anyone manage to get to the Best Buy E3 demos? I think that was a pretty great idea of Nintendo's.
  22. every non-gaming news outlet I've heard mention it, saying the PS4 and and XBone have been launched this week.
  23. well that shows that e3 actually made a difference - the only strange thing is the xbox was already looking pants before e3 so it must have really just hammered it home for the xbox fans.
  24. omg. That puppy grumping noise is the cutest thing ever. It's a great decision to get a companion for Parker. They will absolutely love each others company and I think are a lot happier in a pair. here's our old pair of bassets, they were together all his life: and a very small photo with the (also dead now ) cat and here's our current dogs - they've been together since the Nelly (the roan) was born (10 years now).
  25. has there been any decent "intent to buy" polls from after the presentation anywhere? I know ours is a landslide, but TCP (I think) said his local store had overwhelming support for xbox one and amazons preorders are heavily favouring MS as well (though I think I read that pre-E3).
