I don't remember the name being mentioned before, but this was on Nintendo's own website. What do you think of it? It's only an oblique connection to the previous game, both being subtitled "a link..." no mention of a 2 or "to the past"

many of the games featured tablet/smartphone apps to assist people playing on the consoles. Has there been any mention of whether any of these apps will be made available on the vita, maybe via playstation mobile?

I would say we are in the same boat. but there is a very much bigger multiplayer ship steaming off into the distance.

Maybe I;m just not seeing it but I don' even think the jump is as big a difference as OoT to OoT3D was. Maybe it's because it's cel shaded. Might just be that I;m a bit bitter that Ninty seemed to treat that as the highlight of the direct when it should have been a passing note.

Playing it safe would be Zelda, proper new-ideas 3D mario, starfox game etc. I... don't know what this was other than absolutely depressing feeling of deja vu from all the other exact same directs they've done for the last year. Even the 2 new games (3D mario and Donkey Kong ffs) do not look or feel new at all.

ffs Nintendo. 2014, 2014, 2014. I guessed when I bought my Wii U it wouldn't have great 3rd party support but I didn't realise it would be so FUCKING SHIT from Nintendo. When I saw that splash of all their franchises I actually managed to get excited for one second, then they just all appeared in SSB. Obviously they remember they exist so put them in their own god damned games. Absolutely no mention of the new Zelda game. Just WWHD - I loved that game but this is not selling systems. It's not even selling me. I'm sure in the flesh it looks good, but in these videos it doesn't look any better than the version I have sitting upstairs with my gamecube and they've elready said it's a packaged retail game. It needs to be a £10 download. Zelda U must be abolutely years off and at this rate it won't have a bigger audience than the 3.5 million mugs that were hoping for some good news today. Even the bloody 3D mario was not the right thing at all. Where was the wow from it that Galaxy supplied? It looks less impressive than the wii 3D games and is basically a 3D version of the side scrolling platformers they've been absolutely bombarding us with. A new suit is not brand new next gen must buy gameplay. I've actually got a knot in my stomach - I don't know if it is disappointment, regret, anger... all I know is I'm sick of defending Nintendo to my own heart and have flat out given up on defending them to anyone else. How can I in good conscience?

I don't know why but I love it at 3.30 that he closes the door to the car as he passes it. it's the extra touches like that that I'd like to see in the next gen.

you can argue shades of grey all you want over which offer better value* but the internet sees arguments in black and white and PS+ and GOLD are now the same colour. *I think PS+ has the best balance of free vs. paid still, for what it's worth. But the multiplayer thing is a massive blow, being as it was pretty much the biggest and easiest to explain, most black and white PS3 USP.

but now that gold offers free games (albeit that offer doesn't seem as good as Sony's) the are basically supplying the same offer at free and at paid levels in the eyes of the average consumer, so they are not distinguished against MS now. Not a problem if you already see the value in PSPlus but it no longer has that bullet point to encourage people to their side instead of MS's.

Definitely PS4. I've got so many current gen games to get through I know if I buy it at launch they will all get abandoned, so even though I am tempted to buy it straight away (and there is certainly a reasonable chance I will crumble in my resolve) I plan to wait for the slim version and exhaust the current gen first.

from Mister Jack's link, what does "Paywall for Xbox One." mean? Does it just mean that most functionality will be reserved for GOLD users (as is currently the case)? It will be interesting to see how many of these features will need a subscription. Maybe "cloud features" are a GOLD service, so for example, if you buy a digital download game you can redownload it as a silver user, but only gold users can download games that were originally purchased on disc. Silver users may have to keep the disc if they want to reinstall (which will certainly be an issue on a 500gb HDD). Maybe downloading games on another person's xbox will be for gold users only too as a cloud service. Will all this TV guide stuff be for gold users only? It certainly feels like something that would be GOLD on the current xbox. I'll be interested to see where they make the split.

maybe they're also worried the multi-platorm games are looking better on the PS4 as well so don't want them seen side by side? since it seems PS4 is more powerful and has more RAM available to games.it could be that it's easy for the unoptimised stuff that's ready for E3 will show up the differences more readily.

It would be cool if they adapted the DS Ni No Kuni game and gave it an international release - since it's already made it wouldn't need too much work. What's that?

I think the only thing that would disappoint me was if the next doctor wasn't British. Anything else can/should be up for discussion.

kind of interesting about different phrases/pronunciations in the USA. here (all 100+ questions here) I only went through the shorter one, but I would say I mostly corresponded with the North East though not that precisely.

I hope so. I've enjoyed the other ones I've played. The last of my three So Many Games games, it all registered OK so I'll be getting a code for free Animal Crossing: New Leaf "shortly after [its] European release". Hopefully that means on the same day!

Ordered these at quarter to one yesterday afternoon and they arrived just now (10 a.m.) with free delivery. I'm pretty impressed especially as I only paid £15.50 for both of them, new.

That video is really funny. I have to say I kind of love the angry residents - it's best at least that there's a mix, and you can always chase them out of town by hitting them with you net if you genuinely don't like them. but they do usually end up showing their insecurities or a softer side so there is a hook for all of them for you to like them

Anyone excited about the HD remake of Fable? I have it the original somewhere but never got around to playing it. Do you think it would seem archaic now I've played all the others?
