  1. I get that backwards compatibility is a nice thing to have, but I don't see why it's such a rage point for people. Of all the consoles that have been released over the years so few have had the feature I don't know why people seem to expect and demand it. I mean, people were actually annoyed that the wii U wasn't able to play gamecube games. Seriously?!
  2. do you think sony is concentrating too much on re-releasing old games on PSN, and adding newer games to PSN+ and not enough on new content? There's only so many times I need to hear Final Fantasy has been reduced in price again or that some DIsney PS1 game is now available to buy digitally.
  3. Vita 32GB card ~£60 I bought a class 10 (actually that new UHS class)Sandisk microSD for £17 with an adaptor from a reputable company. so the vita is over 3 times the price. That is more of a national park than a ball park. Not to mention since you have to have it, it pushes the purchase price of the console nearer to £300, which is dearer than any home console.
  4. definitely more in the weird end. NSFW, but it is art, so I dunno, you may be able to talk your way out of it, and it is not sexy. edit: don't let the first picture throw you - it's different after that. Here's some gifs that arent from that artist but kind of fit in.
  5. That reminds me, I need to finish the third one. Do you only get both versions if you buy the PS3 version, just in case they bring the vita price cut over the seas to blighty.
  6. from here. Also, I was watching this: and it says you don't use the word camp in US? You use flaming instead. I never really thought they meant the same thing so I'm a bit confused. Also, Nipples.
  7. They've announced a price drop in Japan today, so number 6 is looking quite likely if not actually at the wednesday conference. They're dropped both the wifi (previously ¥24,980/£172/$270) and 3G model (previously ¥29,980/£206/$323) to the same price of ¥19,980 in Japan – the equivalent of £137/$215. I guess dropping them both to the same price means they'll phase out one of them? it seems too soon to be updating the range with replacements. which do you thing is going?
  8. Not trolling, I'm curious as I've never played it, but what's innovative about Black Ops II?
  9. well, london life was not so great. glad I went to the effort and expense of importing that :/ On to more positive things though. I'm playing miracle mask and I'm loving the 3D. It hasn't lost any of it's charm. The models have more animations and facial expressions and I love the searching is improved a lot too I think as the cursor changes when you can interact with stuff instead of wildly tapping the screen. I've also been listening to it with my headphones, and while I've always thought the series had great music, it's really impressive quality too with the headphones on. I guess I should move them more often in general actually, even when console gaming. I did have one hairy moment when there was a horse chase that was a bit flaps so I hope there isn't too much of that sort of thing.
  10. The order to get rid of consoles? MS, Sony and lastly Nintendo. Since LIVE MS has brought nothing to the party, and the fact that they're so desperate to get rid of the games bit out of the games console tell me everything I need to know about their feelings on the medium. I think Sony for all their faults does push games to sell their hardware. They invest a lot in making exclusive games. MS just buy timed exclusives for the sole purpose of screwing over other gamers. And while Sony add the other stuff to make a complete package and compare with their competitors their focus is still clearly games - just look at the different focus of PS+ to LIVE Gold. When people think about Nintendo hardware nowadays all they seem to think is "I hate waggle". They forget about all the other innovations, and even the fact that although they do make odd hardware decisions, non of their pre-Wii consoles were underpowered. The Wii was underpowered because they decided they were chasing a losing battle. Hardcore gamers wouldn't touch a nintendo console because it's for kids, even if it had comparable power so they went for a different market. It worked - which is something a lot of people also seem to forget when they're talking about that generation, just because they weren't interested in it. Which kind of proved Nintendo made the right decision. If one of the other two dropped out of the hardware market so Nintendo was competing more directly with it's competiors and had the correspondingly bigger slice of pie to work with then I see them mkaing a powerful console because they have a much higher chance of getting a decent return on the extra investment.
  11. I'd love an ambassador programme. I was happy with the price i paid but i wouldn't say no to some free games. It would make up for the stupidity of their repurchasing of virtual console games system.
  12. Would they be able to detect/track objects that small and numerous? You only ever seem to hear people talking about the big, city-devastating/exctinction level objects.
  13. maybe they'll have vita off screen play built into the PS4 hardware so all games automatically support it?
  14. Wii Street U (great name!) is available for free download but will be chargeable in the future so get it while the getting's good as I doubt it is anything you would want to pay for. Also, Tank! Tank! Tank! is now a free download for the basic version with the limitation I think that you can play it three times a day. From the reviews that is probably more than enough but it's supposed to be good enough fun as a party game.
  15. I can't work out the shoulder buttons. It looks like they're really far to the back of the controller, and I can't see how there would be two of them.
  16. is the company that just went bankrupt making the infinity blade sequel the same one that made infinity blade? Seems kinda tacky timing.
  17. he's got the duck pout too. If it had been from above rather than below it would have been the perfect facebook profile pic.
  18. urgh, I started scrolling down when the ball melted down through the ice
  19. that's a great album, it brings back memories of Queer as Folk, which was an... interesting time in my life. anyway, what I'm listening to now
