  1. woah, there's no way the cat doesn't hate that.
  2. the pixels are quite noticeable in DS games, not too much in 3DS games. gelaskins sells skins for them which are good quality. Though I've only used them on a kindle not a 3DS XL. Though I've only If you're not in a rush for one, limited editions are often sold off quite cheap after the game they're bundled with stops being flavour of the month and I think there are a few of those coming out quite soon.
  3. If they have them on and side by side to compare, you will not even think there is a decision to be made. the extra screen size is _so_ worth it. It's more comfortable to hold too, but that is just personal opinion (held by a lot of people!).
  4. aren't PSPs supposed to be good for that? I suppose it depends what you want to emulate.
  5. What's wrong with Spain?
  6. I think it will be closer to next gen than WIi was to this gen. It's a massive leap from the Wii, but in most areas it will still lag behind the next gen MS/Sony consoles and I'm guessing as developers push those consoles and leave the PS3/360 behind, multiplats will dry up on it. As far as USPs go, although I think Miiverse is great, and (so far) unique, it's not worth buying a console for. Same as the Wii this generation, I don't think it is going to be an alternative to the new Sony/MS consoles, rather an addition. Since the N64 the only reason really to buy a NIntendo console is the Nintendo games, so I'd pretty much base any decision on how much you like them. If you don't PC game I think you'd want to get one of the alternatives else you'll miss out on all the big games everyone talks about. For me, the Nintendo consoles have enough first/second party and handful of quality third party games to justify a purchase, YMMV.
  7. That's a shame to hear about Runner 2 being a bit of a let down.
  8. Nintendo have finally lifted the time restrictions on viewing and purchasing 18 rated games on the eShop. I knew it wouldn't last for long but it's a relief all the same. They've also got sales on digital versions of retail games reduced from £40/50 down to £20/30 so not just the download only games are getting sales. It's looking quite good in there if there were a few more games it would be great.
  9. Is anyone excited about this game? I've been trying not to spoil it too much for myself but it seems to have a decent enough amount of new ideas and content to avoid accusations of just being the same game rereleased on a different format. I like that it seems easier to visit other people's villages, including strangers. I'm hoping the download is not too stupidly priced because it's open-ended I think it will benefit from being able to pop in and out while leaving a more completable game in the game slot. I've got to think of a decent name for my village as I was a bit boring last time just using the name of the village where I live.
  10. The reverse effect near the end is making my brain hurt. Lightning in a volcanic eruption. Looking fairly apocalyptic Set here.
  11. i really feel like I've bought deponia before now but can't see it anywhere.
  12. I do still have them but never managed to finish them and haven't a working gameboy to play them on. Hope they're not too stupidly priced, but who am I kidding?
  13. Has anyone used mySMS? is it just for SMS or can you instant message too? I had a bit of a mare with Skype* so am putting up with whatsapp at the moment which I don't love but is at least semi-functional. *kind if annoying it's so gimpy on windows phone since they both owned by Microsoft. No way is it a replacement for msn messenger.
  14. The first Tomb Raider was famous because her pony tail moved so I suppose people think it's interesting to see how far things have come along. Obviously not that much apparently. @ Dr. Krieger: How combat-oriented is the game? Is it mostly all-out fighting or other stuff like exploring/stealth etc.?
  15. The 3D is tragic outside so indoor gaming is the way to go on the 3DS if you leave the 3D on.
  16. Zelda OoT is reduced in the eShop at the moment. Not sure if it still will be by the time you get your console though you seem to have plenty to keep you busy either way - that's quite the hall haul.
  17. I had macaroni cheese last night. I love it so much. I've put bacon in before, but never just used bacon fat. May give that a try and see if you can freeze bacon fat next time I cook some. what do you mean dead in a bowl?
  18. I had a 3DS and now have a 3DS XL. For me the XL is streets ahead, the extra screen size makes the 3D more immersive, and I think it actually works better too with a wider "sweet spot". It's more comfortable to use as well, I don't get hand cramps on the XL when I use it for long times. If you can't find any deals on the XL, the special editions usually aren't any dearer and come with a game. Only thing to be careful of is I think on the 3DS, the game is on the SD card, not its own cartridge so will take up a fair chunk of that. Often around here when a new bundle comes out shops will have an upgrade offer when you get more for trading in an old version of the console so it may be worth checking for any deals. I think I got about £30 more for trading in that I would have for selling it.
  19. Do you think it could continue with a different character, like Assassin's creed, or do you think Drake is too linked to the franchise?
