  1. This week's chapter of My Hero Academia said that there's a "huge announcement" next week... And a production company called Toho (which animated the recent Umaru-chan series) registered a web domain for My Hero Academia just a few days ago... Hmmmmm.... This is looking pretty good!
  2. The original Hellsing series actually didn't have any nazis or nazi cats at all. It was one of those situations where they started the show too soon, caught up to the manga, and had to make up their own clunky ending because Hirano Kohta is a lazy sack of crap. The original series isn't nearly as good as the revival series, which is 100% faithful to the manga because it was actually being finished by that time. It did have some nice music, though.
  3. That's right, I forgot about that. God damn it.
  4. Why...why couldn't this be the one we got? The graphics aren't as pretty but I would have happily traded that for everything else. Just why?
  5. I wish these companies would learn that they are never going to get the CoD audience. It's never going to happen. If Battlefield can't do it, nothing will.
  6. So uh, MGO is neat and all but how do you exit back to the single player?
  7. Let's be honest with ourselves here. The AT-AT game mode fucking sucks. I played for hours and not once did I ever see the rebel team win, and I joined a lot of different games to compare teams. If I was on the empire side I always won and when I was on the rebel side I always lost. I'm sure it's POSSIBLE for the rebel team to win, but the odds are stacked so heavily against them that there's almost no point in even trying, especially when, as Mal pointed out, there are no squads or even a tagging system. There's really no way to coordinate a team attack, and this mode desperately requires exactly that. I know it's the Hoth battle and all but come on. I am also strongly against the way vehicles and especially heroes are now token pickups. I don't see why vehicles can't just be the way they always were, but never mind that for now. The real problem is that heroes are powerups now. The game used to assign hero spawns to teams at random (or possibly based on performance), and while it could be a little chaotic it also meant that everyone had a chance to play as the heroes and it was a pleasant surprise when one popped up for you. Now, though, once people learn the game they're probably just going to camp around the spawn points for hero tokens, depriving other people of the chance to play them. Why was this change necessary at all? It's frustrating because there is fun to be had in this game and it comes really close to being great sometimes, but there are just too many niggling little things that hold it back from its true potential. Some of these design decisions are, to be frank, downright boneheaded.
  8. Boy oh boy did I have myself a moment of weakness today.
  9. Is anyone else kind of underwhelmed by the beta? I know it's a beta and all but it just isn't really blowing me away over here. I can't quite put my finger on it. I guess it just feels rather ordinary for something that was so hyped, especially compared to the last game.
  10. So how much are they trying to charge for this ridiculous service anyway?
  11. One Punch Man has made it's premiere. It's off to a pretty good start, and I would recommend it to anyone with an interest in superheroes, or even just deconstructing superhero tropes.
  12. I managed to snag this bad boy for myself by sheer dumb luck while I was out shopping earlier. I also picked up Zero Suit Samus for a friend. They also had the retro 3-pack but the only one of those I would really want is R.O.B. and I don't think they sell him separately so eh, whatever.
  13. I'm starting to feel like more games should have a legitimate pacifism option. Not because I have a problem with violence in games or anything stupid like that, but just because I saw it done very well while I was playing Undertale. When I say "legitimate pacifism option" I mean the ability to go through the game nonviolently, or at least non-lethally, as something more than just a self-imposed challenge that the game clearly wasn't designed around. I think it could work very well for open world games and other RPGs if it's actually given proper consideration. Have characters that treat you differently if you never kill. Put in unique storylines or even endings for people who go through the whole game without taking a single life. Make the game acknowledge the extra effort you're putting forth to get through its challenges without resorting to murder. This wouldn't work for every game, obviously, but it should be used in games where it can work because that alone would give you a reason to play through it twice.
  14. Because it's these words specifically that annoy the crap out of me, many of them being words that were used constantly in Invader Zim, and ever since then edgy kids try (and fail) to utilize this same kind of humor to appear quirky or something. Am I seriously the only person who has ever encountered this? Because it feels like it's fucking everywhere.
  15. I really can't stand seeing all these cringeworthy internet "jokes" being made by people who think certain words are inherently funny. You know, words like the following: Taco Squirrel Monkey Penguin Spork Doom Banana Chimichanga I blame Invader Zim for starting this shit.
  16. I'm pretty caught up in the Undertale soundtrack ever since I beat it. I can't even really post the best songs from it because they're practically spoilers in themselves but take my word for it when I say the game's music is top-notch.
  17. Splatoon wouldn't be nearly as interesting, as it makes heavy use of the gamepad.
  18. Where did you even find it? I haven't seen that one anywhere.
  19. I beat Undertale with the pacifist ending. For an RPG it's fairly short, but I cannot recommend it highly enough. I can't really explain why without spoiling the hell out of it, so all I can really say is that it's an absolute must-play for anyone who enjoys turn-based RPGs.
  20. A friend convinced me to buy Undertale, also known as "the RPG where you don't have to kill anyone." Here's a trailer if you haven't heard of it.
  21. Mission 45 was indeed the worst. It took me two hours to beat that son of a bitch. Had I not previously developed the heavy body armor on a whim then I'd probably still be trying to beat it.
  22. Rented Until Dawn from redbox and beat it. I don't think I did too bad for my first time. Six survivors and only two deaths. I might pick it up after a price drop and play it again, see if I can't get a perfect 8/8.
