  1. Transformers: War for Cybertron. I'm not much of a transformers fan but it was actually pretty good. I won't be getting the sequel for a while, though. Not paying full price for that.
  2. Yeah, they're trying to turn into a brand something that isn't really one. Slapping the name on that new studio working on C&C was just weird and stupid.
  3. I bought the Humble Bundle 6 as well. Also bought this a few days ago. Haven't spent much time on it yet but I enjoyed the hour or so I spent with it so far.
  4. Yeah, I already owned half the games but it was worth it for Dustforce and its soundtrack alone. I was also curious about Rochard but not enough to buy it on its own. I'd never even heard of Vessel, though.
  5. Humble Bundle 6 is live. http://www.humblebundle.com Once again, pretty solid line-up. Dustforce if you beat the average is very nice as I've been wanting to get it for some time.
  6. Dragon Age III: Inquisition announced. And not a single fuck was given that day.

BioWare was no longer emotionally engaging.

  7. Finished replaying ACII on PC tonight. I'd forgotten how great that game's soundtrack is. Now I'm sad that Jesper Kyd isn't coming back for ACIII. He's not doing Hitman Absolution either
  8. Torchlight II pre-load is up! :D

      Thanks. :D Pre-loading complete.

  9. Had a few runs and so far it's absolutely fantastic! Crushingly difficult as well, but that's to be expected of a roguelike. There is an easier difficulty, which I used on my first run, but it's really not as much fun. Ended up making it through 4-5 sectors without the rebels ever showing up on the map.
  10. This one only got on my radar a couple weeks ago but I've been really looking forward to it ever since.
  11. Considering the pricepoint, I thought the length was reasonable. I agree repetition was a problem, though. Once you go through the loop for the third time, it does get a bit old.
  12. The first two episodes were good but I feel they really didn't compare to the Impossible Astronaut two-parter from last season. That one was just so good and it actually set up the season with something specific to build up to. I was kind of hoping they'd use the first 5 episodes to set up a mini story arc to send off the Ponds or something rather than stick to self-contained stories. Also, on a semi-related note, a few days ago I ended up starting a new netflix trial account to watch a movie I couldn't find a torrent for (gotta love how they require a new email address but let you re-use the same credit card over and over again lol), and turns out Torchwood is on there. So I finally watched Children of Earth. Man, that was good. Ended up watching all five episodes in a single sitting last night. But man, And while on the subject, I really want the 11th to run into Jack at some point. I don't care about the other Tennant companions, but this needs to happen.
  13. Beat The Witcher 2 earlier tonight. Man, that was a great game. I almost feel bad to have waited so long to buy it super cheap. I didn't think it was significantly better than the original but it improved in a few key area and looks amazing (a bit too amazing for my system, it turned out ). That being said, I thought it had some pacing issues. The story kind of seemed to drag on a bit in Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 kinda lost all the momentum Chapter 2 built near the end. Though I guess the latter might be because of the extra content the Enhanced Edition added. Also, did the original release not have an epilogue at all? I know the EE added a bunch of content near the end and I remember people complaining about the original release's ending but google didn't turn up much when I tried to find out. I was curious because if you remove the epilogue, then that's one hell of a shitty ending. And the epilogue was mostly just a huge exposition dump anyway, so it kinda feels like it could've been added later.
  14. It doesn't have any kind of elaborate career mode but I'm enjoying it a lot. Also, it works with the hundreds of songs I already own. It's nice to have an alternative for when I want to play but don't feel like bothering with plastic instruments.
  15. Man, you're just blasting through that series. Are the games really short or something?
  16. Took me a long fucking time cause I've been playing it kind of on and off since buying it almost two years ago, but I finally beat Super Meat Boy. Still got the Dark Worlds and secret stuff to do, but I completed the "story" mode. Man, that last level before the final boss... Took me almost 2 full hours of trying non-stop to finally beat that one.
  17. I'm looking at Revengeance more as a Platinum Games title than a Metal Gear game, personally. I don't expect it to feel like a true MG experience, but Platinum usually makes solid action games.
  18. No doubt. I replayed MGS4 back in december, I think it was. And I was amazed by how great it still looks. 4 years old and still looks better than most current games. That's no small feat.
  19. Yeah, it sure seems that way these days. That video was amazing. I really need to go back to Peace Walker and finish it... I wasn't really far into it before I just kinda lost interest. Think it was because of a boss fight.
  20. Oh shit, totally forgot to account for the air time being british time. /facepalm Was expecting it to come out tonight, but I'm seeing a torrent out now
  21. A collection of Edmund McMillen's (Super Meat Boy and Binding of Isaac) older games. Includes the original version of Meat Boy, which I remember playing as a flash game years ago. Curious to see how it holds up compared to the Super version.
  22. Spec Ops: The Line Wow. That was fucking incredible. Whatever Yager makes next, they have my attention. Oh and I played through Digital: A Love Story yesterday. It was a lot of fun for what's basically a glorified text adventure. Now I think I'll have to grab the current Indie Royale bundle before it ends because the sequel Analogue: A Hate Story is in it.
  23. Well, I reverted to that earlier save once again (so glad I made a manual save right before that part). I crafted some better armor (from the Kayran's remains) and found a slightly better sword. That gave me enough of an edge to beat him, though it was a close one. I'd overlooked my gear because I imported my original Witcher save and for a while I couldn't find anything better than the bonus gear I got from that.
  24. Holy shit, can you imagine Kratos sailing across the Atlantic and then killing all the Aztec gods? How badass would that be? Pretty sure David Jaffe once said his original plan was for Kratos to move on to the Northern pantheon (as in Vikings) after he was done with the Greek one. Seems a bit weird but it could've been great. So I keep hearing. About an hour left to the download. Think I'll take a break from Witcher 2 and play it right away once it's done
  25. Yeah, did that as well. Upgraded it with some runes and used the hangman's oil that buffs damage against humans.
