  1. Yeah, it seems like a weird fit. But they did open a new studio/create a new team for it. Perhaps they're trying to expand the BioWare "brand" to other genres. I'm not convinced either way, but having just looked at the little glimpse of footage in that spike promo, it seems like a possibility.
  2. IGN are speculating that the game is a new Command and Conquer title. http://games.ign.com/articles/121/1213223p1.html
  3. Hadn't realized it was against forum rules. Wouldn't have done it otherwise.
  4. And even then I'd say they're not even part of the bundle proper, merely additional incentives. There's really not much value in either. Besides, I was just trying to be helpful but eh, whatever.
  5. Well at the time I didn't know whether or not you had downloaded them. But I don't see what the big deal is, though. They're tech demos... not products that would be normally sold. I mean, I would not have uploaded the games themselves if it had been possible.
  6. pfff, don't thank me or anything! let me know if you get it or won't, though I wasn't planning on leaving the links up forever nvm, just saw you removed the links..
  7. Prototypes are direct downloads. I can grab them and megaupload them for you if you want.
  8. I completed Homefront in slightly less than 4 hours. Yeah...well...your mum! Wasn't there also an old video of someone completing Morrowind in like..15 minutes, or something?
  9. *ignores imminent shitstorm argument* ... Modern Warfare 3 I actually tried starting it last week and the very first mission gave me this overwhelming feeling of "Ugh, I played this fucking game multiple times before!!" and promptly quit. Then yesterday I didn't feel like playing Skyrim, so I fired it up to give it another shot. This time I somehow managed to get into it a bit more and finished the first mission. I kept playing and about five missions in something unexpected happened: I realized I was having a blast. Maybe my expectations were simply too low because of Modern Warfare 2, but I think the game is a shitload of fun. They really cranked up the "crazy thrill ride" factor, and that's what I like most about the series. It seemed like every other mission made me giggle and grin like an idiot because of how ridiculously insane, over-the-top and downright fucking badass it all was. It probably also helped that they replaced the "regular soldier" part of the campaign with a fucking Delta Force squad. I'm easy to please when it comes to this: put me in the role of a special ops guy and make me go through missions that make me feel like a complete badass and I'll have fun simply getting into character. ...unless the game is too easy and kinda boring... *cough* Medal of Honor *cough* It's by no means a perfect game nor does it breathe new life into the series. It's not as good as COD4 (which I don't think the series is ever going to top anyway) and they break new ground in the art of having a ridiculously short campaign (main menu says I completed it in 5h12mins! ). But it's nowhere near as stupid as MW2 and I thought it was a lot of fun. Really glad I didn't buy it, though. I'm probably the last person on earth who still plays COD for the single-player, so with no interest in MP, there's really no way to justify paying 60 bucks for this. Only way I'll be buying this is the same way I bought MW2: two years later, for 15 bucks on Steam. And now, just because holy shit Oh, and the Dualshock is the best controller, period.
  10. Already own Crayon Physics and Uplink, but I grabbed it anyway for Defcon and Darwinia/Multiwinia. A while back, I kept hearing about how great Darwinia is supposed to be. Also, I've been a fan of Introversion for years. Played Uplink to death on my old PC.
  11. Yeah, I'm planning on replaying MGS 1 soon as well, before I grab the HD Collection. I really don't see why you wouldn't play through a PS1 game... There is more to games than graphics, you know.
  12. Actually, if I remember correctly, it was much more complex than that. Something like a joystick click would not be sufficient. I guess a trigger might work if it's pressure sensitive, though. If I remember correclty, holding the button VERY lightly would do one thing, holding it hard would do another, a simple press and release would do something else. It was mostly for CQC, I think. It took me a while before I realized it and finally understood how to do specific moves.
  13. The conversation where I.. *fades away*
  14. +1! This is the best feature the service has, and it will keep me subscribed to plus. Without it, I would probably decide to stop even with all the discounted games/addons... Hey, Strangelove didn't say that! I did!
  15. If this is legit, then Notch is officially awesome. http://i.imgur.com/5HTia.jpg

He posted that off his twitter, so yes, I'd say it's legit.

Ah okay, saw it somewhere else so I wasn't sure.

  16. Well, after playing all evening, I have finished Assassin's Creed Revelations. I decided to write a mini-review, but it turned out much longer than I planned. I don't spoil any big plot points, but I do discuss the impacts each elements of the story have and how I felt about them so I'll put it in a spoiler tag just in case.
  17. ITT: Sickos talk about murdering kids.
  18. Oh, I thought it was developed by Stardock. Also, kind of a hypocrite that Wardell guy lol The fact that the game has no proper campaign kinda makes me less interested in the game, though :/ Then again, if there's no campaign then I won't feel any guilt over never finishing it like I do with most RTSes I play
  19. Oh, cool. I'll definitely grab it at some point, then.
  20. You know, I've always been curious about that series and was hoping it would eventually show up on Steam. Is this like, the first game? Or a stand-alone expansion or what?
  21. Forgot to post, but I received this earlier this week. I've been enjoying Hot Pursuit a lot, and it made me want to try something a bit more on the simulation side. Gran Turismo still seems like it would be too much for me, so this seemed like a good middle ground.

  23. Did they modify the controls or are they just screwed out of some actions?
