  1. You need to hear what Dr. Seuss told me. To cut it short, what happened to Bioware is basically that they shifted their focus from making games to making money. People like to blame EA, but the greatest deal of the fault is that they have hired many people who aren't passionate. they just want to make money.
  2. Too much Mass Effect for one day, a man must put limits on himself. Now for some Battlestar Galactica lol

lmao last year for spring break I spent the whole week playing Mass Effect 1 & 2 a couple of times and watching BSG 2k4 at the same time.

Force feeding yourself as much sci-fi as you can handle? :)

  3. Bioware I love the Mass Effect series, but you can sprinkle the DLC shit-cake with sugar, and you might think it doesn't taste like shit anymore, but now it tastes like a desert baker took a shit in your mouth. What I'm trying to say, is fuck you. But thanks for the great game, I am [not] looking forward for it to end. Mostly because I've had so much fun, but partially because I am dreading the thought of the bad ending.
  4. Ugh. I would be more pissed off with myself for playing this game the whole fucking day. but with all my friends back in our home town [im leaving tomorrow midday] I wanted a whole day to just nerd-out. So I spent it playing this, and never left my apartment today. LIKE A BAUSS
  5. The Salarian Spectre is my favorite spectre ever. Especially dealing with hanars and mistresses hahaha
  6. To be fair guys, I dunno how you beat the game in 20 something hours. I already hit the 18 hour mark and unless all the extra things to do in the citadel run out, I haven't done much concerning the main mission besides helping somebody out with something very specific. In fact I hope I still get to walk around the citadel and find extra missions
  7. Maybe I'm early in the game and he keeps mentioning it but my Shepard has been asked a similar question to what I stated above by 3 or so characters, and has mentioned the kid for two of them. Maybe I should move forward in the game and he'll get over it [besides the dreams]
  8. Damn I feel kind of bad that a chick has been dying to see me all week, but I just want to get back from my exam today and play some ME3.

You should play chess with her and let her finish her jokes about you not having four balls.

  9. Yeah Ethan, pretty much whenever an alien is coping with the fact that their planet is being attacked and Shepard has the option to say how he can relate, he brings it up. Or whenever someone needs to ask Shepard how he's doing [after the whole earth being attacked] I can guaranfuckingtee there's an option there to mention the kid. And yeah the VI Shepard came out of nowhere and is awesome. I laughed so hard when he said something along the lines of "I can predict what Shepard would say with a 7% accuracy". Not even one in ten times, I love this thing. Also I know it's hypocritical after all the shit I was giving Ashley of wearing too much make-up, but fuck it I'm going back to her as a love interest. It just seems more human, especially after we had the Miranda conversation and Bioware gave me the option to say what I wanted to say which is basically "fuck you you left me, I moved on". Plus I've seen how boring the other love interests are in the game. It's basically one sex scene and that's it. In a game that is so character driven, they really shouldn't have shafted so many characters from ME2 as a side NPC you can find. I appreciate the thought they weren't completely forgotten, but come on man. Can't remember if it was in this forum or another, but somebody posted an image of the perfect game and I gotta say I agree with the statement of story vs dialogue. Let Bioware come up with the lore/background and the dialogue. But let people like writers from Obsidian come up with the story.
  10. Seriously it's like Bioware doesn't realize that one can't possibly care about a character you saw for a total of 2 minutes. The whole "it's a little kid" angle only works irl. It almost feels like everytime an alien needs to question Shepard about how he doesnt know how it feels to not fight for their race to go save earth, Shepard brings this out. This is Shepard's "race" card. Turian: I dunno Shepard it seems like a waste of time to go save Earth while my planet is dying Shepard: Listen, we could spend the entire mission discussing how to save your planet in the longrun we need to save earth but I just want to say you're a piece of shit because I saw a little earth boy, couldnt have been more than 7, die right in front of my eyes as I left Earth. Turian: I saw my own family get disintegrated as my baby girl and wife begged me to not leave them but I had to in order to lead our defenses. I saw a whole orphana burn to the ground. Shepard: That's all fine and dandy, but you don't realize how much of a piece of shit you are because this earth kid looked so darn cute. Turian: AH SHIT HE WAS CUTE?! You're right Shepard, fuck my planet.
  11. I really dont know but I feel like Bioware is REALLY trying to make me care about the little kid at the beginning of the game but I honestly dgaf.
  12. Well the Halo multiplayer is always among the top 5 or so. In fact Reach's multiplayer is as close to perfection and if it wasn't for me not giving a shit about multiplayer unless I'm playing with friends, I would play Halo over MW.
  13. Ah shame about the ending being disappointing. I'm gonna assume the next title in the Mass Effect universe will take decades if not hundreds of years after this trilogy and that'll be their excuse for "whether your shepard wins or not he wont be around" then again I havent seen the ending but from what I hear, I'm gonna squeeze in as much of the game as possible
  14. Will do. Shame the game isn't 30-40 like last time, but hey considering I'm not paying for it... it's not too bad. Tell me in a spoiler-free manner, is the ending as disappointing as my friend insists it is?
  15. ME3 is a rental from me so even if I wanted to I can't touch the multiplayer [i'm assuming since it was asking me to input a code at the beginning]. Nice to know I can get it completely full without touching the multiplayer. Maritan how many hours have you played man haha. Didn't this thing just come out yesterday?
  16. I'm such a "need to get the best ending" whore for ME3 I'm spoiling myself of important decisions for the sake of knowing what to do. I know it sucks, but I only do it with this game. CURSE YOU INTERNET

    1. TheMightyEthan

      TheMightyEthan

The way I get around that is that my first playthrough is always a "whatever the hell I feel like doing at the time" playthrough (which tends to end up me being mostly paragon but not taking shit from anyone). Then I go through and do the "perfect" playthroughs afterward.

  17. Couldn't hold it off any longer, started the game and just got past the second main thing before they let you go to the citadel. In fact I was JUST given the freedom to do as I want. So from here on out [by which I mean tomorrow once I come back from my lab] it is smooth mass effect sailing.
  18. Wow really? I mean I guess that's not too bad since I was planning on beating it this spring break.. but still damn, that's short [for mass effect]
  19. Hmmmmmm... from what I read about certain party members from ME2, especially romances, it might not even be worth to continue romances with those that aren't crewmembers in the third one as they have an EXTREMELY small role. It's weird though. In Mass Effect 2 I had a romance with both Miranda and Tali but Tali was post-final mission. So I'm not sure which one I'll be able to continue. Hell I might do both. My Shepard is a boss. Breaking hearts, taking names. GAWD I can't wait to play this.
  20. rgrghrhrhrhrhrhr I want this game but have an exam thursday. I could play it today if I had it today FUCK YOU CHEMISTRY EXAM
  21. Ubisoft could blow my mind [and penis] if they do that.
  22. I think most surprisingly it got a 100 from Eurogamer. Those guys don't give above 90's too easily [like at all] so that's a really good sign. Will this game be as high rated as ME2? Maybe, but it'll definitely be up there with the top rated games of all time
  23. I know this might be a stupid question and slap me if it is, but was the queen a big thing back then? I always thought that the whole "queen is top news" thing didn't happen till recently and back then it was the king. Who was a dick. At least according to both my south american and north american textbooks. To be fair though. They might be biased.
  24. Guys I think it's safe to say that ME1-ME2 spoilers are fine and anybody coming here not expecting them should know better. ME3 spoilers should always be under spoiler tags though.
