  1. Yeah my rule of thumb is to play the second to the hardest difficulty in every game. If there's something between insane and normal [aka hard] I'll go with that, if it's just a easy/normal/hard game then I play normal.
  2. Mass Effect 2 on the first playthrough had its instances where I had to replay a section multiple times to beat it. This was usually instances with wave after wave of geth enemies.
  3. New Walking Dead. So far so good. It's funny how the show doesnt suck once they stop talking in a farm and start doing shit.

The new episode was awesome. I liked it.

The comic has a ton of dialogue... but at least shit actually happens. The show has been abysmally slow and hasn't taken any chances. People are too immortal.

in io9 they just discussed how one certain plot aspect of the comic might happen. Not sure if it'll be in the exact way, but by god I hope it is

  4. another option is to have a hooded figure who comes up to you "Hello stranga'! What minerals are you buyin?"
  5. My love life is complicated so until either the girls that like me break up with their current relationship or I find a single girl I like as much as these ones... It'll be Miranda for me. Forever Shepard ;'D
  6. Beat the Darkness 2. Worth a playthrough. Not as good or emotional as the first, and less liberty.. but still worth a rent at least.

  7. So Boardwalk Empire is pretty fucking good. Getting myself season 1 and 2 right now. Yet another freaking show I add to my list of tv watching.

    1. Eleven

      Eleven

I'm gonna check it out. I love period dramas! Especially HBO ones!

    2. Thorgi Duke of Frisbee

      Thorgi Duke of Frisbee

Yup, been watching it on HBO Go. Very good.

  8. One thing is to guarantee. Another thing is to say "oh they'll appear there as a background character". So yes it is nice to see them. Especially Miranda since my Shep has no interest in too-much-make-up Ashley. A plot point I REALLY want to see in this game is the whole Geth thing. Knowing Bioware, you'll probably have to up your debating skills since you'll most likely have to convince these guys to fight together.
  9. Fucking finally. Miranda and Legion were the two characters I wanted to see. Besides Garrus and Grunt. Hopefully Legion is a party member. He's a better engineer/techie than Tali imho. Also, I don't know what they mean by reinstated here. I know we discussed this before, but in my gameplay Anderson is part of the council. I'm not sure whether he has anypower to reinstate ranks in the military, so could he be talking about the Spectres? GAWD I WANT TO PLAY THE GAME AND FIND OUT INSTEAD OF SPECULATING.
  10. I was more excited about it back in 2011. But I have far too much on my mind right now to realize/get excited that it comes out in a few. And I mean 'me jizzing with excitement' excited like in ME2
  11. I'm not gonna cry over knowing which party members return over which members only return for one mission. As
  12. I just wish they showed other party members already. We're freaking less than a month away
  13. The stakes have never been higher. Chef: Would you like soup or salad Commander? Shepard: ! MASS EFFECT 3. SHIT GOT SERIOUS
  14. Well yeah. But then we have season 4 and 5. Not to mention 1 and 2. He's the manipulator.
  15. I've never seen Walter White shooting guns like crazy and jumping around the place. He's more of the intellectual morally ambiguous mastermind
  16. It was well done. But by fucking god am I tired of Still Alive/the cake is a lie/combustible lemons/space.
  17. I thought he looked more like Bruce Willis. But Walter White would be a better inspiration for a dark story involving drugs and crime.
  18. Yeah in ME2 it was more of a formality by the the crew and the rest of the planets as he will always be "Commander Shepard, savior of the Citadel" And Ethan, that probably has to do more with the fact the high commanding officers in the Alliance can be sort of dicks. I remember in Mass Effect 1, one guy wanted to enter the Normandy to inspect it. I told him I am a Spectre and don't have to deal with his bullshit, but he kept on saying something like he would do the impossible to get all bureocratic on my ass. My Shepard fought the Alliance at every turn. I remember a side mission where an Alliance guy contacts you and asks you to do something and you tell him that as a Spectre you are not obligated to follow orders. He asks you a favor. If they asked me a favor I would help. Orders on the other hand I would deny unless I HAD to do them.
  19. I'm not the biggest fan of Notch. I enjoy Minecraft when I play it, but Notch's fans have given him somewhat of an ego. But I respect the man for wanting to help Double Fine bring Psychonauts 2

Oh and then he had a fucking convention put together.

But how much is unwarranted? I haven't seen him acting like an asshole more than once or twice and the demand is there for most of this stuff - he's just riding it. I haven't seen him a quarter as puffed up as Gabe Newell for instance.

Obviously you're going to change your outlook a bit when over a million people buy the beta copy of an unfinished game you made.

    4. Johnny

      Johnny

Yes, let's hate Notch because he wears a hat. This seems sane.

I'm not sure what he's supposed to do in regards to his fans, tell them to fuck off? That wouldn't be very nice...

As for that twitter thing, I assume you're referring to the yogscast thing which they've pretty much all gone out and said it was a dumb misunderstanding.

And yes, he had a convention put together. Because he can. Why should he not?

  20. Any of you find the silver Chocobo? My friends were only able to find it with the guide
  21. This is gonna be the first election I don't give a flying fuck about any candidate. I'm actually hoping Obama stays. None of the other candidates remotely interest me.
  22. Just read the wiki, it said that a certain Admiral told Shepard he still is under the power of the Alliance in ME1, hence why they keep calling him Commander [even if the Spectre status is more prestigious]. I don't think we had much contact with the Alliance in ME2 besides the initial confrontation with Ashley/Kaidan and when we talk to Anderson. Unless Anderson said otherwise during that conversation and I don't remember, Shepard was always a Commander. I didn't see anything about his status of Commander being stripped away as much as him just being put under trial. I know what happens in the Arrival DLC, but I wonder how Bioware is expecting to address the fact that many didn't play the DLC. My guess is that they'll mention it throughout the trial and have a dilaogue option similar to "could you repeat me to exactly what happened?"
  23. I'm not confusing as much as generalizing my reasoning as to why I didn't accept the status of Spectre back in ME2. But at the end of the day all I want is for Shepard to command the ship and fuck Ashley I don't care if she outranks me and ends up being a Spectre while I'm not. Motherfucking ship is mine. I don't hear people talking about Ashley when discussing "the last hope of humanity." I guess what I'm trying to say, is that I hate having that bitch back. She ditched me in ME2.
  24. In the opening of ME3? Because you could get Anderson to reinstate the status in ME2, but it was such a minor thing. It was like a big conversation and then all of a sudden "btw do you want your Spectre status back? Ok let's keep talking" I didn't accept it as part of the story... I mean Shepard had gone rogue and disliked the Alliance somewhat at that point in the story, why would he answer to the council again? And thanks for the clarification Vargras. It seems like being a Spectre won't be as big of a deal in this game either. I mean if they give it to you at the beginning of ME3, considering they're taking away your fucking ship and calling it theirs, then nice. But no biggie. I've always liked lone wolves better in terms of badassery.
  25. I'm guessing the impact they'll have is that the revamped military Normandy will keep the upgrades you put on it from the first one. But those were specifically to survive the attack on the collector's base. We'll probably have to upgrade the normany further to fight Reapers So anybody here wondering whether they give you the spectre status again for ME3? They've already stated that Ashley is a spectre and tecnically of higher military rank than you are. Plus in ME2, the conversation to supposedly reinstate your spectre status was a dialogue choice that only appeared like once when visiting the Citadel and it never came up again in any further conversation besides like once when you could threaten somebody by stating you are a spectre. I'm really hoping that Ashley doesn't replace Miranda in the sense that they're your superior. I'm hoping this is simply Shepard teaming up with the Alliance but that you are in complete charge of your ship. I mean this is the ship constructed for you by Cerberus, I dunno how much power the Alliance has to strip it away from you.
