So... hello! What are your biased or non-biased opinions on buying a PS4 now. I have PS+ so i have grabbed some of the free content, and I'm def buying Infamous. And AC4 and maybe Tomb Raider. Are you guys bored yet with your PS4?

I can't think of any next-gen only games that aren't also exclusive to either Xbone or PS4. Though I like it even for playing cross-gen titles like AC4, it just gives a nicer experience than you can get on last-gen.

It's going to be different for everyone, and how their personal opinions vary in terms of how they play video games. If you think you'd get use out of it, then you should get one. But if you think you wouldn't have anything to play, and you wouldn't put the console to good use--and you know you can wait to play certain games long after they come out--then you might as well wait for a price drop.
You just need to figure out what kind of gamer you are, and how muc...

Anyone watching Under the Dome? Small town, big conspiracy. Like Jericho. I like it! Hopefully this show doesn't get cancelled. I heard it got renewed for Season 2. Also on queue is Revolution. Another big conspiracy type show. Watched only half the pilot, I guess it's ok. Honestly, I thought this show was going to be cancelled back when it was still new, but hey, it got a full season 1, and a 20 episode season 2.

If it's in user data folders, wouldn't that be encrypted? I think I remember having a problem with accessing the data when I put in an old HD.

More like an absolute maximum of all your games would be unavailable to you. You can't play any game from your library if you are sharing it. All or nothing. That's why you "give it up". If you want my Bioshock, I can share my library to you. If I want to play Bastion, I have to kick you out of Bioshock. The library is shared. Not 10 games. The thing is, me and my friends play at the same time. At night after work or on the weekends. So, unlike the rumored Xbox sharing, it's a whole lot limited and would essentially force me (not really) to stop playing just to lend a game.

Of course you could kick them out. That's not my point though. You have to give up gaming if you want to share your library, for the time being. You could always kick them out, yes, but you had an agreement with your friend that you're going to let him play. You can't just kick them out in those scenarios. Otherwise why share it in the first place? I'm talking about actually letting them play through it. So unless you plan to stop playing, you can't really share your library (reliably). Also, Vecha just had a typo there. That's exactly what he was saying.

LOL! I scrolled down and assumed it's one of those new fancy pages with big text and images and gave up on finding useful information. Yeah, that FAQ below is pretty clear it's the whole library, to one person, and you can't play. I guess it's useful during times I'm playing a game on a console, like I do now. If you're a PC gamer, primarily, it's really limited. Unless you plan to go on a vacation or just give up video gaming for the time being.

I added a CollegeHumor video page to my Pocket, and Pocket gave me the video's script. Is that an advertised feature by either Pocket or CollegeHumor?

Even though I was expecting there'd be a link to the video, i found it cool. I think that's how it works, yeah. I wonder if they did that for their other videos too.
I couldn't find the script on the actual page, though. I was wondering if that's just something you will discover yourself or they actually tell you that they do that.

The 2DS that's going to be exclusive to Europe is white/red and is awesome, I think. It looks like the old Famicom, but the red should be darker.

I hated this when I first listened to the album when it came out. But around 2 weeks ago I was playing it on loop lol However, this is now what's on loop.

Tales of Vesperia for the PS3. Reading the translation from my phone doesn't feel like reading subtitles. It feels like reading a wiki. Still, enjoying it so far. Got the main story translation on my phone's browser, and some youtube videos downloaded for the skits (they're in english!). And a google doc file for the side quest translation. Lots of work that I need to have breaks!

http://apps.lushu.org/vesperia/ - Gonna try to get through this game with this. I've already played it on the 360, and I know it's a great game, so I'm sure I won't get bored with it. It's going to be a challenge with the menus, but I started learning katakana, through an app no less, and it was surprisingly easy to memorize. First challenge though is getting a copy of the game.

US. I was doing it on the web browser store. The PSN Store on the PS3 is so very slow! But yeah it's just like Ethan said! It's already purchased on the device, but not on the web store. Weird.

Anyone know why I can't buy some of the free games PS+ offers? Like right now it says I'm not eligible for Hitman Absolution Special Edition or Dokuro for PS Vita, whenever I try to put it in my cart. I just want to buy them then never play them ever. But it's not letting me!

I love you, Tales of Xillia. I'm 70 hours in. This is the most fun I've had in gaming in... so long. Now I want to get another 360 (mine died) just to play Vesperia again. Or maybe get Tales of Graces F first.

The characters were friggin' awful in Graces. That's why I quite playing it (and after a hefty investment, too). The only two I could really stand were Pascal and the older guy. That and the story was basically "friendship is magic!" the shounen version.
I've been told Xillia and Vesperia are better, though.

^^^^^ What ST said. People shit all over Final Fantasy XIII, but, IMHO it wasn't anywhere near as bad as that. Awful characters plus awful voice acting makes for a bad game no matter how good the battle system is. My other beef was, I played that game for 8 fucking awful hours and was still in the prologue. Ugh...

I'm willing to pay for DLC costumes for an RPG I'm gonna play for countless hours, but man 2.99 for each alt costume in Tales of Xyllia?

2.99 is BS.
I've never really seen the appeal in paying for alternate costumes in games, except for when it's a cross-promotion thing, like Mass Effect or Assassins Creed outfits in Final Fantasy. Course, they launched those long after I beat the game, so I never actually bothered getting them.

Are the keys separate for each game in this bundle? They usually come in 1 key if it's from the humble bundle. At lease everytime I get one.

That's an interesting game... I'm adding it to my wishlist. I assume you have to look for inconsistencies or discrepancies yourself? There seems to be a "show discrepancies" option and wouldn't that take the fun away from the game?

Since I can't still get a Nexus 7, I started to look around for other Android devices and saw the Xperia Z Ultra. Now, I'm not a big fan of humongous phones, but this device looks so awesome. I think I'm gonna get that, maybe, it looks like it would solve my tablet as a phone issue (which I gave up on anyway). Anyway, the only problem I see is that since this is technically a phone, the apps might run in phone mode, and with 6.4" screen i think tablet mode should be ideal. Same as me. I tend to save things for reading later, and then when i do eventually get a chance to read them, i delete as i'm no longer interested, or they're no longer relevant

Mines a "I'll read this when I get off the bus". Wish the app had a way of auto-tagging stuff with where I 'pocketed' the article/etc. eg. Chrome/Twicca/Youtube/etc

IFTTT auto tags it with "ifttt" and the service you use (at least it does with youtube) to pocket it. I have my youtube watch later setup in IFTTT.

The PoP Shadow and the Flame iOS game is pretty cool. Unlike the first game where it's basically a 3D recreation of the original game, this one follows the same story (narrated by the prince, in text, a la Sands of Time trilogy) but the level layouts are different. Though you'll see familiar traps from the 2nd PoP game, and I can't remember the layouts well but I believe they should be the same basic setting (rooftop, cave, some abandoned castle later on. I'm excited to see the pegasus jump and how they'll recreate that. I found that awesome in the original game). Most people complain about the controls. But I actually found the swipe gesture control rather fun and better than the joystick mode they have. It's clunky, like the original game, but if you've played the first iOS 3D PoP remake, it's forgiving like that. Combat, while right now I'm still ok with, will probably get tiring later on as some of the reviews say.

Anyone here have an external battery pack for their phone/tablet? I'm looking for a good one (with a good price!) and according to lifehacker, the Anker one was the best. Good price, too! Unfortunately, Amazon's out.
