  1. That happens in movies, too! Paramount, I think, reimbursed some guy cause the huge explosion he saw from the trailer of a Tom Cruise movie wasn't in the final cut! No explosion, no sale.
  2. Yeah. It's Korean I think. I'm only annoyed because my Facebook feed is full of it...
  3. Apparently, it's a very good game. Look at those scores! I'm going in blind into this one, having owned the previous Bioshocks and never having played them. Also FPS makes me dizzy if played without the back of my head resting against something. But it looks like a good game look at those scores! OMG
  4. Bioshock Infinite SPOILER FOLLOWS. Turn back this is your last chance! SPOILERS START HERE: I haven't played it yet.

      NeoStarr

You will play it, you have played it, and you are playing it.

  5. Well, with this huge poster on Steam, I'm gonna HAVE to buy it.
  6. You're right, it's unfair. Uncharted did it like you said. It's just that it didn't give me a feeling of being in an adventure, but I guess the game isn't about an adventure, it's about survival. I guess I was just looking for something else.
  7. So I finished it yesterday and I wanted to write some of my thoughts about it... so I will! EDIT: Man, that was long, didn't notice that. TL;DR: Great game. Liked graphics, combat, story and QTEs. Didn't like only being in the jungle, optional tombs a letdown. First of all, great game! I've really enjoyed playing this. It took me about 14-15 hours to finish the main game, since I spent some time going through the optional tombs and doing other stuff. Gameplay is not really original, feels very much like Uncharted, even though the story isn't really like Uncharted as Lara is not really looking for treasures here. I liked the QTEs here, especially on the life/death situations. It's also not hard to do, (unlike God of War, which some QTEs could be random sequences) it's basically just "Y", and sometimes the left stick, and "X" for holding on to ledges. That's why I liked it, since it keeps me involved in those set scenes without having to dread pressing the wrong button. The story is fine, I guess. I did kinda see it coming, and sometimes I wonder why Lara couldn't figure out what's happening. I read the same clues as her as everything happens in her perspective anyway. But it's not bad. I liked the combat. TR finally has good combat! There are only a few instances where you could use the environment against your enemies (like exploding barrels, or fiery lamps), I wished there was more. Some not-so-positive comments: It's a Tomb Raider game, but it's really not. It's just a Lara Croft game. Platforming is there, but puzzles, which are a defining feature of past Tomb Raider games, is limited to optional Tombs, which contain exactly 1 puzzle each. I was expecting something like AC2's optional dungeons where there is a lot of platforming involved. So it's a bit of a letdown. I'm not that much bummed about the puzzles but I wanted more platforming tombs. Also there's only 1 locale. It's the island jungle. Past games had you traveling to places. Uncharted also had you traveling to places. So I guess on their next game, what I want to see is better optional Tombs. Maybe some required tombs to get some required artifact. And more locales! I liked it when I was in Venice in TR2, or in that city at the start of AoD. Actually, I want a city map. Not sure how that would work, but hey, Venice worked. Overall though, really enjoyed this.
  8. Yeah, depowered Magneto showed up there as you said, and that was from Legacy, right after Messiah Complex. Magneto also did something amazing in the Uncanny X-Men issues post Messiah Complex, that is related to what happened in Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men run. I'll post it just in case you wanted to know without researching it and potentially encountering more spoilers than you'd like. Also contains spoilers on why he is where he is at Schism.
  9. The arcs I enjoyed from the X-Men are the ones that lead up to Hope, to the Second Coming (Uncanny, Cable, X-Force). Whatever stuff that follows after I just read to see what'll happen to Hope. EDIT: Which is from what you've read (Messiah CompleX) to Second Coming. Basically Hope's story. Schism is kinda self contained, you just need some to have some general idea on what the mutants are like before it. It starts off with Wolverine coming back from some adventure, which is from an arc in the Wolverine comic, but that's not important, it's just where it starts, and is immediately greeted by a bunch of kids. And the kids that meet him are Hope and her buddies (the "lights"). And then Cyclops calls him. One thing that could probably confuse you is what's Magneto doing there? The short, non-spoiler answer is well because Cyclops is a badass. The long answer is found on the Uncanny X-Men comics, somewhere from issue #500 to #520, when the X-Men moved to San Francisco. Schism leads to a... what do you call it? A label? Basically the next issues that follow will be under the banner (oh that's the word!) Regenesis, which are from different books that have their own arcs, but it follows what happens after it Schism. The two books to follow here is Uncanny X-Men (obviously) and Wolverine and the X-Men.

    Ouya

Relative to the console's price though... that's half the price of the console. If you bought the Ouya for $99 because it's cheap and plays games, having to buy a $50 controller would really suck.
  11. I don't know about you guys, but that was the best gameplay preview of all time! The accuracy of the crawling mechanics... It's unreal! The way that chair flipped when he tried to stand up, i've never seen better physics animation. And when he stood up... Oh man they had me at the edge of my seat! I can't wait to buy this game!
  12. I could imagine the marketing that goes with that logo. A little girl's voice goes "Xbox. Introducing a new way to play!" *giggles* *Multiple kids giggling*
  13. It is. The comments are actually hidden. It's other people's replies that gets upvote (because they called out the comment) that makes them visible again. And don't deny it, you click on "show" even if youtube says "this comment is spam!". Oh I didn't see WaS post. Yeah that's greyed out and hidden. But then what I said above... ^ I'm guilty too anyway. I actually am sometimes frustrated. "Goddammit youtube just tell me what he said already!"
  14. I like the arrows! My only complaint is that it should be bigger. I like how comments are in columns, so I don't have to keep scrolling down to skip garbage. What really is the difference with the classic comment layout? Everyone who posts later are left behind. They're at the bottom of the sea. I like the layout. I think I spent about 20 seconds looking at that girl with the magic card dress. I only did because it was so huge, I didn't have to click to zoom in. It certainly grabs attention, but I fear it's too big, and I can't seem to view an article title, with the full pic. Maybe it's just my scrolling speed. No... i think it's just the pic that's too big.
  15. Lol! That post makes me want to play and try whatever you said! I think it's the tone, like, "hey you whoever you are reading this, do this now!"
  16. Yeah I liked the optional objectives too. If Tomb Raider wasn't released yet I would have tried my best to meet them. I especially liked those that say Don't get detected. Or kill minimal people. Makes you really play like an assassin. Rare moments for Connor.
  17. Pretty good news to me! I think someone mentioned here that they should have had this on the iPad. When I tried it, I definitely agreed. However, I'm not sure If I would actually buy and play it, as I'm not really interested in this game. Maybe? I wonder how big of a download this is. It's a huge game on PC.
  18. Yeah. I think that's my biggest complaint about the game. Connor is a soldier. Or a ship captain, maybe a pirate like his grandfather. But definitely not an assassin! Actually, at first, when everyone was saying the ship combat was like the most satisfying part of the game, I was like "Really... i don't know...". I've played the ship's intro missions, but didn't stick to me at all. But after playing the mandatory ones later in the game, I couldn't get enough of it. Definitely looking forward to more ship battles in the next game now! Plus, boarding will be an option and that's badass! In addition to the chase scene:
  19. Waiting for the credits to finish. SPOILER ALERT! Next time, I hope, Ubisoft that you...
  20. http://www.theverge.com/2013/3/20/4126632/next-xbox-always-connected-game-install-required-rumor Oh no! Though it is still unclear whether the PS4 would do the same thing (in a different way). Still, it doesn't look good.
  21. I don't play strategy games anymore, but I think it was with Warcraft 3 that they started to have varying missions in the campaign. Warcraft 2 and Starcraft were at the time when strategy games like these were more on base building. But you guys already know that. Also, i thought the stereotype was with Koreans and not Asians in general.
  22. Oh and I wanted to post this old thing... http://youtu.be/bwuIwt4pRNI
