  1. Thanks! I'm looking at DOTP 2013 and is $10. But it's not on sale, or not marked as such. The 2012 game is 19.99... I wonder what's that about... though it looks like the 2012 one, even if it's not marked as a bundle, includes additional decks. There's a demo so I guess I can try that first.
  2. I know this thread is about the actual card game but I have a MTG question: How is the MTG Duels of the planeswalkers game? I've played MTG a long, long time ago (10 years ago) but I stopped because I don't have the money to keep up with decks and packs. Also what does this mean? It's one of the perks of the special edition pack (talking about planeswalkers 2013): "10 Foil Conversions. Early access to foiled cards for the Ten Base game decks." If I do get it, I'll probably get just the standard edition, but just curious what that is and how does it contribute to the special edition pack of the game.

I DEMAND this thread be moved! Who is with me!?!
  4. Do they still have the guaranteed DLC character packs? Especially for PSN? I'm tempted to go back and play the MP again, but I had enough of the randomness of the character unlocks before (I don't mind the random weapon unlocks much).
  5. I know! I was like "the comments are gonna be fun!" while reading her post but then I got to them and what the hell was that. Those are the most polite comments I've seen on the internet!
  6. I'll retire (well... not really) and keep most of the money. I may apply for a few jobs... to keep myself busy once in a while. And meet people. I'm an anti-social introvert but I get bored with myself once in a while. If I get tired then I'll quit it and be a bum again. Rinse/repeat. Or pick a job that has travel opportunities so I could travel on the company's dime. Greedy me. Family stuff. It's obligatory to share it with family. I have both my parents and 3 siblings! I won't give out cash like crazy though. I'll pick a few close friends, figure out one thing they really want to do, like take them to some country where that band they really like makes tours but who never gets to tour where they live. Stuff like that. Or take them to a trip to Japan and pay for the expenses and shit. Take them to that convention like comic-con or PAX and buy lots of shit. All stuff that you really don't need in life. I'll let them take care of their living expenses or getting a car. I'll just take them somewhere fun. Then just relax and enjoy it and hope it'll last forever and ever. Of course, keep playing the lottery. Some bastards win twice or more. I might get lucky. I might not take a risk and invest it. If it's big enough I can just keep it in a bank in a timed deposit and live off the interest. That'll be enough.

But see that's the thing. Even if you can do this already with your phone, which is great by the way, it's largely ignored, because most people won't do that. One thing I hate is when people say they could already do stuff with their x-thing if they hack it, and don't see the need for a product that does that without the hack. There are only a few people who do hacks like this. In turn, developers don't see any viability in developing games for this platform. But if it had a console, then that changes things. I just read an article about MP3 players from creative supported wireless syncing even before the first iPod was announced. The iPod doesn't have that. The iPod also had smaller storage space. Geeks scoffed at the iPod then, but look at where it is now. Every mp3 player wants to be like an iPod. The zune is a fucking iPod. It's not a console that will play indie games and touch games already on the android. It can do that sure, but the important part is opening up the console, making a system where it's so easy to do stuff and is very appealing to developers, at a great price for the consumer. Hopefully, a lot of the big companies would support the platform. Ubisoft likes to put their games on everything. I wouldn't be surprised if they were the first ones to put a real console game on this thing.

That is exactly the idea. Make real console games on the open, android platform. Games are limited right now to touch screen controls. They could do a lot more with gamepads.

Ah I see. I had assumed it would be better when they said "we packed this thing with a lot of power" or something.

I think the idea of having an open console would entice developers. I think the idea is great. I'm really excited for this to hit the market. I don't know if I understand the product correctly, but... What glorified PS2/Wii? Isn't this an Android based console that is supposed to be powerful like current consoles? I'm assuming it can run games as well, if not better, than a PS3 and Xbox 360. But I may have this wrong. With this comes the hope that developers would make games for it. Make the android platform appealing to "hardcore" developers who put their games on the xbox or playstation. And I don't see why they won't. It's so open. Isn't that what everyone wants? EDIT: Plus, this could deliver on the "take your game anywhere" thing that Sony keeps saying, but are also limiting us to very few select games. They could make an RPG with Controller support and touch support. And you can continue that RPG on your phone whenever you need to leave the house.
  11. LOL! What's Wii doing there?
  12. Yeah! The end was already spoiled for me. I doesn't bother me though. I did like Cole a lot when I played the game. I don't know why. I guess it's the suit... And my PSN avatar is also cole... so why not.
  13. Finished Dragon Age 2. I liked it a lot! I'd say I wish there was more, but I think I've had enough of those maps... Next stop would probably be L.A. Noire. Hrm... or Darksiders...
  14. So I just finished Dragon Age 2. Those reused maps is all that is wrong with it. If you look past that, it's a great game. I like the story, and especially how they tell it. Can't wait for Dragon Age 3!

I'd rather they not try to please both camps.

Make the best game they can...without worrying about who is or isn't going to buy it.

      Let the peieces fall.

Personally, I liked DAO over DA2...but I don't want them trying to please "my people."

There are other devs doing what I want with RPGs. I have other places to toss what little money I have.

      TheMightyEthan

Where are these devs, because I would love to throw money at them?

@eleven: I think that ME2 and DA2 were Bioware's exploration with making the games accessible, but they went too far and they realize it. DA3 will hopefully be similar to ME3 in that it's a compromise; deepening the systems without losing the accessibility or turning them into a jumbled mess.

I'm still miffed that you couldn't manage your squad's armor fully in ME3 though.

    4. Vecha

      Vecha

Well...I threw money at the Wasteland 2 devs(Brian Fargo)...and there is Witcher 2.

Wasteland 2 should put the Squad-based, choices matter, inventory management, skill management WRPG place in my heart that DA2 didn't fill

  15. I NEED MOAR PERIOD DRAMAS! Just finished watching Boardwalk Empire and can't wait for more. Know any other ones? I'm not really picky, I just like that setting. They should make more. I need more! Where are they? Currently watching Legend of the Seeker. All I can say is.... Kahlan is pretty. Also, it feels weird that I'm watching a medieval show where they have an American accent. It doesn't feel authentic if it doesn't have that British accent. It feels cheap! CHEAP!
  16. Anyone want to exchange something for Dragon Age 2? I have a key from Amazon, plus the Black Emporium. You should be able to register it with Origin/your EA Account but I'm not sure how you're going to download it? EDIT: Maybe this will help? https://help.ea.com/...-code-in-origin
  17. And now this game will be in your pile of shame for next year's shameless gaming month.
  18. I was going to suggest Blackle temporarily but what about google+, gmail, and docs? Do you get blocked out from all of google's stuff?
  19. Dragon Age 2 reminds me of The Summoner a lot. Good story with oh so bland maps...

But this is a full grown man, arguably pretty badass, who simply doesn't feel like leaving. Fucking lazy ass.

What CowboyPoet said. I like the game a lot, im one of the few who will defend it, but seriously....wtf. I wonder who the douchebag was that decided it was totally cool to reuse the same dungeons a hundred times. It's so stupid. Did they really think we wouldnt notice or that people were going to be ok with it? He must have been high off his ass.

I don't think there's anything wrong with your character staying in one place. They just have to make sure the alleys, darktown, underground passages, each house/estate don't look the same.

That's really my only complaint about the game. Thankfully the rest of the game is good.

Will try to look for a mic. I'm sure I had one before... Maybe I can use my PS3 headset. I'll try to figure out my inventory first though...

    Day Z

So I started playing this. I'm... not sure what to do... I saw some buildings, some warehouses, and went over there, there was nothing in it. So I went outside and some zombies started walking towards me... or in my general direction. I backed away and shot one of them. I got some bandages I think from the dead zombie. I went into another area... this had a hanger or two in it... then I think my food is gone, my cans of beans. I guess I dropped them(?) when I was looting the zombie? I'm not sure how to work the inventory yet. In this place... I found an AK-74... and a shotgun I think . I think I dropped the AK when I picked up the shotgun, 'cause it's gone from my pack too... I talked to someone over chat. It was his first time too. He wanted to see them zombies. I told him I just saw a bunch of them (this was back when I was in that first area with nothing in it). That was the last I heard of him. I keep getting a "fall back" radio message on the chat? I don't think it's me... But I don't see anybody else... I disconnected over near the beach, since I found myself there again. Through wading through the menus, I think I got into another server (I wanted to disconnect and stop playing). So I spawned at the water again... but my shotgun is still with me... and still missing my cans of beans. I'm lost...
  22. I'm too lazy to post some of my favorite scenes so I'm just gonna post scenes I find I really like on current shows I watch! Currently watching Boardwalk Empire. I'm a sucker for period dramas. Like Pan Am, I don't care what people say about it, I love it. If the playboy club wasn't canceled (after 3 episodes? really?) I'd watch it. So back to Boardwalk Empire, this scene really got me excited. And then:
  23. Replace "is irony" with "could be irony" in Vecha's post and I think we'll be fine!
  24. I just find this post especially funny because it actually happens to me a lot. You can draw arrows with three lines, but I want my arrows to have triangles at the end. I always mess it up and it never points to where I want it to point...
  25. I used the Dragon Age 2 console to level up to 50. I got an achievement out of it. Don't ban me EA!

You bought Dragon Age 2. That's good enough for them.
