  1. But what we all want to know is ..ahem Does Syndicate signify a return to form for the Assassin's Creed Franchise?
  2. So um...are they using the same engine from KOTOR? because damn if this game doesn't feel old.
  3. *brushes away cobwebs* So I'm thinking of giving this game a look. With all this excitement about Star Wars, I'm desperate for something to throw myself into and I don't think Battlefront is it. Is anyone playing, or has anyone played it since it went F2P and how well is it likely to play as someone looking to play it on my own (for the most part).
  4. I've put upwards of 140 hrs into this game and I've not completed so much as a Nightfall strike (Hell I'd like to be able to finish the Prison of Elders stuff but alas, No matchmaking). I understand the lack of Matchmaking for the Raid, everything I've read about it makes it sound like a diabolically different set of skills is required, but at the same time Nightfall and PoE should include Matchmaking, as far as I know those just require that you can use a gun....right?
  5. So Rocket League is getting an Ice Hockey mode. Im gonna need a change of pants.

      Congealing maybe.

  6. I wasn't a massive PSX fan, but that thing is damned cool. A real shame they're asking me to pay the best part of £50 for that. I could y'know, actually buy a game for that price.
  7. To me, Science Fiction should be about more than just lasers and space travel. Those can be parts of the setting of course, but the genre should allow us to explore more interesting subjects that we otherwise wouldn't be able to go down if it was set in todays world. BSG is another example. Without a doubt a Sci-Fi show. Lasers, Robots, Space Travel; but also Politics, the human condition and questions about the nature of war and our place in the universe.
  8. I think that's where many are going to draw the line. I've enjoyed the Beta, but I've not really got any interest in throwing £45 at this game when Fallout is around the corner. It's filled game between Destiny and the Witcher expansions, and I'm fine with it disappearing off into the ether until there's a substantial price drop, at which point it won't be worth playing anyway.
  9. So I don't think we've asked yet...who's actually going to buy this?
  10. The Salvation: A western with Mads Mikkelsen and Eva Green. Sign me up. Tense, dark and pretty damn violent. Enemy: Basically my favourite film released in 2014. If you like dark, confusing thrillers you could do much worse here.
  11. Basic problem I seem to have is that I simply can't get any new gear above 280. I want to love this game but I fear my social anxiety will always put a limit on just how much I can get out of the game.
  12. Okay so I've hit Light Level 290 and I fear I've ran out of ways to increase that without Raiding. Is that pretty much accurate?
  13. Isn't the point to the movie that 'Life goes on, regardless of the shit that we go through' and that Dr Stone (that's her name right?) accepts this, and then is reborn in that somewhat annoying scene at the end?
  14. The game? Play the story, hit the strikes and level up that light score.
  15. Fairly sure its the top setting in the video options. 'Soldier Camera' or something along those lines. I think you can swap camera's whilst in-game too, at least on consoles. I made the switch to 3rd person and much prefered it, the movements speeds seem to suit that style a little more IMO.
  16. I think it's a fun, if not altogether revolutionary online shooter with some soft feeling shooting. It looks fantastic on PC, and if you're into Star Wars you're probably going to enjoy being in that world, but for the most part it feels awfully forgetful.
  17. Okay, so I've realised the game is built to be a 3rd person shooter that's got a tacked on first 1st person view. It feels much more natural when you're playing in 3rd person, plus running around as a StormTrooper is always a lark.
  18. I just finished a 2 hour stint on Destiny. First thing I noticed about Battlefront? The shooting feels very not-fun in comparison. I know they're going for different things, but Yuck.
  19. I'd just like to point out that I really do like The Martian, it's a good; enjoyable sci-fi film that I hope we get more of in the future. It's got issues, and some of them are large, but for the most part I'm willing to admit that I was acting like the butt-hurt book fan that I try hard to ignore, however I'm only human. I was disappointed, but a week later I feel like I've accepted the film for what it is, and that's a bloody enjoyable film that I can't wait to watch again. So yeah, go see The Martian, you won't regret it.
  20. I know you've got the whole 'Forum Asshole' thing going on but really? Do you walk around with a stick up your ass all the time or is it just this persona you use on a web forum to give yourself some illusion of power? If you're looking for a reason to be offended, you won't find it in that post. I was making a point about a girl, not all girls. Pffft.
