Ignore Cowboy, he's dumb and also a bully. Probably tortures small animals for fun when no one's around, too! I should say the walkthrough only kicked in for the stuff inside the mountain, and I tried to do as many as those as possible before resorting to it. I'd decided I'd had enough by this point and so I simply wasn't going to spend an hour looking at the screen waiting for the penny to drop. With the choice of finishing the game with help, or turning it off and never playing it again, I went with the former. Cowboy went full 'I'm not angry....just disappointed' on me and I had no way to hide my shame. Forgive me, I'll do better next time [emoji22]

I love those books. The first three are superb reads, 4 and 5 aren't too shabby either.

You made me feel bad

The Witness I ended up basically using a walkthrough to get myself to the final cinematic. So yeah, that's a game I played.

I feel my time with The Witness is coming to something of an abrupt end. I've done enough to get into the mountain, and I'll probably work my way through that content over the next few days. I started The Witness really enjoying my time with it, but as its puzzles became more and more complex I could feel myself slowly reaching for the internet and that's robbed the game of its most important aspect; achievement. It's still a fantastic game, but I've found myself spending more and more of my time with the game in a state of near constant frustration. Is that my fault or the games? I dunno.

I've broken the seal....I'll probably jump back to the IGN guide whenever I get stuck again. I did the same for Talos Principle and I can't shake the feeling that it sort of cheapened that one too.

I used a walkthrough to finish off a section and now I feel like I've cheapened the entire game

Fuck Tetris puzzles.

https://www.humblebundle.com/ Humble Ubisoft Bundle. I imagine most people already own what's available, but here you go... If you've not played Call of Juarez Gunslinger give it a look, its absolutely fantastic.

This is the first pizzle game in an awful long time that I flat out refuse to look for help on how to beat the game. It leads to some frustration, but you just can't best that feeling of satisfaction when you do finally get it right.

I hate to be 'that' guy, but £30 is a good chunk of change, even when I've got a voucher for it. I'll likely pick it up in a few days, I'll give a few of my favourite podcasts a listen and decide after the fact.

The Witness I enjoy puzzle games as much as the next guy (Talos was superb), and I'm really eager to get in on the conversation about this game but something is holding me back..its length. Can someone sell me on it as I've got £25 PSN credit to burn after Christmas and there's naff all coming out for a while that'll likely be played on my PS4.

Sat here watching Youtube tutorials about how to play a video game. Is this who I am now?

I'll take the no afterlife option please. Although if you eased up on a few of the rules I might be tempted to take the blue pill. For example, maybe give me 3 Reincarnations before I come back as an animal? I enjoy wiping my ass on the ground as much as anyone, but I'd like to take up the option of being a pro sportsman or a Royal first. You're in a fight to the death. You get to pick one of the following as a weapon. Baseball bat or a meat cleaver. What do you take?

Let me tell you about San Andreas. If you want to watch a series of CGI scenes of buildings collapsing (which lets be honest, aint fun no more) then this might be for you. Watch Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson flagrantly disregard the same people he swore to protect while he rushes to save his incredible beautiful family and two of the most British British people you've ever seen. If thats not enough for you, perhaps I can interest you in 'Movie Step Dad'. A fairly likeable guy who goes from alright dude to absolute monster in roughly 40 minutes. San Andreas. Paul Giamatti is randomly in this movie.

Shush. *please move it*

Ant-Man. I'm hesitant to say it's simply 'Okay' as I genuinely did enjoy my time with it, but I wouldn't call it 'Great' either. It's a fun Marvel movie. At this point, that's all I really want from them.

Another, slightly less serious problem I end up walking into (granted, this comes hand-in-hand with the style of game it is) is that after I grind and grind for that super-weapon that I've wanted for 10 months; eventually it'll be totally redundant and be replaced by a Yr 3 Common.

Lack of new content in PvE is why I've totally dropped off the Destiny map too. I know its only been a few short months since TTK, and I've put upwards of 60 hrs into the game but I've got to the point now where everything I had any interest in doing has ceased to be fun on the 20th go-round. Perhaps this is less a problem with the game and more with what I expect out of it, but it's still disappointing for a game that we figured would be brimming with new content on a regular basis. Look at the new event things they're doing. SRL was fun, but it certainly wasn't enough to keep me diving bank info Destiny and the Halloween thing fell totally flat for many. I wonder if Bungie and Activision have decided that they're okay with fans playing for a month and then leaving the game behind until the next major release?

Could try Missing E? It's an extension that's been pretty great in the past. Speaking of tumblr, I love the basic idea of it, but good lord has that platform gone down the tube in the last few years. I hate to go 'Way Back When', but I joined that site in 2010 and it was fantastic, when did it get overrun by 14 year olds doing their best to be offended by everything?

Me and my GF have been playing a game on our Chromecast recently. It's called Big Web Quiz and it's exactly what it sounds like. They use the Google Knowledge Graph to populate the game with various questions (although most seem to fall into the category of Who is this?, Where is This? and How Many of These?) which is unfortunate but whatever, it also allows a certain random approach that you might enjoy. The real hook of the game however, is the ability to play on the TV whilst using your phone or tablet. The game is designed to be played in a group; its a party game. It supports up to 5 (I think) players, and each game will take you roughly 5 minutes. It's free, its fun and it's pretty inventive. Wouldn't mind seeing more of this stuff going forward. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.bigwebquiz.app.prod&hl=en

I've been with my Nexus 6p for a little over a week at this point, and I've got to say, I love it. Size wise, I think it might be a touch too large for what I'm looking for (the OnePlus 1 really was ideal), but with a decent soft-touch case on the back I'm not having too much trouble gripping the phone with one hand. The camera seems solid, which coming from a phone with a very decent camera in the 1P1 was all sorts of essential. I'm still a touch worried about that giant glass camera region. I'm absolutely certain that *IF* I rub against a wall it'll be the first thing to crack, and I'm not sure how replaceable it is with the unit being sealed. All in all, it's a lovely phone. Marsh Mellow is real nice too.

I know I'm in the minority here, but Super Mario Maker just hasn't grabbed me in the slightest. The level design stuff fell entirely flat (namely because IDK WTF 2doew) and most of the custom made levels that I'm trying are simply..unfun. So PXOD, I ask; what am I doing wrong?

Not available in the UK because...Oceans? Thanks Amazon.

My 1Plus One was starting to get a little old in the tooth, and my contract with o2 was coming to an end so I thought I'd go for something more premium this time. Had the device a day, and whilst I've not really had a chance to use it in the wild (waiting on the number transfer), I can safely say that it's got that premium feel I'd not had since I got a HTC ONE X a few years ago.
