  1. The Salvation: A western with Mads Mikkelsen and Eva Green. Sign me up. Tense, dark and pretty damn violent. Enemy: Basically my favourite film released in 2014. If you like dark, confusing thrillers you could do much worse here.
  2. Basic problem I seem to have is that I simply can't get any new gear above 280. I want to love this game but I fear my social anxiety will always put a limit on just how much I can get out of the game.
  3. Okay so I've hit Light Level 290 and I fear I've ran out of ways to increase that without Raiding. Is that pretty much accurate?
  4. Isn't the point to the movie that 'Life goes on, regardless of the shit that we go through' and that Dr Stone (that's her name right?) accepts this, and then is reborn in that somewhat annoying scene at the end?
  5. The game? Play the story, hit the strikes and level up that light score.
  6. Fairly sure its the top setting in the video options. 'Soldier Camera' or something along those lines. I think you can swap camera's whilst in-game too, at least on consoles. I made the switch to 3rd person and much prefered it, the movements speeds seem to suit that style a little more IMO.
  7. I think it's a fun, if not altogether revolutionary online shooter with some soft feeling shooting. It looks fantastic on PC, and if you're into Star Wars you're probably going to enjoy being in that world, but for the most part it feels awfully forgetful.
  8. Okay, so I've realised the game is built to be a 3rd person shooter that's got a tacked on first 1st person view. It feels much more natural when you're playing in 3rd person, plus running around as a StormTrooper is always a lark.
  9. I just finished a 2 hour stint on Destiny. First thing I noticed about Battlefront? The shooting feels very not-fun in comparison. I know they're going for different things, but Yuck.
  10. I'd just like to point out that I really do like The Martian, it's a good; enjoyable sci-fi film that I hope we get more of in the future. It's got issues, and some of them are large, but for the most part I'm willing to admit that I was acting like the butt-hurt book fan that I try hard to ignore, however I'm only human. I was disappointed, but a week later I feel like I've accepted the film for what it is, and that's a bloody enjoyable film that I can't wait to watch again. So yeah, go see The Martian, you won't regret it.
  11. I know you've got the whole 'Forum Asshole' thing going on but really? Do you walk around with a stick up your ass all the time or is it just this persona you use on a web forum to give yourself some illusion of power? If you're looking for a reason to be offended, you won't find it in that post. I was making a point about a girl, not all girls. Pffft.
  12. I fear I may have been a touch harsh, maybe a little overly emotional. The Martian is certainly an enjoyable movie, I think I wanted more than that and didn't get it. The ending is imo, not good, but it I let it cloud my overall view of the film. It's got its floors; pacing, a severe lack of time dedicated to Mark and how tough he has it on Mars, and the background characters are barely more than cardboard cut-outs, but I think all of those are down to film length; the second to last scene in space though, I can't forgive that. The Martian is good, you should go see it.
  13. The Martian. Maybe I'm disappointed or maybe the film just isn't all that good? It was plodding along rather well until the final third, where the wheels fell off in rather spectacular fashion. I don't know, I'll probably go back for a second viewing at some point, but right now I'm just sort of 'Meh' about the entire film.
  14. **BUMP** Can't speak for the rest of you, but I know my time spent on Rocket League has dropped recently, that being said I'd still be interested in this. Anyone else?
  15. Got a little update to my original comments. Me and Dannii (we share a name, it's awkward) have started to game together, turns out she is actually pretty okay at COD, granted we're only playing against Bots but she holds her own and it allows me to rid myself of that itch. She also said If I ever wanted to game whilst she's around, thats cool too; just not all day long (fair). So yeah, communication is good right, I should do that more often.
  16. No one got Tony Hawk then?

If it doesn't come with a fake skateboard peripheral I'm just not interested.

      Did anyone? Skate 4, please.

Yeah, the only thing this game has been good for is falsely alarming my alert for Skate 4 news. So it's a disappointment that goes beyond its own boundaries.

  17. WAT! When did you see this? Got my ticket for Wednesday at midday, and I can't wait. I've heard it's fairly true to the novel (obviously minus some of the scientific waffle because time), and on the whole it's a pretty great film on its own.
  18. Is it better to stack them or use one at a time on individual strikes? I just ran one this evening and got a legendary....banner thing. I was kind of hoping for a helmet or a nice gun; guess I'll try again tomorrow. Still no luck with any Rare's though, although I guess maybe they're storing them all up for me.....probably not.

  20. Okay I may have missed the boat on this one, but I've picked up the 3 of Coins (15 in total). How best to use em? Do Rare Engrams not turn into Legendaries anymore? I've had absolutely zero luck in that regard.
  21. Anyone tempted to go back and hit the original Raids? I never got a chance to do them, but would really like to take a stab at them.
  22. So, I'll no doubt end up grabbing one of these but is anyone else kind of wishing Nintendo would just do away with their home console business? They make some truly awesome games, but aside from Mario Maker, what games released on Wii U wouldn't have worked on a PS4, PC or XONE?
