  1. Football meets Distruction Derby. This game is fan-effin-tastic. It's available on PC and PS4 (where it's currently free on PS+) and its got cross-platform multiplayer. If you enjoy short, action-filled PVP I think this is worth a look, especially for free. I think we stand a chance of making this a regular XPOD thing too. It'd be perfect.
  2. Picked this game up for a few quid in a recent sale. How is everyone finding it? Firstly, I adore the aesthetic, and the whole theme to be honest. I'm all over swords and dynasty's, it's right up my street. The game itself? I'm enjoying it, although I find myself bumping into the same issues I had with XCOM:EU in that I hate the kingdom construction aspects, I'm actively bad at them and it makes the actual combat even more frustrating. I've played about 5 hours, and I'm currently on my 2nd game after I suffered huge losses in a previous battle and decided all hope was lost.
  3. I can't believe I'm the only person to play Her Story. Come on guys!

I've played it, me and my gf played it together. It's pretty cool. After a certain point I ran into a wall with it and couldn't really think of anything else to enter and I didn't want to go back and watch stuff I'd already watched. So I came out of it without really making my mind up on some of the biggest questions. but I might go back one day.

I don't want to play a game that you make notes on - sounds too much like work.

At some point you're just trying to remember key words.

  4. Finished the game last night; here's my ending.
  5. I'm not really an open world guy. I'd rather my stories be precise, to the point and more akin to how it went down in Witcher 2, which in itself was no small game. Still, i can see how and why people enjoy just wandering around the world, it's beautifully crafted.
  6. Witcher 3 You know that feeling you get when you finish a good book and say bye to all of the great characters you've met along the way? I've got that right now. I hope it's not the end of the Garalt story, but if it is then I'm happy with its conclusion, and the final game as a whole. I don't think I enjoyed it as much as its prequel, but I can see why the game won so many fans. I'm still annoyed at how things went down with Triss, but that aside I really enjoyed this game. Witcher 2 > Witcher Wild Hunt > Witcher
  7. Anywhere inside 15 miles of my current location. I've got a scooter, and I'm leaning to drive; travel isn't an issue. Although I will say that driving a Scooter is proving the main hurdle in finding cheap accommodation. I need somewhere with off-road parking, or a garage. Leaving the scooter on the road is less a case of if it will be stolen, and more a case of when. Not an issue with a car.
  8. where are you looking? We talking location or what I'm using to find the place? **Just found out my step-dad has been made redundant, so it alleviates the pressure on me to move out somewhat. Now I can save up a bit more; buy myself a car first **

  10. I thought he nailed the role in The Guest. If it wasn't for the fact I knew his face, I'd have had no idea he wasn't American. Super hot bod too. As for non-entity, that's basically how he acts in A Walk Among the Tombstones.
  11. Among the Sleep Fairly simplistic game where you play as a toddler. Didn't love the gameplay, but the final 5 minutes was fantastic, goosebump inducing.
  12. Her Story Fantastic little 'game' that will probably feature in my top 5 games of the year. I need to discuss this game with someone.
  13. I should explain the loud PC thing. My CPU fan is currently extremely loud, it's the stock AMD one, and I've not got around to changing it out yet. So there's that. Throw in the fact that we've got laminate flooring throughout the house, which makes my bastard of a desk chair rumble whenever it's pushed along it, the already mentioned keyboard and the position of my bedroom (shares a wall with the parents), it's not really a viable time for me to game on my PC. I've got PS4, but Sony forgot how to make games and nothing Nintendo has put out in the last year has interested me in the slightest.
  14. I got the option, but for some reason I figured I'd get another chance to tell her, so I opted for the second, less sappy conversation option and she basically said it was a mistake (IIRC) that we should forget about. I've not seen her since. If I'm still a ways off I'll slow myself down then; enjoy the experience even more than I already have. Going to grab the rest of the Feline gear and finish off some more Witcher quests.
  15. Looking for a flat of my own but they're all around £450 a month. This is for a fairly basic studio flat. It's downright criminal how much they're allowed to charge; I could get a 3 bedroom semi-detached for £100 more a month.
  16. Yup, the expansion stuff was what I was talking about, I've been grabbing the weekly DLC as and when it's available. As for Triss, she got on the boat and I never saw her again. I believe I told Dijkstra I wasn't in the mood for one of his stories right now. If I could redo one moment from this game It'd be that one. @deanb - yup, Isle of Mist. I was under the impression I'll be watching a cutscene, and then heading back to Kaer Morhen (whatever), is that not the case? I'm really bummed about fluffing my lines with Triss. [emoji20]
  17. Bummed. Triss sailed off, and I decided if I couldn't have her, I didn't want Yen either. So now my Geralt is going to prawl the lands aimlessly having casual sex with whomever he pleases whilst secretly wishing Triss will come back one day to give him the love he craves. Anyway's, I think I'm about as close to finishing the game as I can be without starting the final push. I've got one main quest left 'get on boat'. I'm not sure if I'm ready for the adventure to end yet, or if I'm in need of a break. I worry that after completing the game I'll lose all interest in the world and thus, become unable to finish off some of the side quests. When does the DLC hit?
  18. We've played a little bit of Portal 2 Co-Op, and talked about playing some COD Zombies, however she's not as...(this is gonna sound awful) skilled as me, and thus it becomes a tiny bit frustrating for more fast paced games. Wouldn't mind going through Game of Thrones with her, but I'm not sure she's that interested. As for sleep, I work nights. I'd rather not fuck my sleep up any more than it already is. I'm back at the parent's house at the moment. Hopefully when I've got my own place I'll be more willing to pull the occasional late night. I'm very aware that my PC is loud and my keyboard isn't mechanical; I'd wake them up. I don't need that on my concious along with the feelings that come along with moving back into the parents place.
  19. I had massive problems after the big event in the middle of the film.

Also worth noting that Daniel didn't say "ban guns" might have meant "about the whole guns thing, stop using them to kill people k?"

  22. I've been seeing this girl for around 7 months now, and things are going wonderfully. We recently spent the entire week together at my place, and it went without a hitch; great times were head. However (yeah), I noticed my gaming time has drastically shrunk in the 7 months we have been together. For the most part I consider this a 'New Relationship' thing; something that will inevitably fix itself in the coming months as we settle in to our roles in said relationship. Despite enjoying the fuck out of the time we spend together, and despite the fact that she's a keen gamer herself, I find myself missing the days where I could spend 7-8 hours of my day off playing games. The Witcher 3 being a prime example. Games been out over a month and I've only once managed to dedicate more than 4 hours to it. So I guess the question I'm asking is, How do you guys manage your time between your hobbies and your socially responsible, working lives?
  23. Most of the above list was picked up on GOG actually. They had some pretty nice deals on games, whereas Steam's offerings seemed to be a tad weaker. Although I might have already exhausted their catalogue of interesting titles.
